  1. No need to pay for shipping, they have these dvd's virtually everywhere in Chicago. Walgreens, Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy....if the store sells dvds, they likely have it. I think Wal-Mart had either dvd for 13.99
  2. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 01:45 PM) I'd still take Lee. can't deny on how much of a team guy he was....
  3. Is this the one that dances to christmas music and police had to shut down in Ohio?? I cant see it at work, its blocked
  4. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) Try Champs. I saw the newer ones with the WS patch and "Champions" in gold underneath there. I'm fairly sure it was there as I was at a mall and checked out most of the sports shoes stores (Finish Line, champs, foot locker). thanks.... mind telling me what mall that was at??? I called the Cell giftshop, they have them.....at $85 apiece. PASS. LOl
  5. QUOTE(SoxPride56 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) Ever since I have started working at the age of 15, I have put $25 a week away into a seperate bank account for just this, the year the sox finally win it all. Ever since the beginning of the year, we all knew this team was special so I started taking money out of that account. The cool thing about saving that money is I didnt have to take 1 penny from the money I made over the summer I wish I gotta admit, that is one of the most loyal stories I have heard from a fan directed towards one team. Setting up a savings account for when the Sox win it all is absolutely priceless. Only one question, what happens when we repeat??
  6. thanks..... yeah, I would have thought that Sports Authority would have carried these, because they do carry the regular fleece without the patch, but no dice. I've been checking there since the day after they won in hopes that eventually they would come in. It's unfortunate that I didnt do the same for Grandstand. It kinda sucks because that Wrigleyville Sports store has had them for about a month, and I'm thinking to myself, they'll never sell-out of the gear around here. I go in on Saturday and they have 1 medium left and the guy tells me that theyve been low in stock for weeks. :banghead
  7. Ok, I'll be the first to admit... I really slacked on getting these. The Wrigleyville Sports store right next to HiTops had like 50 of them, theyre all gone. Grandstand didnt carry them at first, they did eventualyl get some in.... gone. No problem, so I go to mlb.com yesterday, they still have them, but they took away express shipping and cannot guarentee shipment until Jan 20 Has anyone seen these in any stores at all?? I'm looking for the microfleece that the players wore on the field with the WS logo patch on the sleeve. Any help is appreciated... even if you have a link from another on-line sotre that can ship better than those clowns at mlb shop. thanks
  8. QUOTE(Kenkait Sox Fan @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) If the Cubs non-tender Patterson, he would be an inexpensive 4th OF Dont kid like that, its much to early for April Fools.
  9. You guys think MJ will speak??? I heard somewhere, ESPN 1000 probably, that this was gonna be the biggest reunion of players from the championship run. I heard Rodman, Kerr, Wennington and Pax (obviously).... anybody else coming out?? Will Dennis Hopson be in the house?? Thanks Pipp
  10. QUOTE(Felix @ Dec 9, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) The Tigers? What have they done? Overpaid two aging pitchers? Anything else? got rid of Tramell. Great guy, crap manager. Seriosly though, if they are healthy, I see them winning some games. Their pitching staff couldnt get any worse right??
  11. What can we actually expect to get out of a Borchard trade today?? I'd say the cupboard is pretty thin with that market. The Sox had multiple opportunites to dump him, even after we learned that he was a bust, but kept holding onto hope because of that ridicolous 5 million signing bonus. I'm sure there are a number of teams willing to take a chance on him, and I suppose our only option is to trade him for anything because he will not succeed here.... he does not have the mindset and mentality to play for an Ozzie team. If Borchard truly was the real deal, he would have arrived by now. Can't say that he hasn't had his chances....
  12. Call me crazy, but I'm thinking that the Tigers are gonna be the one to watch this year. The Twinkies, sorry window is closed. Cleveland will still be good sure, but lets be honest no way Wickman has that kind of year again, and thats with all their 1 run losses. My bet is on Detroit making a run at us this year. They are young(for the most part), talented and have a lot to prove. Of course, that run is gonna fall short when Rogers gives up a walk-off to Rally Crede on 9/20/06. word is bomb. "JOOOOOOOEEE CREEEEDE"
  13. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Dec 7, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) They had Thunderstruck on there...seems weird that they didn't get the Pirates of the Caribbean song...does that have to do with it being in a movie? It is Disney.....
