  1. QUOTE(Felix @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) What's the point in saying this? Something good just happened for the Sox, be happy about it.. Oh, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to comment on the fact that PK isn't fast enough to make it home from second base when there is a base hit. Sorry.
  2. It'll still take 2 hits to get PK in. Not to be pessimistic.
  3. QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 20, 2006 -> 03:22 PM) You won't be optimistic after we lose again today. We won't take 2 of 3 from the Tigers. We're done ... unfortunately. Oh no, I'm certain that this team could win tonight just to make this season more difficult.
  4. It would be really nice if the Sox could hit Verlander like they have this year for the rest of his career.

    Buehrle

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 07:27 PM) Yeah, worst case scenario would be he signs with some American League Central team and dominates us. Frank and Maggs have basically taken us out of the playoffs the last 4 games. Pushaw, how would a left handed junk pitcher ever stop this lineup? Seriously though, for the price, the option has to be picked up. Zito is a very slim possibilty and there aren't many other lefty options.

    Milwaukee Question

QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 08:54 AM) If you don't have an ID, you may want to see if they have a BW3 around there. I believe that's all ages and they have a ton of TVs, so I bet they show most of the games There is a BW3's on Water Street, that usually shows the Bear games, though the Packer game will be on the big screen if they are at the same time. Also, at Marquette, you might be abl to go to the Annex to watch the games. I don't remember if they have Sunday ticket, but I remember a lot of people going there to watch. I graduated from Marquette a year and a half ago. Lots of good times.

    Freddy Garcia

In my opinion, the chance that he can regain his fastball is a possible selling point that could help his value. If KW can get another team to believe that this is a result of the WBC (which it may be) then he might be able to pull a good move. The Sox aren't going to trade MB unless they can definitely get a lefty starter to replace him, and I don't see that happening. Contreras won't be traded because he's old and he has yet to pitch like an ace for a whole season. That leaves Freddy or Javy to be traded. The likelihood that Freddy can regain his fastball is better than Javy becoming tougher.
  8. Radke said he was hoping to make two starts by the end of the season, but wasn't sure if that would happen.
  9. Hawk's job is to bring viewers in. If I just got home and nobody mentioned that there was a perfect game going on I might pass by the blow out game.
  10. Before the game ends, I figure I should thank the Angels broadcasters for making it fun to watch with Freddie today. Some guys might be homers and be pissed about it, but they were excited.
  11. I guess this is what the pitchers have to do to keep the bullpen off the field.
  12. QUOTE(sin city sox fan @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 06:00 PM) Was it a solid base hit at least? (I can't see the game) I hate it when no hitters are broke up with broken bat singles, etc. It was solid. Nothing anyone could do about it.
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:21 PM) They should ibb Pods. You win.
  14. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 11:06 PM) wonder what was said in the first base dugout when that four-spot for the Twinkies went up. Start sewing the white flag?
  15. 23? It's so weird, if there's a man on second he get an automatic hit. If there's a man on first its an automatic DP.
  16. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 10:44 PM) i feel sick... i can't believe oakland and texas both wet themselves tonight... Can't expect other teams to win this for the Sox.
  17. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Sep 12, 2006 -> 09:45 PM) I hear Mags is developing a Frank Thomas-esqe relationship with the media up there in detroit... He's always been quiet, but now he isn't hitting much either.
  18. A's leave the bases loaded. Chavez strikes out on a ball that almost hits his knee.
  19. si article I didn't see this anywhere else. Number 8 is pretty impressive after all the crap the stadium got. Wrigley takes a hit.
