That's it.. and I liked Samauri also. I liked how it made him human and able to be beat.. and learn from it.

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 01:44 PM) Yaeah, that was Top Gun... no wait, it was Days of Thunder, er.. no, Cocktail.... I mean Risky Business... no, wait... I never gave him any credit as an actor until Born on the 4th of July and Rainman. But, no, range and versatility are not among his strong suits. I hated all the movies he did before Born on the 4th.. but after seeing his performance in it I watched a few of the others and realized that it was a bit difficult to play such a dork. I absolutely loved Minority Report and that one he just did with Jamie Fox (of which I can not recall the name of to save my life here... grrr). I'm looking forward to this one. Moreso because of Dakota Fanning. IMO, she is one hell of a child actress.

Is it hot outside! The car thermometer said 102 here in Hillside. I can only imagine what it is out in Plainfield where it's usually 5 to 8 degrees hotter. And they say tomorrow will be worse.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) I'm not even keeping my Willie picture that he signed. I hate him. You can have it if you want. I was only there for Freddy and B-Mac. Write a note explaining his behavior towards you and send it and the picture back to the Sox...

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Would you rather wait in the heat to talk to BMac and Garcia? Or wait in line to talk to BMac and Garcia and get a signed picture from Willie? I rather not be treated rudely by someone there FOR THE FANS. And it's a shame that Willie Harris can't act like an adult and do what he is paid to do rather than make a spectical of himself. Sooner or later (hopefully sooner) someone dishes him a nice big fat helping of kick ass in the shower to bring him back down where he belongs.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:47 AM) BANISH HIM TO HELL Yes, please do. He can't give an hour of attention to people who took off work, or braved the hot weather to stand in line and get an autograph from a player of their favorite team.. who was PAID to appear... He's an ass.. always has been, always will be.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 11:19 AM) However, you don't control whether or not someone else driving their car will kill you. Therefore, you should never drive again. No s***.. I also don't have control over the air I breathe, but you don't see me or most others walking around with an oxygen tank. I have to drive a car.. I don't have to go in the ocean. You control the things you can. As I said before.. pretty f***ing stupid.

QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) I look at it this way... Would you rather burn to death or freeze to death. Burning sounds a lot more painful. I choose the cold. Never been either so I don't know, but I did have a touch of frostbite on my hand a few years ago and from that experience I definitely think freezing to death would be much worse.

QUOTE(Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 05:06 PM) I say Albert won't get in. He made a lot of enemies, and I think people will look at him as a terrific talent who didn't get the most out of his abilities. I think he is the 1990's Dave Kingman. Frank is a mortal lock. Other than Hannah Storm - who 95% of the league and reporters praised him for telling her to STFU - who do you think are Albert's enemies..? Didn't get the most out of his abilities...? The guys hip was falling apart for most of his career. It's amazing he played as long and as well as he did. Frank.. mortal lock..? By who..? The media that hates his guts..?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 12:02 AM) Thanks Chisoxy Just mapquested it and its like 19 miles, which isn't bad. Of course I don't know which part of Chicago thats from, but anyone know if there are some good prices on housing out there? Jason.. I have some stuff at the office. I'll email you later with some details.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) On a random sidenote, where is Oakbrook? The company I'm interning for has an office out there as well as in Chicago and I thought it could be nice to try and get a gig out there for a couple weeks. But thats only if Oakbrook is close enough to Chicago. Route 83 and 22nd is where most of the businesses are. Not to far at all from the Cell. Maybe 30 minutes.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 12:29 AM) This whole thread is so damned irrational. You're scared of going in the ocean because of sharks, but you're not scared of getting in your car every day? Or of walking outside? Rationalize it all you want. I control whether I get bit by a shark. I to a point control if I fall down stairs, drown in the bath, etc.. don't like my fear, so be it. But s*** on it.. that's pretty f***ing stupid, in my opinion.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) I remember when I was 10, we went down to Florida one summer and multiple times they had to clear out the water cuz of shark threats. You can imagine what a movie like "Jaws" would do to a kid like I was, and than this happened. I never stepped foot in the Gulf. All those years I lived in Florida I never went into the ocean past my ankles. I would see my family out there and just cringe. I don't get the allure. Sand, salt, smelly, people going to the bathroom in it, sharks, etc, etc.. I'll take a pool over the ocean anyday. I don't go in lakes either. Ick.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/06/27/shark.attack/index.html Boy critical after 2nd Florida shark attack Monday, June 27, 2005; Posted: 2:57 p.m. EDT (18:57 GMT) (CNN) -- Another teenager was the victim of a shark attack in the Gulf of Mexico, law enforcement officials on the Florida panhandle said Monday. Christa Hild, a spokeswoman for Bay Medical Center in Panama City, said the boy was in critical condition with severe injuries and was in the operating room. She said his family was on the way. Laura Taylor, secretary for the Gulf County Sheriff's Department, told CNN that the attack happened at Cape San Blas on St. Joseph's Peninsula. She had no further information. WMBB reporter Kira Mathis told CNN the boy was fishing on a sandbar, about 50 yards from shore, with another boy when the attack took place. He was taken to a nearby hospital and then flown to Bay Medical Center by helicopter. Witnesses told Mathis he was "in and out of consciousness." In Panama City, Hild said the boy arrived shortly before noon. Cape San Blas is about 95 miles southeast of Miramar Beach, where a 14-year-old Louisiana girl was killed Saturday in a shark attack. (Full story) http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,152602,00.html Thousands of sharks seen off the coast.. Umm.. hello people.. if someone came into your house hoootin and hollerin wouldn't you want them out.. The ocean is the sharks house. Please don't be surprised if you get asked to leave by one..

QUOTE(farmteam @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:36 PM) This is why they should call it a furnace, to not confuse us idiots. Apparently I've been left outside too long, eh? LOL.. then I have also. I couldn't remember the word furnace..

QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 27, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) You serious? It's a furnace. As opposed to radiant heat. The word furnace totally escaped me there.
