Damn, that was sweet. What a momentum swing. Hopefully they can take that to the plate this inning.

Contreras / Danks Flip
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ May 25, 2007 -> 06:24 PM) Not really, Conteras stayed right in his normal spot, Danks took over Garlands spot. Since Massett pitched they didnt "flip" For simplicity they did flip since Masset was just added to the rotation and did not replace someone who missed a start. Count normally pitched after Danks, and now he pitches before him. So in essence, they did flip with the others staying at 2,3, and 4. Anyway you look at it, it is the same exact thing, and you can actually say it 5 different ways, with each guy being #1.

Contreras / Danks Flip
QUOTE(striker62704 @ May 25, 2007 -> 02:02 PM) Great now Danks will lose to Santana instead of losing to Kazmir, who will both dominate our hitters. The Sox will probably win both games.

Contreras / Danks Flip
QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 25, 2007 -> 01:33 PM) They just couldnt move the Count up a start. The rotation is no longer a 1-5 situation as the season has already started. Plus its now RLRLR Actually it is now LRLRR since Danks swapped with Contreras. It used to be RRLRL, and either way it is still one RHP between two LHP. It doesn't really matter where the LHPs are as long as they do not follow each other.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/23/2007 (L)
Wow, horrible play. If you are going to run all the way to 2nd, you might as well slide.

Jon doesn't have the best stuff tonight. 45 pitches thru 2 innings. He needs a couple 1-2-3's to get him going.

Nice pitch for Jon on that K.

Outfield Options
QUOTE(toasty @ May 22, 2007 -> 04:59 PM) ROWAND That probably doesn't need to be green. KW loves him, and if he continues to play well while Philly drops out of the playoff picture, there is a chance that he will be back in a Sox uniform. He moves into Center, and Erstad moves to left. Slim chance, but you never know.

Greg Walker's job is safe!
You can't really compare AL teams to NL teams for stats like this. The Sox are 17 points behind Texas for 13th in the AL.

A sweep will be the true indicator that this team is turning it around.

The 2007 White Sox Pitching Staff
For the Buehrle-Danks comparison, Danks numbers are very similar to Buehrle's career numbers. Also, Buehrle was an All-Star at 23, his second year starting. The way Danks is pitching this year, as long as he gets run support he will have a decent shot within the next few years to match that. I love the fact that we have two LHP starters. I really hope they find a way to keep Mark.

1/4 Season Update
QUOTE(YASNY @ May 23, 2007 -> 06:24 AM) To get to 24 games over by the 90 game mark, we'd have to go 36-14 from the time of your post. That's more than a .700 clip. Don't hold your breath. YASNY, I based that projection on our current record against teams at or below .500. I also had to consider the SOS for the next 50 games compared to what the Sox did over the first 40. It did come out a little on the high side, and something around 51-39 is probably more realistic.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WIINER!
Thome and Dye heating up. 3 straight games with a solid offense. Very nice to see. A sweep tomorrow.

White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:46 PM) He and Iguchi has been giving the worst at bats on the team IMO, so that's not a coincidence. I cannot believe we are scoring this many runs with Ozuna, Mackowiak, and Cintron in the starting lineup. Who is available off the bench?
-
White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
The odd thing is this offense started to click once Crede left the lineup against the Cubs.
-
White Sox vs. A's, 5/22/2007 (W)
Yeah, Ozuna should get an error for that.
