  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) Which shows that Pujols shot really wasn't that great Yep, except Pujols homer left the solar system and is now the Pujols Comet.
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:42 PM) The HR was awesome, but that still doesn't make Pods clutch. The HR was awesome but Pods is not clutch? How many clutch positions has Pods been in like that one? He is 1 for 1 in clutch hits in my book. BAD THROW CLUTCH HIT
  3. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:39 PM) Yeah and I think it might have been Brian Anderson that said "Oh my God." I was saying the same thing.
  4. QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) Why would anyone be feeling foolish for saying podsednik is not clutch? Sure, that homerun was f***ing huge... but people only seem to remember when players do well ( podsednik and timo) and forget all the times they fail in the clutch. His throw was awful whether you agree or not. Yeah, but that was one of the most improbable clutch hits of all time. A guy hits zero HR's all year, then hits a walk-off against one of the best relievers in the game.
  5. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) If Podsednik makes even a decent throw the game would have been over anyways. Nice try though. :rolly Pods was saving his arm for the homer!
  6. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:31 PM) I cannot believe it. Podsednik goes yard. My 2 favorite home runs of all time come about an hour away from each other. Yeah, I thought Game 1 was the best game I had ever seen, now I have a new one. A Konerko 2-out Grand Slam and a Pods Walk-off Home Run off of one of the best Relievers in the game. Crazy just Crazy!
  7. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:28 PM) Can I ficking call it!!!!! Yeah, but Pods off of Lidge? You could never call that, ever. I can't believe I just saw that.
  8. NO f***IN WAY!!!!! A PODS WALK OFF HOMER!!! PUJOLS NOW PODS!!!!!
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) He took a long time to get rid of it. He had the ball in shallow LF when Burke got to 3rd base. Yeah, he should have had him. Now we just need to get to the bottom of the inning with a tie.
  10. QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:07 PM) This post season will always and forever be known for poor umpiring. Those questionable calls will be a slight cloud for a while but eventually the awesome baseball that this team is playing will come out on top. The AJ play in Game 2 of the ALCS was a non factor when the Sox took the next 3 in Anaheim. Houston also had a couple of calls go their way in the NLCS.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:04 PM) Well, as you know, it wouldn't have been a ball due to the foul strike. I know, but then JD gets another pitch > then walks anyway. They could have made a pitching change but they didn't want Konerko to pull a Pujols on Lidge again.
  12. QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 23, 2005 -> 10:00 PM) yea.. like last night, with Bagwell.. It was a ball anyway, so that still does not lead to PK's Grand Slam. Get Konerko out and there is no issue.
  13. HOLY s***!!!!! PAULIE!!!!! 2 OUT GRAND SLAM!!!! KLUTCH!!!!!!
  14. Cotts looks more nervous in the interview than he does on the mound, how funny.
  15. Cotts and Jenks = 5 K's in 2 Innings pitched. That is domination right there. That 8th Inning had to take the life out of the Astros. Now they have to think of that every game now.
  16. OWWWNNNEEDD! YES!! Rusty? How about rested and ready to torch the Astros!
  17. QUOTE(Wanne @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) We talk about PK makin some bucks for himself during the postseason....what about Crede?!?...CHA-CHING! Joe Crede - 2005 Salary - $400,000 He is doing pretty good for that salary!
  18. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 22, 2005 -> 08:43 PM) That's a great inning by Contreras. Yes, great inning to get settled down. Now he needs to string a few 1-2-3 innings together as the Sox add a few more runs.
  19. JUAN OWNS!!!!! 3-1!!!!! in the 2nd inning!!!!!
