  1. ssia.... I use Sprint and have a Sanyo MM7400 for a phone, does anyone have a good trustworthy site(s) for ringtones?? Obviously there are a ton out there by searching google, but most of these are also very sketchy, so I just wanted to get opinions on what anybody here uses or trusts. I'm specifically looking for the CTU ringtone from 24, and the clock sound from 24. Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
  2. I thought Brown did a good job with the interview, allowing Ozzie to run and shoot with his unplugged stage. Not that we didnt already know this, but Ozzie is clearly a guy that gets it, and as crazy and outspoken he may be at times, one couldnt help but to get the great feeling that he is OUR coach. I also thought it was great that they incuded clips of the Q&A's and auto sessions from Soxfest.
  3. last year I was South Side Ozzfest this year... Crede's Crunk Juice
  4. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 09:58 AM) I was at that game, and had no idea how sick that pitch was till I got home. same, that one pitch really put Jon on the map. He was off and running after that victory and so was the team. We only won 2 out of 4 against the orange birds that weekend in what was hyped to be an early season playoff hopeful matchup, but anyone that watched any of those games could see the Sox were building upon a special season.
  5. For the xbox 360: The xbox 360 version wont ship simultaneously with the current-gen versions, but 2k sports believes that it will be trailing only a few weeks behind, placing it in late March or early April. Like 2k sports first gen basketball foray, the majority if the additions to this version are of the graphical sort. The entire crowd ( which can stretch up to 60,000 people) will be fully modeled. If a foul ball is hit to a specific section, the fans will leap to their feat and jockey for position as they try to get their hands on the souvenir. Fans will also have the ability to get up and head for the bathroom. Vendors will make their rounds up and down the stairs, and you'll even see security guards on patrol. All of the stadiums in the game have been completely rebuilt for this version. Youll also see volumetric grass in the outfield and the most realistic dirt around. Much like the incredible cloth technology features in NBA 2k6, the uniforms in this game will wrinkle and flow as the players move. New gameplay features are also being introduced, such as context-based moves like leaning over a railing to snag a fly ball. And yes, 2k is throwing around the idea of inlcuding a fan at wrigley that looks an aweful lot like Steve Bartman..
  6. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) No doubt he totally screwed up last years team... considering Doherty brought in all those players... they all seemed to want to stick around though
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 11:07 AM) I have a AJ, Rowand, and Maggs jersey all from Grandstand. I decided to buy a Jenks jersey during the postseason from Triple Threat Sports just to give them a try. I was happy with my purchase and will wear it often this season, HOWEVER, you really can feel a difference in touching the fabrics. The one from TTS is alot thinner than those at Grandstand. hmm, no kidding?? I thought all Majestic Authentic jersey's are made of the same material?? Are they all different variations??
  8. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 7, 2006 -> 01:22 AM) Well its time to turn my St. Mary's hat off, and put on my UNC hat, only two times a year I can say that. Ehh, I hate Duke too, but at least they have an honest coach. UNC still has plenty of time to screw up this overachiving season. Roy will find a way.
  9. QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 06:46 PM) I'd go with Triple Threat Sports. much better and cheaper than grandstand imo
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 01:16 PM) And the AP: AP Top 25 1 Connecticut 2 Duke 3 Memphis 4 Villanova 5 Gonzaga 6 Texas 7 Florida 8 George Washington 9 West Virginia 10 Illinois 11 Tennessee 12 Michigan State 13 UCLA 14 Pittsburgh 15 Georgetown 16 North Carolina State 17 Boston College 18 Iowa 19 Ohio State 20 Oklahoma 21 Washington 22 Michigan 23 North Carolina 24 Indiana 25 Northern Iowa Others Receiving Votes: LSU 116, Kansas 88, Bucknell 81, UAB 52, Creighton 40, Wichita St. 30, Seton Hall 26, Colorado 24, Maryland 17, Nevada 16, Marquette 15, California 14, Wisconsin 14, San Diego St. 8, George Mason 7, S. Illinois 6, Kent St. 4, Louisville 4, Miami 3, Hofstra 2, Stanford 2, Wis.-Milwaukee 2, Florida St. 1, Utah St. 1. Northern Iowa?? Sure theyve had a great season, as has the rest of their league with SIU and Witchita St, but they lost. Not deserving. Iowa and Georgetown are underrated in both polls.
