We're going in September for the convention... Staying here.. http://www.ritzcarlton.com/

Yep.. it's true. Then the real beauty was that the SAME person asked the SAME thing an inning later. :headshake A few other things.. There was a Cub fan sitting in front of me who seemed like a "fan"... but in the 8th inning when I said in jest "at least you guys don't have Koch" he rudely turned around and said to me "we don't give a s*** about AL ball or the Sox.. what the hell are you doing here if you're a Sox fan anyway...". The customer we were with seemed to get pissed.. I said "why bother.. let the asshole be miserable" and that was the end of that. Oh.. he left within minutes prompting all those that had heard this to yell "fairweather" at him. Anyway, after the game I was forced to go to that s***hole Cubby Bear. Ironically I ran into a group of Sox fans so the trip wasn't for nothing. My boss was getting s***faced to the point that I called Jim to see if he wouldn't mind coming to get me.. I would have just jumped on the train, but I had no idea how to get where. But finally the dips*** stopped drinking and we got out of there at 8:30.. which ruined my plans of going to the Sox game, but we were there on a customer's dime and I didn't want to be rude and demand to leave. All in all it was a decent day... until we got back to my bosses car which had been pissed on, and vandalized with black marker for what we can only guess is parking too close to the truck in front of us. There was a good 3 feet for him to move.. but in all honesty, I can't say I was surprised - and neither was he. I tried to give the cheap bastard the $20 to park in a lot.. but no. But hey.. it was a paid day off, and the Cubs lost so the day wasn't a total loss.

4, and Jerry had nothing to do with it.

Sox .vs Phills Game 2. MORE POUNDAGE PLEASE!!!

I may be pulling a double today as I am heading out to the Cubs game (boss invite and a half day of work with a full day's pay.. ) and then likely heading to the cell later. Have a fun afternoon guys and let's hope the offense keeps up tonight! -
No way... ya mean you don't have to follow around, or be followed around, like a little puppy dog and be kept out of trouble...
-
He said several times he can't wait to get back to running. He wants to be back out there bad...
-
Nature of the beast I suppose. I don't find it a big deal to flash my ticket. And, btw, we sit in 127 and have never been checked between innings while in our seats..
-
I can't speak for anyone else, but yea.. it's our fault for not getting up there earlier. Heaven for bid they check tickets... :headshake I mean why not just let everyone in so I can get to my seat and have some asshole sitting there and have to deal with that.. :banghead
-
They still do. Only about 50 seats though. In the furthest corner of RF.
-
Who's "cool" with them..? They are a necessary evil at this point. And they aren't the fault of the Sox.. talk to Bud.. he forced the hand. Doesn't mean I, or anyone else, supports them. IMO, of course.
-
I'm a little shocked to see you say such a thing. Apologist...? Me..? For the Sox...?
-
Eye... it's a process. I guess they could be real assholes and say NO BEER at all in the outfield on Tuesday nights...?? Or ALL nights like the Yanks, and Boston, and a few others do in specific sections..?
-
Ya know what.. I'm torn. I sit in the UD once a year and we do it on purpose (that's the only place to get 10 tickets together for the Cubs/Sox game). If I have to wait an extra 10 minutes for someone to check my ticket, or have to walk to the concourse to get a beer.. and that prevents some other asshole from causing trouble... then I just have to deal with it. It's a no win since we have no control. I guess we just pick our battles.

I figured. They were vocal that they needed to do something. And there was a big thread about it on WSI.
-
Yea. Might be there Saturday now if I can talk Jim into ditching the wedding.
-
Ok.. let me re-phrase.. you don't act that young.
-
We waited too. We were in the line when the introductions were done and fireworks went off.. which was followed by a unch of kids chanting "Let's go White Sox". Didn't miss but 1 pitch, and it was nice to see the kids having a good time. Regardless.. it was OUR fault for not getting up there a bit earlier to ensure we made it to our seats in time. It was obvious ALL DAY that the game was going to be crowded, and I don't fault the THREE people checking tickets at the top of the BPB ramp for little delay. There were 33K people there, and they were doing their best. Oh.. IMO.
-
There were articles in all 3 papers last week and over the weekend stating that beer vendors were not going to be in the outfield.
-
You guys could have had our tickets. We went upstairs.

He didn't talk s*** about Koch. He actually said that Koch should NOT apologize for anything, and that he thought Koch was pitching fine.
-
After being in the clubhouse before the game and giving interviews, he was in 33 with Jerry until the top of the 9th and then went down. FWIW, he was walking fine, said he feels good, and thinks he'll be back within a month. jerry was in a good mood last night. Visited with a lot of suites during the game.