  14. The question is, where to find this damn thing today. I would have went to the damn premiere if I would have known that these dvds were gonna be difficult to hunt down. If anyone finds a store that has them, please post in here
  15. QUOTE(knightni @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 03:30 PM) http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...view=getnewpost He hasn't been on the Sox for awhile. word has it though, the Sox still plan out on giving out Loiaza bobbleheads during a promotion next year
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 28, 2005 -> 11:18 AM) Very cool. Bought the WS DVD yesturday at Fye, and on the inside cover there is a picture of a huge set of DVD's coming out in March. looks interesting.... kinda sucks it will only be the World Series games though and not the entire playoffs like we had hoped. thank you tivo
  17. Even after several years of the Sox giving Row the shaft by making him into a platooned bench player, the guy stood tall and played every game as a team guy and never gave less than 110%. His dedication and love for baseball was evident in every game that he suited up in a Sox uniform. It kills me to know that our outfield won't be quite as good defensiveley next year, because I wouldnt want any other player roaming CF other than Row. His attitude and chemistry will be sorely missed on the South Side, as he is the type of player that defined our team philosophy. We are fortunate to get just as good of a guy in return, Philadelphia has no idea how lucky they are. I am certain Rowand's best offensive years are ahead of him.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) Ahh, so Microsoft is creating an artificial demand? How cool of them. Not really, moreso that stupid Mountain Dew promotion where they gave one away every 10 minutes. The demand is actually very high on these, microsoft just couldnt produce enuogh to supply the launch demand, they certainly are not gonna keep it from people that they are hard to obtain and the gift of the season. My buddy pre-ordered in June and didnt get one.

Well, I was fortunate enough to get one last night, and I gotta say, I am very impressed with what this system can do. Where the gameplay on Madden, NBA, ect are mind boggling, the graphics are nothing short of revolutionary. Imagine hearing Peyton Manning's actual voice as he calls an audible, veins popping out of hands and neck as you get ready to throw another TD to Harrison. Hell they even have the "Moose's Dribble" for his TD celebration. Trust me, even for PC gamers, this system is unlike anything you have ever seen or played. Didnt get too in-depth last night, played until about 4am, though after seeing the prices on ebay today, I'm really kicking myself for opening that damn box..... muy estupido, but hey, life is short. This system is apples/oranges, night and day compared to the original xbox, Ive been playing games since Intellivision and I can honestly say that this the biggest jump in what a console can provide in terms of "full package." Believe the hype, this system is unreal.
  20. QUOTE(traydragen @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) Soo, I dunno if you guys know this but would this DVD be at my local Best Buy? I live in South Carolina by the way. I don't know if it will be as readily available there as it will be in Chicago, but you should be able to find it in most sports dvd sections. I'd check Suncoast in malls, or a Tower Records hell, I wouldnt be shocked if Best Buy had it there too, you just wont see any huge display
  21. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 20, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Freddy Garcia cancelled. I'm not real happy I thought it was cool for the show to let you exchange Garcia's ticket for a Crede ticket though. Did you take advatange of that deal?? Can't beat Rally Crede for half price. Got in line for the show at about 8:35am (I dont know how I woke up), I got tickets for both Pods and Jenks, and they had less than 5 remaining for each when I got up to the booth in line. Word had it they had about 150 tickets for each player on Sunday morning, the auto tickets were all gone by 30 minutes into the show opening. Very cool to meet both of them, they seemed very excited and appreciative in getting to meet the fans after this historic season. Tons of very very expensive and discounted Sox champs gear at the show. It is def a Sox market in the sports collecting workd right now. One guy had 2 champaign bottles that were used in the WS celebration, signed by Ozzie. $1500 More signings coming in the near future.... and the prices don't get any better. Makes me wonder if they will do a "lottery" type thing like the CUbs do for Soxfest this year. Times, they have a changed. Dye will be at Field of Dreams in Woodfield in Schaumburg soon...... $109 and up..... Cotts, Politte, Widger, AJ and Blum will be signing at Steiner Sports soon.... LOl Prices ranging from $39 (cotts/widger) to $59 (AJ)
  22. Rally Crede's nomination soon to follow no doubt..... good ole veterans comittee comes through in the clutch.
  23. http://www.sportsnewsshows.com/pages/1/index.htm click on "Sun-Times shows" in the left margin for autograph prices. Pods $39.00 any item Garcia $39.00 any item ($10.00 inscriptions) Jenks $25.00 any item
  24. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) More like early/mid January. or the day after Paulie is re-signed. I sure hope the Cubans attend this year.
