Bonderman is what... 8-4 now...? I know last night he went 7 innings and I think gave up 1 run and 3 walks.. but his ERA is under 4 (3.8..??) and he's got 70+ K's.. Not too bad.

QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:04 AM) ? Uribe has way less mobility than Royce did.. I didn't say Uribe was better..

Soxy.. I want to apologize because my response was rude. The subject of age/race/length of relationship, etc, etc.. and the questioning and or bashing (not that you bashed it) is something that seriously gets under my skin. You have the right to your opinion, and while I disagree with it, I should have just left the thread without commenting.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 10:01 AM) Right, but everybody chose to have comments about these two and the length of their relationship. I mean everybody. Never judge until you walk in somebody elses shoes...right? No.. not everybody.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:57 AM) OK I don't get it. What is the big deal? I don't see any death threats or anything, why is everyone all up in arms? Yeah its stupid to ask for money for a drying cleaning when you make something like 170,000 dollars a year, but is that what is making this national news? For the sheer stupidity of it

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:56 AM) Then all the comments should be stricken from everybody, including the ones about the length of time they have known each other. I proposed to my wife after 2 1/2 months of knowing each other. 11 years and later, and with 2 kids, our relationship has never been stronger in all aspects. I understand these are Hollywood folks, but sometimes you just know when something is different. Good for you guys Kid. Everyone and every relationship is different.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) Check the stats. That's all I can tell you. Iirc, he was in the top 3 his first year with us. Right.. because he never moved. Can't make an error if you don't attempt to get to the ball.

A man staggered into a hospital with a concussion, multiple bruises, two black eyes, and a five iron wrapped tightly around his throat. Naturally, the Doctor asked him, "What happened to you?" "Well, I was having a quiet round of golf with my wife, when at a difficult hole, we both sliced our balls into a cow pasture. We went to look for them and while I was looking around I noticed one of the cows had something white at its rear end." "I walked over, lifted its tail, and sure enough, there was a golf ball with my wife's monogram on it - stuck right in the middle of the cow's butt. Still holding the cow's tail up, I yelled to my wife, "Hey, this looks like yours!" "I don't remember much after that..."

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) I just realized she's closer in age to his kids than to him. Weird. What's so weird about that..? I'm closer to Jim's kids age than his.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) Royce has more range than people around here ... correction; had more range .... give him credit for. I can't speak for his range today. But when he was with the Sox, he was always in the top of the league in chances. Correct me if I am wrong.. but Royce rarely moved. Everything within arms shot he got to.. but he was a statue out there was he not..?

The Hormone Hostage knows that there are days in the month when all a man has to do is open his mouth and he takes his life in his hands. This "Handy Hormone Hostage Guide" should be as common as a driver's license in the wallet of every husband, boyfriend, or significant other. DANGEROUS: What's for dinner? SAFER: Can I help you with dinner? SAFEST: Where would you like to go for dinner? DANGEROUS: Are you wearing THAT? SAFER: Gee, you look good in brown! SAFEST: WOW! Look at you! DANGEROUS: What are you so worked up about? SAFER: Could we be overreacting? SAFEST: Here's fifty dollars. DANGEROUS: Should you be eating that? SAFER: You know, there are a lot of apples left. SAFEST: Can I get you a glass of wine with that? And my personal favorite......... DANGEROUS: What did you DO all day? SAFER: I hope you didn't overdo it today! SAFEST: Ya know, I've always loved you in that robe.

Updated June 16, 2005, 2:50 p.m. ET WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — The driver of an ice cream truck was charged with drunken driving after a woman called police saying she saw a man throw a can of malt liquor onto her lawn. Police stopped David A. Blundell, 43, in his ice cream truck a short time after the homeowner complained last Thursday, according to the criminal complaint. Blundell first denied drinking but then admitted that he had a beer for breakfast, the complaint said. Blundell, who authorities said is also a registered sex offender, was charged Tuesday with repeat drunken driving. Tests showed his blood-alcohol level was more than twice the level considered evidence of intoxication, which in Wisconsin is .08 percent. Blundell was previously convicted of drunken driving in 2001. Rodney Jensen, whose Jensen Vending company in Milwaukee owns the ice cream truck, said he did not know Blundell was a registered sex offender. Blundell has been fired. Do they not do background checks in Wisconsin...?? :banghead

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:11 AM) I hear you... After Ozzie sticking by others who "struggle" until he goes to his grave, it makes me wonder what really happened. Maybe it had something to do with his arm hurting.. Ozz and Kelly barely even know eachother.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:47 AM) I can understand that one... Most still call it 35th and Shields. Legally it is still Shields.

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) yeah, Kelly's an Aggie, so I like him. He and his wife had a kid last year I believe born in College Station. Yep PA. Reese.. and she's a cutie.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) Just a guess but I am sure a reporter asked him about the play in one form or another, and after the screw ups they had that game themselves, maybe he was feeling sorry for him? I don't know, but beginning with the title of the thread, this is all one big assumption, if you know what I mean. I know.. and I agree it's hype.. but it is a bit weird. Paul could have said a million things.. but that he's the "best" he's ever played with..
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:23 AM) Exactly. And because of who it is, everyone assumes the worst. Read the papers everyday and you will see this kind of stuff. Players praise other players everyday. Well.. after what happened with Royce and Frank I have to say it's a bit odd that Paul would speak of Royce at all. There was a time when Royce's head on a platter would have paid a pretty penny...
