  2. ok, we need to get into the 5th as qqucik as possible...weve been screwed enough by rainouts in this ye olde s*** park
  3. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 02:30 PM) Wakefield's stuff is getting better. We need to be more patient with him right now.... he's all over the place, cant let him settle in
  4. Pretty. Its soooooo prettttty. And whats even more hilarious, all the local sports shops in the Wrigley area took down all the Lee and Prior jerseys and replaced the windows with Sox AL Champs gear and player t-shirts. The good ole reliable, If you cant em, em. Silly Cubbie fans, our bandwagon has no need for billygoats.
  5. any word on when espn will come out with the game time for Wed? You'd think mlb would have this more organized.....but at least its not on Fox Family Channel this year.
  6. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) Exactly what I was looking for, amazing job. I know it's coming, so go ahead and flame away guys... love your sig.....pimp as s*** No shame in loving the greatest live show in music. Afterall, they do have Carter Beauford.
  7. can't help with any pics, but AC/DC's Thunderstruck is a must for the soundtrack.
  8. We need to put the dirty cubans picture inside a hallmark thank you card and send it to the Bronx. Loaiza continues to pay dividens.
  9. thanks for posting that, Ive been looking for this for awhile.
  10. Start counting the outs...... Johnnie Drama says: VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor Maggs.
  11. Sports Illustrated is making the Tribe its cover story for the upcoming issue. But as with most things beyond the field, the Indians were ho-hum about the national attention. "Yeah, it's cool," said Aaron Boone. His sentiments were the consensus in the clubhouse. The team seemed more enthralled with Travis Hafner's segment on Spike TV. Coco Crisp orchestrated the segment as a prank on "Pronk." Hits newstands tomorrow. Guess the only thing thats left is to get a damn hit, I guess a win wouldnt hurt either.
  12. QUOTE(MEANS @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) while i agree that winning the division may eliminate this "choking" burden, they better win the first game of the the first round or else the pressure is right back on them. lets get to the first round first..... but I hear ya, especially if they still own Home Field.....
  13. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) Umm...I'm pretty sure Rex is going to be gone. Too much of a bad influence with all the pot smoking around the clubhouse?? KRod will surely miss him.
  14. sorry for topping a thread a few days old, forgive me, I'm a newbie....then again, I am a believer in good karma and this thread was certainly a welcome on Tueday night. First off, thanks for the welcoming.....times like these, us dying breed of Sox fans gotta stick together in the hopes of Rally Crede providing light at the end of the tunnel. Now, onto why I posted in this thread... a few things Ive noticed about attending the past 2 games. Tuesday night's crowd was electric from the first pitch to Joe's bomb.... the energy was there like a playoff game and even though the Cell was 12,000+ short from selling-out the place was rocking all night long.... down 4, tied, or Rowand error....didnt matter, the FAITH from the diehards was alive and kicking all night long. Last night was a complete 180 in terms of the fan support. Now I know people on this board are not the problem, but its really frustrating to have nearly a full park without any enthusiasm whatsoever. The Cell last night was like a Monday Night Half-Priced night in the middle of July....we get down 1 run and there was people who didnt care that the game actually mattered, there was people there who couldnt give a rat's ass what a magic number is. Hell, I think the biggest cheer was for the Chevrolet Pride Ho's. Granted, not all of us can be a diehard fan and support the team as much as others... and that's fine, but when you go this weekend against the Twinkies, and you SHOULD,..... ROOT YOUR AZZ OFF LIKE NEVER BEFORE. Down 4, 5, 6 I dont care... this team felt the on Tuesday and all be damned if there is another library crowd like last night over this crucial weekend.
  15. I might be new around these parts, but I'll definitely co-sign this post. to enjoying the rest of this storied season. I'd be lying if I didnt say that I came here before looking for optimism....... Its impossible for everyone to agree, but giving an outlet to voice an opinion and provide a sense of reality is always a good thing. Lets be honest, if panicing about wheter the Sox will take the division or not is our biggest problem, your not gonna hear a complaint out of me. Paranoia leads a fan towards Addison and Sheffield, tis a good thing we roll harder than that.
  16. hey y'all first post.... though I'll admit that Ive been lingering around quite a bit around here over the past few months. Great board, by the way......and on that note, I agree with this post 100% Ive been a split-season ticket holder for the past 4 years and this season has been nothing short of a dream, it is now up to us, the diehards that really care about this team to ensure that this dream does not turn into a nightmere. Despite our poor record with big crowds at home, our boys very much need us right now. Lets go back to the sold-out crowd on Memorial Day when we had no chance in scratching against the Angels... yet Timo found a way to hang. It took a total collapse and a surging Cleveland team for our Sox to get any press, and now that they have it, we hear nothing but negatives.....one confidence swing for our guys right now could mean everything to winning this division, that could have came last night.....but it didnt. I believed in this team when they were 0-0 and I certainly believe in them now. People need to show up in droves tonight to support this team with bells on. We are in the pilot's seat..... the rest of the season begins tonight.
