QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) You can always sell you extras for tomorrow's game to me Ya, i know what you're saying though, last year was my first time at Sox-Cubs games and there were a ton of Cubs fans, to many...... If I had extras I would have let those here know.. I had family obligations first and they used them up. I would never sell tickets to a Cub fan. Especially our season seats.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Ya, 9 game package or higher to get tickets for this series. But there will be plenty of Cub fans.. I know a lot of Sox fans that sold their tickets to Cub fans. I didn't... but when they are willing to pay what amounts to 1/4 of your ticket package it's mighty tempting..

Sigh.. Ray Ray...

We've been close several times.. in the 90's for most of the last 20 years. Won 99 in '83.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 08:25 AM) There is one guy in the city of Chicago sportsworld who walks right into the owners office and negotiates his contract face to face, without an agent present. Frank and Jerry negotiate contracts with none of the BS. If Frank wants to come back to Chicago next year, and doesn't want an insane amount of money, he will be here. Period. You sure you don't mean Ozzie...??? Arn is Frank's agent, and while it's not the normal owner/agent relationship.. Jerry urged Frank to hire Arn to take care of him after Frank's previous agent died in the Payne Stewart plane crash.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 23, 2005 -> 07:41 AM) Isn't Dusty Baker just the cooler version of Jerry Manual? He's a larger more obnoxious version.. cooler...I dunno. Was Jerry "darker" than dusty.. ?

QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) We got a great team and crowds have been good of late. We should be drawing a minimum of 30,000 a game from now on in, but that ain't gonna happen. I have a question for those who have been going to games loyally the past 5 or so years. With the renovations of the past couple summers ... is the park much more attractive than it was before the renovations? Just curious. I haven't been to a game since the renovations and was just wondering. Has the rooftop, etc. made it much better? Just asking. For those that care about how the park looks.. I guess. -
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:52 PM) You call yourself captain obvious, yet you can't see this. Frank is gone after this year. If they could've, he'da been gone last year or the year before. Not as long as Jerry signs Kenny's check's he wont be.

QUOTE(Hideaway Lights @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) How many of those years are after 2000? Thomas 2003 or Rowand 2004 (both of their last complete seasons)...who had the better year? Are you serious..?? -
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, June 22, 2005 MEDIA ADVISORY The Chicago White Sox are making the following recommendations to fans planning to attend this weekend’s games against the Chicago Cubs: Fans should arrive at the ballpark early to avoid traffic. Gates to the ballpark will open two hours prior to game time each day. The White Sox recommend that fans utilize public transportation. The CTA Red Line stops near the ballpark at 35th Street and the Green Line is just two blocks further east. Fans driving to the ballpark with a reserved parking coupon should follow the directions on the coupon back to reach their assigned parking area. Parking coupons should be displayed prominently as fans approach the ballpark. Fans intending to drive and pay for cash parking should follow directional signs to available lots. Cash will be accepted at Lots F, G and L. Signs will be changed as lots fill, directing fans to the nearest available parking. Additional parking may be directed to IIT, located just east of the Dan Ryan Expressway between 33rd and 35th streets. Free shuttle buses will transport fans to the ballpark from there. Tailgating is permitted all three days, and parking lots will open three hours before game time. Tailgating during and after games is prohibited. For Friday’s game ONLY, fans can park in Lot A beginning at 6:00 a.m., take the El to work, and return to the ballpark that afternoon. Lot A is accessible from Wentworth Avenue between 33rd and 35th streets. Cash and parking coupons for Friday’s game will be accepted. Tailgating will be permitted after noon. Fans driving to the ballpark can tune their radios to AM 1620 or ESPN 1000 for traffic updates. The weekend’s games are sold out. If fans are not holding tickets for a game, they should not come to the ballpark. No standing room tickets will be sold. The Fan Deck has been sold to group customers for all three days. It will not be open to the public. For the convenience of fans, additional portable concession stands will be placed in the upper deck and outfield concourses for the series. Fans holding tickets for the upper level will not be able to access other levels of the ballpark. This policy ensures that fans enjoy the game with access to the areas of the ballpark where they bought tickets. F & L have been added as cash lots.. Let the b****ing begin...

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 04:12 PM) I guess we can all use a course in how to read, huh? I understand what you were getting at now... and my point to say why risk it clarifies he didn't say it was happening - so don't anyone go out and report it as fact now, ya hear? Yea..maybe some could. :rolly Why risk a "tempertantrum"... guess I think that's a pretty stupid thing to say when by all indications the clubhouse has been a pleasure.. and for those with cloudy memories Frank OFFERED to hit 4th last year behind Maggs so to make a comment that he might get pissed if asked to hit 4th is bulls***, IMO, because he's given up the spot previously. Someone on this thread sure did appear to take it as fact.... -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Why even test it? Frank is killing the ball and drawing walks. He isn't hurting the team in the 3 spot. Why risk a tempertantrum and the clubhouse meltdown for a minimal gain right now? If Frank wasn't hitting this might be a consideration, right now it is just kicking a sleeping dog in the nuts. GMAB Mike.. you don't know if this is what's happening and I don't think it's fair to make a statement that some will choose (or have chosen) to be taken as fact. -
Lot A on Friday is cash before work.

What's he b****ing about...?? LOL.

QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Too bad. gotta be killing Wills to miss this and watch Travis Harper give up 13 runs in the 8th inning. Wills is missed. He's doing good. Making the best of it. Very missed.

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) It should would be an added bonus to still have Willsy on the radio, wouldn't it? No Dave back for at least 2 years..

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) He should worry about not sucking so much during the post-game. He is terrible. He must wear out a set of knee pads a week on South Oak Dodge..

QUOTE(Be Good @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Francona also called me about 3B I told him that Blalock might be a better option then Crede, so we'll see what happens.
