Real Suicide Picture Inside.. The picture, which is not for the weak of mind nor the faint of heart, shows the fate of a suicide jumper, just after his landing. It shows his insides, now on the outside. The reason I do believe this is a real picture is the look of the innocent bystanders and the sheer expression of horror on their faces. QUOTE(Soxy @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) I'm just glad I can still wear my gel filled push-up bra. If we ladies can't wear our push-up bras it means the terrorists have won! LMAO. And no Jim.. I don't want to halt sex on a plane, especially when it's a 8 hour flight ... I just thought it was odd to single out that product.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) Why is it a pathetic thing to boo if our players havent been trying their hardest? You seriously need a swift kick in the ass.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) Whatever Stern says is true? Come on, I do not think that much fraud would be committed in this case. She had alot of machines bostering her voice, she will never sing live, so thats why she was able to make an album. Stern didn't say it, he repeated the rumor when a caller commented on it. As I stated above, the story started on TMZ and Perez Hilton.com
-
QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) WHY ARENT YOU PEOPLE SCARED ABOUT HIS BACK!!!!!? Why are you yelling?

I wouldn't boo them based on last year. After all.. that was last year. I suppose I just don't take it serious enough to exert myself. Life is too short, and baseball is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things. It's an entertaining habit for me. Albeit an expensive one that I'm sure my husband would love if I eased up a bit on… but it's a love and a passion. And it's unconditional. Just me, but I can't be so vile to something I have no control over. Celebrate the good, hope to improve on the bad. The circle of life.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 09:50 AM) They talked about this on Stern yesterday. The rumor is that its the lead singer of Shiny Toy Guns. Whoever that is. Stern was playing Paris' song and music from this band, and it was pretty similar. Where he heard the rumor, I don't know. TMZ and Perez Hilton, iirc.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 09:57 AM) Real nice that he got away with calling everyone else sissies, though. Those who take offense should pick up some band-aids. New shoes sometimes give blisters.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 09:37 AM) Did you see the new Ozzie/Ordonez pissing contest? I haven't seen any posts regarding it, but it's another situation that makes me sick. Now, that's twice in the last two weeks where Ozzie tried to say that two of the greatest players in Sox history weren't great baseball players when they were here. Nope, and have no desire to.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 09:32 AM) Of course it's dumb for KW to finally speak up, just because it was Frank that came back to haunt his team. However, I do like that finally someone has called out our pitchers/catchers/pitching coach/Ozzie on the pitch selection we've seen this year. He's had at least 20 opportunities to do so. STFU about Frank. It makes him look like the petty kitty he is.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 18, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) An article in the tribune coming out tomorrow makes it sound like KW is pissed at Ozzie and Cooper for the way the Sox pitched to Frank Thomas last weekend. Good for you KW....those guys aren't earning their paychecks this year. Yes.. good KW. Keep on b****ing and moaning about something that means nothing once the last out is recorded... Yawn... Work on fixing things at home and shut your effing mouth about Frank until it's to give him your congrats when he picks up the come back player of the year award.

They've got nothing on this board. Most of you have been digging the graves since July. -
QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) I'm pulling for Frank as well, but this is a non story. WE WON THE WORLD SERIES WITHOUT HIM!!! We won it without him.. but without him we may not have gotten there.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) Ozzie threw a fit because there wasn't any beer allowed in the clubhouse after the game. Ozzie is soooo awesome. :puke, :rolleyes, and :dips***

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:59 PM) Am I the only one that noticed Konerko's bat was still on his shoulder when that final pitch crossed over the heart of the plate? Nope. You gotta play to win...

QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) You love Frank, I get it. I don't and have listed several reasons why. I appreciate what he did on the field but the Sox are better off with Thome. I did not state anything incorrectly. All of those things I mentioned happened. You excuse them. One or two... yeah but over his entire career here he was about what was good for Frank over the team. And what link would I give you that you would not blame some type of media bias? This has been repeatedly denied by his teammates over and over and over, over the years. I don't "love" Frank. I respect his ability. And that ability is well documented to be highly respected by his peers. That in itself disputes your OPINION on his behavior in the clubhouse. What does who the Sox are better with now have anything to do with you slandering him? Yes, they happened - someone say they didn't? Your logic behind why that happened is incorrect... from the mouths of his very own teammates, the injury, etc, etc... I didn't excuse anything. Did Paul Konerko apologize? Did a doctor tell Frank to "take it easy and not run" in spring training? Did Frank end up having a major injury that hurt his play at 1B? Yes, yes, and yes. There is no media bias. Frank hates the media and they returned the favor in kind.
-
QUOTE(My Dixie Normus @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) Shallow imagination? I think you suffer from idol worship induced memory loss. In spring training 2000, a public shouting match between Thomas and manager Jerry Manuel. He repeatedly bashed the club in the press for thier failure to retain Ventura and Belle. Clashed with both teammates and management for his unwillingness to play through an ankle injury. Refused to play first base wanting to DH so he could "concentrate on hitting". (ME FIRST!!!) Thomas/Williams/Reinsdorf Thomas, while a great player, was never a team guy. It boils down to this. If Frank Thomas plays with the 2006 CWS, Konerko is an Angel. I will take Paulie over the childish, selfish antics and no-show in the post season (.231 career post season BA), Frank Thomas every day of the week. I am done with this pissing match. No links I see. But for s***s and giggles... 1. Yep, Frank and his manager got into a pissing match. A manager the entire team hated... and a manager that wore egg on his face when Frank's injury came to light. 2. Questioning managements decision to break up a team that had the ability to be a postseason powerhouse... clearly cancerous behavior. :rolleyes 3. An injury that ended up being valid and nearly ended his career... 4. Wanted to be a DH because he knew, and told the team, that his injury was a hinderance to him playing 1st to the best of his ability... 5. Frank and Jerry are closer than most fathers and sons - Williams hated that relationship because Jerry always put Frank ahead of Kenny Thomas was ALWAYS a team and fan guy. NEVER a management or leader guy. Big difference. Frank Thomas isn't with the 2006 Sox, so what exactly was your point of, incorrectly by the facts, calling him out? You're wise to be done. That puddle is just about at your ears.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 01:30 PM) OK, I guess I was a little broad with the use of "everyone" but you (you as in most rational people) know what I meant. The story does matter. He was calling this guy out as an adult autograph hound when all he wanted to do was make his handicapped nephew's day. I do know from staying at team hotels on the road that most folks are autograph hounds so he wasn't far off. It's not worth making an issue though. I do think that doing it at the park is best though. They are very accomidating with handicap folks, and it dimishes the risk of having to fight for an autograph in an uncontrolled situation such as at the hotel. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 01:54 PM) I don't know which hotel it is exactly. I BELIEVE, but am not totally certain, that most MLB teams stay in Westin hotels where they are available. For the Giants visitors, last year it was the Westin Tabor Center. I have no idea if that applies for the A's or not. Again, I can't say this with certainty. But if you hear a rumor from someone else that its a Westin, or W or something like that, I can say thats also what I have heard. ^^ correct from my experiences.

QUOTE(Sox1422 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) Everyone is always so quick to rip on people when they don't even know the story. Everyone, eh...? And the story doesn't matter. Opinions don't need justification. QUOTE(WhiteSox3333 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 09:19 AM) Actually, I want to take my disabled nephew who is 8 years old to get a few autographs. I live in San Francisco, and at the ballpark, it's hard getting him down near the dugouts in his wheelchair, so the hotel is the easiest option. He loves the White Sox, and in the past, they've been great with signing autographs for him at their hotel. Call the stadium. They can make accomidations for you if scheduling permits.

QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:20 AM) I want to...are tickets on sale? Ok, I just called Riddles Comedy Club...and they will start taking reservations in 2 weeks...and if you get to the show a half hour beforehand, you will be guaranteed seats. So tickets are not sold ahead of time. Here is their website...and I saw one of Bob's shows on Howard TV, and it was a riot. I thought he would be bad, but he was great. His show is mostly interaction with the audience. Riddles You can't just show up. You must have a reservation. I've been to Riddles more times than I care to remember. I've seen Bob and Nick several times in Vernon Hills and downtown. There is an after party Saturday night with the freaks. Friday I believe Scores in the plan. I'll keep you posted.
