Chicago @ Boston - ALDS Game 3
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) Question for those who can watch: Why didn't Iguchi score on Dye's 2 out hit? It wasn't up the gap that far and he would have been out halfway home.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Oct 4, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) If I'm the Red Sox trainer i give Clement a couple puffs of his inhaler. He looks like he is running out of breath already. He needs it after that inning. He looked scared.

What's your #1 key to a ALDS win?
I think the games will all come down to more of the intangibles, than the standard pirching vs hitting. 1. Limit walks and leadoff hits 2. Solid Baserunning 3. Solid Defense 4. Someone must step up

Griffey likely done for year
Didn't see this posted. Looks like Griffey was hurt pretty bad rounding the bases the other day. He may be out for the rest of the year (month). That would have been a disaster if the Sox picked him up and then he got injured like this. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2153942 Good non-move KW!

6 man rotation?
A 6-man rotation would just actually replicate like the team had a day off in the middle of a set of games which is a good thing. Also, this would give B-Mac some extra starts, would allow the rest of the starters to stay fresh, but also stay loose. Then in the playoffs, you can use any extra starters for long relief. If they went to a 4 man rotation in the playoffs, it is hard to say who #4 would be. Jose has came on strong, El Duque is awesome in the playoffs, and B-Mac is a fresh lively arm. They also have their weaknesses, Jose is known for his inconsistency, El Duque is only having an average season, and B-Mac is a rookie. I guess in the long run, it is better to have 6 quality starters than 1-2 and trying to patch a starting rotation together (see Yankees).

Juan Uribe
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) Well I think Bill Melton mentioned that Uribe had recently added a little leg kick to get his timing down so he doesn't swing out of control. I think it's working so far. I'll have to watch for it next time he plays. A few players are using it now. I saw Aaron doing it as well. Looks like it is really working.

The official "Sox Captions" Thread!
QUOTE(TheBigHurt @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) I'm BEGGING someone to come up with something for this one......... .... Instead of extra innings, the teams decided to play leap frog to decide the game... and the Sox won on this wonderful leap at 2nd base. Leap Gone!

Jenks touching his hat.
He bought some from Palmiero, who was selling the rosin really cheap for some reason.
