Anbody else going to this??Despite the hefty prices, I am really tempted, even though the timing sucks with being right in middle of the Bears game. I wonder if you can get more than 1 Sox player in, all 3 of them are signing at the same time. A Pods signed Sports Illustrated would sure be nice, as well as a nice 14x16 of Jenks jumping after the victory. Hmmmmm, I need to stop brainstorming.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) I have a Hewlett Packard Media Center PC... with the Media Center, you can record live television, and then use video editting software to get rid of the commercials. obviously, you then simply burn to DVD with your burner, adding neat little menu's and all that jazz. well, well, well worth the price tag. the sox s*** i have on DVD alone will last a lifetime... and now all of these games will be burned as well. thank you comcast, you are comcastic! that's what I'd like to knwo more about.... as far as making menus and chapter features. I am so clueless when it comes to stuff like that..... I plan on making some great coverart and stomps though

I'd request for a sticker to send it back, drench it in luke warm Old Style, maybe throw in a few fruit flies for good measure and let Brown take care of the rest.....

I'd have to agree with most that has been said in here so far, but I look at this is another way too. The Sox have had plenty of offers and situations where Row could have been dealt in the past, despite being a bench player on this team for years....faith was never lost, and the Sox refused to let him go in a deal. I am one to believe that 2004 was NOT a career year from Aaron and he will put numbers up like that again. I don't see the logic in shopping him around when his value is much lower than it ever has been. Ive said it once and I'll say it again, there is nobody else I would want roaming CF in the American League other than Row (including that azz clown Hunter). He may not be a cluctch hitter, but he is the kind of grinder player that defines this team, just because we won, the philosphy should not be changed to prepare for the future. Anderson deserves to play and will, imo not at the expense of Row. It was mere months ago when the Sox were working to get Griffey and many people refused to let him start over Rowand....and rightfully so, very few baseball fans know what Rowand brings to the table defensively besides Sox fans.

you can get a Tivo dvd recorder for 199.99 with rebate right now. I believe they offer this same deal at Best Buy. I was kinded bumnmed that I missed out on the opportunity to burn all the games, COmcast comes through in the clutch!!! This is about the best thing they have accomplished since going live. I can't say that Sportsvision or Fox Sports Net would have gone through this trouble in the past, I cant imagine what went into all the liscensing for these. http://www.tivo.com/2.1.2.asp

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) And guess who they lost it to? MVP 06 will have the ESPN presentation. they didnt lose it, they dropped it. The presentation is still the same, just no Baseball Tonight theme music, big deal. There is a reason why real College Baseball is on ESPNU, if its on at all. Nobody is interested, nobody watches it, I agree there will be an interest factor because it the first game of its kind and its coming from a company with a big reputation, but lets be serious, NCAA baseball liscensing will not outsell an MLB licensed product, I dont care what the product is. As far as groundbreaking new gameplay, that will surpass previous MVP installments, I'll believe that when I see it. EA said the same thing with Madden and its qb vision this year, the worst reviewed football videogame in over 5 years.

what a severe disappointment, I can't see these things lasting through one cycle in a dishwasher. What happened to the days were McDonald's at least used the thick plastic so one could keep these so called "limited edition" cups, or even better charge a couple bucks for an actual glass..... That would make too much sense though. It's cool that they have them, if you dont know what I'm talking about... all Chicagoland McDonald's have a special ed Sox World Champions Cup when you order a large drink. They advertise it all the time on the radio here like its a huge deal, I wish it was. Thanks Grimmace.

It might be a tough transition year for the Bulls, especially with struggling to find an insdie offensive presence..... Chandler has no skill at that end of the floor whatsoever, maybe Sweets can emerge.....anyways, what I'm trying to get at, we are looking at 2 first round picks next year, 1 of them WILL be a lottery pcik form the Knicks. Thanks Isiah.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) Aside of 2k fanboys, the MVP engine is the best sports engine there is. MVP 06 will outsell MVP 2005. You honestly think an NCAA baseball game will outsell an MLB liscensed game?? It will NEVER happen. I never said I didnt like the MVP series, I think its a great game. When it comes to next year and what game I will buy, it will be a no-brainer because only 1 will have the World Champion White Sox and the rest of the MLBPA in the game. My main gripe with EA is Madden. Its kinda like the way the Cubs used to operate, they know everyone will buy into the product, so why improve it?? It used to be nice to have options on which game each individual liked the best....those days are gone.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 10:01 AM) Im guessing it will be on both systems. Im sticking with the Xbox for now I think. Go try the demos they have for 360 at Best Buy, I almost wet my pants trying out King Kong. Its gonna be an AMAZING system. As for this MVP NCAA Baseball, this is gonna horribly fail. The majority of baseball fans out there couldnt name 5 college baseball players, let alone know what the best team in nation is. 2k sports will own baseball for here on out becuase it has the MLB license, much like Madden did for football this year. Hell, 2k sports already came out with a World Series Edition for this year's game... which I suggest picking up, updated rosters (though no Bobby Jenks) and realistic pennant chases from this year. EA Sports is the biggest joke in the gaming industry.... same game year after year, different player on the cover. This year's Madden is one of the worst football video games Ive ever played.

QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) They are going to make more bats.. (gut feeling). They better not... these are supposed to be an offically licensed limited collectible item . The AL Champs out of 5,000 and the World Series Champs bat out of 10,000. It still shows that AL Champs bats are available..... Edit: just checked the website again and has this disclaimer at the bottom, I'd say its safe to say there are no more bats that wil be produced, at least that model. This beautiful laser engraved bat is limited to 10,000 bats and each bat is individually numbered within the edition. This bat is Officially Licensed by Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball Properties. Accept no substitutes. Mintage: 10000 -

Thanks. Ohh sure, you'll be able to find Sox Championship gear at most stores outside of Blockbuster Video and Starbucks. Actually, most of the stores have a better replinished stock than they did right after they won -

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Nov 4, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) This rumor is false. I would imagine season ticketholders will get a replica ring or a mini world series trophy or something of the sort. I received them with the Bulls championships. that may have been true for one of the seasons, but I know for a fact that I got a Bulls replica championship ring at a game for a giveaway. Ive never been a Bulls season ticketholder, and I wouldnt be surprised at all if Reinsdorf did the same thing for the Sox.....doubtful against the Cubs though. I don't see why people think this is some HUGE stretch, I dont know many teams that dont giveaway replica championship rings.
