QUOTE(SoxRock05 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) Does anyone know who the official Gm1 and Gm2 MVP's were? They don't give out game MVP's.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) The Rally Crede actually found the basement in the Alamo...... And beat Geraldo to Capone's vault..

QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 10:10 AM) What has Lou Piniella done lately? Jumped ship on a sinking TB club. No thanks to that kind of manager.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:49 AM) MLB should've been enforcing whatever criteria they used the whole season. To all of a sudden in the World Series start enforcing something and not letting a team take full homefield advantage is idiotic. Every other game the blimp and their sponsors don't pay several million $$'s to show overhead shots. If the Stros want it closed.. let them pay the $$ back - that's what this is all about - and not expect the players, the Sox or MLB to reduce their take.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 09:11 PM) You spend more time looking up this s*** then supporting the team. *sniff, sniff* what's that smell? :headshake

QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 09:30 AM) How about taking a dollar from each admission and donate it to hers? SFF Somehow I don't think the Sox, MLB, or the players will go along with that idea.

He is banned from the Cell. And poor Brooks...

Non issue. It aint going to game 5.

QUOTE(spiffalicious @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 06:16 AM) Are you guys sure it's general admission? I thought it was too, but last night I bought tickets for both games and they gave me actual seat locations. It's GA in terms of the cost. Where are you sitting and did you get to request location?

QUOTE(Soxman72 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 03:37 PM) Bernie Mac sat across from me during game one and he is a nice guy. He had his Sox stuff on and he was really getting into the game. He did leave by the 5th inning to go upstairs for interviews. The Dahl's were ripping him a new one. I think that's why he went upstairs.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:35 PM) I'm sure they know about where it landed, enough people in the area would point out the person, and I am sure the balls are all "Official World Series" labeled balls that you can't buy at your local K-Mart. They are, and there is a rep from the firm MLB uses there to authenticate the balls. Jason was telling us about how he could, or did, try to get an internship with them.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:05 PM) Yeah, I've heard brief mention of Bobby's "problems". What's the deal with him, how exactly is he a "lunatic"? It all started when Jenks got suspended from the Angels' Class AA team for repeatedly bringing beer on the bus. From several credible sources he, "in a drunken stupor, took a lighter and burned the backside of his pitching hand, opening a wound the size of a silver dollar. He then torched his left hand and the underside of both forearms — before passing out." He also would refer to his agent, Matt Soshnick, as D.J. — short for Dirty Jew (Jenks has denied this). Soshnick, now one of four former agents of Jenks, told a magazine: "Imagine being in the top five in the world at what you do, and your demons are so terrible that your ability is dwarfed. That's Bobby Jenks. The worst thing that could happen is if he gets to the big leagues. If he gets to the big leagues, he'll free fall. He can't handle success." For a long while, the demons seemed to be winning. Jenks was demoted to Class A, sidelined last year with a serious elbow injury and eventually taken off the Angels' roster last winter. The White Sox, who saw the electric fastball and figured they could work with the attitude, claimed him for $20,000.

QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) We're playing the wait and see game also. If they win Tuesday, we're going to the UC on Wednesday, if not Thursday then. LOL. It'll be just like a tailgate.
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) Next home game for the Hawks is Saturday. You meant Tuesday.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) Bulls vs. Grizz...only Wednesday and Thursday, are you planing on going either night? Likely Thursday unless we win Tuesday, then we'll go on Wednesday. You bringing the usual suspects..?

Are they doing this Tuesday?? Aren't the Blackhawks playing that night?

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) Very cool. Thanks, Steff. Looks like I'll be locking that one in. Congrats!!

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) Damn, I thought he had a daughter? Sophia is a boy's name?? That would be Garcia's daughter's name.

QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:51 AM) I'm thinking about getting Upper Deck 27 game double play plan. I know for full season ticket plans in the UD they let you go all over the park. Is the same true for the split season plans? I'm asking you guys because the line is STILL f***ING busy at 674-1000 Yes, you can roam all over with ST.
-
QUOTE(drowninginflame @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) It's a crime real fans aren't in the park for these games. Oh well, hopefully we missed our chance and the whole thing is over in Houston. There were plenty of "real" fans in the park. They just paid face X5 to be there.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) Now I am a softy and if Konerko said he wanted to give it to his new baby daughter, His new son would probably be pissed about that..

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 24, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) He had elbow problems when he was in the Angel's minor league system. He had a screw inserted into his elbow while in their system, it's one of the reasons he was placed on waivers. He's throwing 100mph with the screw so it can't be hindering him all that much. He was put on waivers because he was a lunatic.
