QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:55 AM) This alleged event happened about a year ago. I smell a rat. But she did immediately report it. Why it's taken so long to come out is an interesting mystery though..

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:52 AM) And BTW Minnie Minoso was born in 1922. Kinda makes it hard for Capone to see him play before his birth... LMAO.. missed that one.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:46 AM) I found this: I thought Capone died in prison. Nope... he was a bit off his rocker, or so they thought.. and let him out to spend the rest of his days at his home in Florida. I didn't read all the article you posted so my apologies if I repeated what it said.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't there something like this on him a few years ago? Or some other personal scandal? I think that was a woman claiming that she was his daughter and trying to extort $$ from him. I don't remember what the outcome was though.

QUOTE(bogie @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:40 AM) He didn't have a son named Minoso that anyone knew about. No one but you.. LMAO. :dips*** smiley

QUOTE(bogie @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) Big Al knew Minnie before his MLB debut. He saw him play in Cuba many times during his many trips to Cuba and meetings with a young Fidel Castro. Big Al dined with the Minosos many times. Listen.. you're full of s***. Just admit it. Capone had one son.. named Al.. nicknamed Sonny who was born in New York before Capone ever stepped foot in Illinois.

Update: His name is Johnny Williams, and he claims to be shot by a latino at a car wash. He has minor wounds from the gun shot and LE is questioning him. Not looking good...

QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) He shows up 800 miles away! What did he do with her? My theory: She had a gun ( Has anyone talked to the family?), she decided to not pull it out right away and waited until there were on the road, shot him and jumped out. But where is she now? In the desert? Was he not wounded too bad and was able to beat her up and leave her in a ditch. If I were them I'd have people driving every possible route between the two points. Apparently it's 1200 miles now. The police are talking to the family but they haven't said anything about what they've told them. I like your theory.. but, in case no one noticed.. she was abducted Wednesday night. If she's in a ditch in the desert.. I can't imagine she's in good shape. Tex, MOS.. have you guys heard anything about this on the news down there the past day & 1/2...?

Police said a woman alleged she complained to Cosby about having stress and tension, and he gave her some pills that made her dizzy. According to a police report, the woman said her memory is poor from that night but she does recall Cosby allegedly touching her breast and placing her hand on his genitals. The alleged victim claimed she awoke about 4 a.m. with her clothing in disarray and bra undone. She allegedly drove herself home. http://www.nbc10.com/news/4113118/detail.html

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,145053,00.html Teen's Abduction Caught on Tape; $10,000 Reward for Info Friday, January 21, 2005 TYLER, Texas — A clerk abducted from a Wal-Mart (search) Supercenter was sought Friday by East Texas law officers who said a surveillance videotape showed a man lurking around the entrance before the victim was attacked as she tried to drive away from the store's parking lot. Megan Leann Holden (search), 19, of Henderson was reported missing Thursday morning when she did not return home from her shift. The FBI (search) has joined the investigation, police said. They said a $10,000 reward was offered for information leading to her location or to her abductor. Tyler police spokesman Don Martin said the tape shows a man wearing a long, dark coat and cap and carrying a duffel bag loitering around the front entrance to the store. "The surveillance tape then shows Megan getting into her truck and the suspect running up behind her and either hitting her or pushing her," he said. "Then the vehicle drives off." Martin, the Police Department's public information officer, said an East Texas Medical Center helicopter crew was searching the area for the 2002 pickup and officers were are also driving around the area. "We are actively pursuing leads and have teams out looking for her and the truck," he said.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) I looked up the dates.... But I did know in the back of my head that Capone was dead before Minnie came around, but I thought it was more like 10 years apart. But I have no idea what his kids were named... Only had one... named Al.
-
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 08:31 AM) Um, just a little history lesson... Al Capone died in 1947. Minnie Minoso made his ML debut in August of 1949. Dates aside, which I didn't know off the top of my head, Capone didn't have a son named Minoso.

QUOTE(bogie @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) Not true. He was Sox fan. He named one of his kids Minoso after Minnie. Bulls***.

QUOTE(winodj @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) I think John Cusack is a baseball fan. He's been at a couple Sox games, in some really s***ty weather. I saw him at the rainy Toronto doubleheader wearing a good guys hat. He's been at Comiskey many times.. but he's a Cub fan 150%.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 05:10 PM) Lol, I had 8 False Alarms. I would just guess. When you think about it, we were pretty pathetic when you mix in the fact that we pretty much said something for most bags, lol. That's the thing.. most of them have nothing wrong with them.

I think I posted this before.. but the woman that was killed breeds and sells Rat Terriers.. we almost bought a puppy from her. for her family. January 20, 2005 KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ A Kansas woman charged with strangling an expectant mother and cutting the infant from her womb pleaded not guilty Thursday, and prosecutors said they are leaning toward seeking the death penalty. Lisa Montgomery, 36, of Melvern, Kan., didn't speak during the brief hearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge John Maughmer, who appointed additional counsel to her public defense team after U.S. Attorney Todd Graves indicated he plans to seek a death sentence. ``That is the direction we are going,'' Graves said. Montgomery faces a federal charge of kidnapping resulting in death for the December slaying of Bobbie Jo Stinnett, a 23-year-old who was eight-months pregnant with her first child. Stinnett's body was found in a pool of blood in her Skidmore home on Dec. 16. The baby, later named Victoria Jo by her father, survived the attack. She was found alive the next day with Montgomery in Kansas. Anita Burns, Montgomery's public defender, declined to speak with reporters after the hearing. http://www.kshb.com/kshb/home/artic...3484443,00.html
