  2. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 07:24 AM) I guess its safe to say no matter what Frank will probably finish his career for some other team after this season....Ozzie needs to shut up and keep s*** like this in house. No.. it's not safe to say that at all. It's safer to say that Ozzie and Kenny will be gone rather than Frank.
  3. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 18, 2005 -> 07:18 AM) Four words for Ozzie, which I guess he still can't translate, SHUT THE f*** UP! You took the words right out of my mouth Mike.. Apparently Ozzie wasn't listening when I tore Kenny a new a-hole about this s***. It makes me so sad that Ozzie is so selfish that he needs to make headlines about himself.. my opinion.. HE is the problem and the team doesn't need this distraction and HE should be relieved of his duties.
  4. QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 04:39 PM) What do you mean? I can't believe you said that, all you do is watch baseball, i want a divorce and half your money. LMAO... 2 to 1 those are the exact grounds Jim files on me in 10 years..

  13. http://www.news4jax.com/news/4384251/detail.html Six Arrested, Two More Sought In Rape Of Teen POSTED: 2:55 pm EDT April 15, 2005 ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Five adults and a teenage boy are under arrest and warrants are out for two more men on charges they raped a 14-year-old girl several times over a two-day period last month. On March 29, St. Augustine police were called to the Flagler Hospital emergency room to investigate a sexual battery. The victim said she was assaulted multiple times by eight attackers in a room at La Quinta Inn in late March. Over the next two weeks, police learned the identity of the subjects and arrested six of the eight -- five of which have signed written confessions. Those arrested are: Marcus Leo Anderson, 21; George Anthony Edwards, 52; Cleveland Powell III, 19; Hector Luis Ramos, 33; James Arnett Williams Jr., 19; and a 16-year-old boy not named due to his age. Police have warrants for the arrest of Jose Manuel DeJesus, 24, and Tray Delron Lyons, 18, both of St. Augustine. Investigators believe the two are hiding from police. Police ask anyone with information about the two wanted men to call the St. Augustine Police Department at (904) 825-1074. Channel 4's Dan Leveton is in St. Augustine learning more about the investigation for live reports on the local station beginning at 5 p.m.

  16. http://www.news4jax.com/news/4381553/detail.html Great, Great Grandmother Shoots Robbery Suspect POSTED: 1:32 pm EDT April 14, 2005 UPDATED: 7:38 pm EDT April 14, 2005 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 64-year-old great, great grandmother behind the counter at a Westside convenience store knew what to do when an masked robber came in Thursday afternoon and fired two shots: she grabbed her gun and shot back. Janet Grammar Says 'It Scared The Hell Out Of Me' "It scared the hell out of me. It really did," Janet Grammar said. "He shot twice at the back, past behind my head and he was getting ready to shoot me in my head. I had a gun under the counter, and I pulled it out and shot him in the chest." Grammer told investigators she was pretty sure she hit him twice, and police found a blood trail and a gun in the Apple Gate Food Store. The suspect managed to run from the scene, prompting an intense search that included a helicopter and K-9 units and caused a brief lockdown of Wesconnett Elementary School, just across the street. The search was cancelled when the suspect showed up less than an hour later at the emergency room of Orange Park Medical Center, police said. The suspect, who police have not named, was stabilized and flown by air ambulance to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center. The Apple Gate's owner said the store has been robbed three time in the last two weeks, and he think this suspect is the same man who's robbed him before. "She was just defending herself, that was all," customer Charles Schoff said. "I'd probably do the same thing." Grammar's twin sister, Denise Overstreet, told Channel 4's Dan Leveton she's not surprised her sister wasn't intimidated by an armed, masked man. "She's not scared of her own shadow, let's put it that way," Overstreet said. "Maybe this will wake people up and maybe not come to this little store -- a mean lady works there." There's no word on the condition of the suspect or what charges he'll be facing.

  20. http://www.wkyt.com/Global/story.asp?S=3212196 Teenager Accused Of Killing Girlfriend's Daughter April 15, 2005, 12:55 PM Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version Two Year Old Beaten To Death - Jermont Terry Reports A teenager is accused of beating a two-year-old little girl to death. Police say the 17-year-old is the boyfriend of the child's mother. While the child's mother was at work, he was watching her inside a Covington home. Police say the teenager punched little Emily Johnson over and over again, causing extensive bruising to her face. Teal Nally is with Covington police. "Medical personnel got there and rushed her to Children's Hospital because she was unresponsive. She had major injuries, and because of that, she's deceased." The little girl died Thursday from head trauma. Police originally charged the teen with assault, but those charges will likely be upgraded to murder. John Spence Jr. is a friend of the accused teenager. "I don't believe James did it, because he wasn't a violent person. He's always been very quiet. I don't believe it." John Spence Sr. says, "I find this really hard to believe. He's a well-mannered kid when he came to my house. He's polite to me and my wife and our little daughter." The commonwealth's attorney expects to try the 17-year-old as an adult.
  21. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) Holy crap. What is wrong with these people? If only it was something as simple as being dropped on their heads as a child.. 22. QUOTE(winodj @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) Nothing a few fresh coats of paint couldn't fix. I mean, they hold games at Wrigley and cement is falling off... When we were there last it looked bad. A lot of the concession buildings had severe damage. Like people had been in there wrecking the place. I'd bet there has been a lot of vandalism to it.
  23. Eh.. sorry bout that Jester. That sucks. I'm sure you'll find something quickly though.

(Page 1 of 2) BARNSTABLE, Mass., April 15, 2005 Cape Cod Murder Mystery A reward poster released in 2003 shows Christa Worthington, who was found killed in her Truro, Mass., home on Cape Cod in January, 2002. (Photo: AP) The Cape Cod Times and the Boston Herald, citing unidentified sources, said authorities arrested a man Thursday who lives in a Hyannis rooming house and works as a trash hauler. (CBS/AP) Prosecutors said they were ready to announce a "significant development" in the investigation of the slaying of a fashion writer three years ago, and published reports Friday said a suspect had been arrested. Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe issued a statement saying an announcement would be made Friday afternoon in the death of Christa Worthington, 46, slain at her home in Truro in January 2002. In recent months, authorities had taken DNA samples from dozens of men living in the area, looking for clues. The Cape Cod Times and the Boston Herald, citing unidentified sources, said authorities arrested a man Thursday who lives in a Hyannis rooming house and works as a trash hauler. State police on Friday refused to confirm or deny the reports. O'Keefe and Truro Police Chief John Thomas did not immediately return calls seeking further comment. Worthington, 46, a New York fashion writer who moved to Massachusetts and became a single mother, was found stabbed to death on her kitchen floor. Her 2-year-old daughter was clinging to her body. She had written for Elle and Harper's Bazaar magazines and The New York Times. Her family and friends offered a $25,000 reward for information. Remainder of story at link...