  11. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 01:11 PM) The passing cone is awesome. I used to think it sucked, but it is realistic as heck. A QB doesn't make a pass to a WR who isn't in his line of vision. It's a wonderful idea and I loved it. Agreed on the 2nd part of your post as well. So its realistic for the defense to know what reciever will be gettting the ball on every play before the ball is thrown?? EA improved this feature alot when 360 version came out, as they got rid of the flashlight cone that pretty much gives away which reciever you are throwing to. If next years Madden learns from the 360 version, it should be a much much better feature.
  12. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) I just love the fact that the people against Madden cry and cry about them buying the rights to the NFL, and them being the only football game on the market, when 2k sports did the SAME THING with baseball. The only difference is that 2k took away a great baseball game. The only reason people complain about Madden buying the rights (EA fans included) was that it prompted this competitive naming rights war for sports games. You'd still have your precious MVP baseball if EA and Madden didnt buy the NFL rights, meanwhile MVP wasn't important enough for EA to keep. Again, because EA chose to do this, sales dropped 31% for them last year, a comapny clearly on the decline. They knew fully well before completeing the NFL exclusive deal that they would lose the MLB rights. We are all losers becuase there are less options. Thanks EA
  13. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 6, 2006 -> 11:53 AM) But that doesnt change that MVP is sooo much better than the rest in baseball games.... I played 2-3 other ones b4 i ever started on MVP and it wasnt close. did you even read my post?? I clearly stated that MVP was the better game last year. All the info that I posted can be obtained from any review on any game site. MLB 2k5 World Series Edition was already 5x better than the original installment, this years version will build upon that and promises to be a much better overall game and in someways, going back to the basics that made World Series Baseball such a great game in its hey day. EA and MVP will always have its diehard fans that will stick to "their" game no matter what, that won't change the fact that the MLB license is gone for good. Appearantly EA didnt think they had that great of a game on their hands, anything to preserve the precious Madden. Speaking for the debate on Madden, they did change their engine this year with the stupid flashlight passing system, and it was also reviewed as the worst Madden to come out since 2002.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 5, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) :rolly You didn't hit a shot at the horn that appeared to win the game. And Julian Wright is still having a s*** year, but he's going to develop into a solid ballplayer. s*** year?? LOl you obviously know very little about college hoops. ROCK CHALK. Coincidence that Self's full court traps and pressure won that game for them?? Probably not, he could'nt be that smart of a coach . They only get better from here folks.
  15. The 2K6 edition of includes innovative features such as a new movement system and realistic player collisions on the infield and outfield to take the virtual baseball experience to the next level. New broadcast elements include flashback replays, and a unique player morale system will unfold the drama like never before in a baseball video game. New York Yankees All-Star shortstop Derek Jeter is featured as the cover athlete and official spokesperson for the exclusive and official Major League Baseball multi-platform videogame. Also, the 2k series has beat MVP every single year for ratings on graphics. Now I can fully agree that MVP was the best overall baseball game last year, but times have changed. MLB 2k6 is gonna be the real deal, improvements were already made in the World Series edition last year. The player collisions and animations at the plate and in the field look amazing, and the gameplay looks to have drastically improved with more options and modes as well. The EA fanboys that choose to ignore will be at their own loss. You can always play EA's Arena Football There's a reason why EA's profits have dropped 31% last year, people that usually buy their new games every year are finally realizing that these "great" games never improve
  16. 2k6 will also feature the World Baseball Classic. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/685/685163p1.html
  17. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:32 PM) Gut is actually a pretty decent comparison for the Weber worries. Gut could coach very well, he just couldn't recruit. He's the reason the program went through the 8-20 debacle and the slide from the elite for a few years. He left the program with guys like Capel, Lang, Bersticker, Boone, Morrison etc. Which makes Matt Doherty the best coach UNC has had in the last decade.
  18. QUOTE(Allsox @ Feb 3, 2006 -> 01:21 PM) Otherwise, pretty scary that most of the publications have said barring injury that the White Sox should get back to the playoffs anything short of the playoffs would be a huge disappointment. It feels werid to have expectations, but then I look at our team on paper again and realize why.
  19. Obviously a joke of a trade offer, but could one phatom Manny and Vlad back to back?? And people thought Manny/Ortiz was a dangerous....chit, they'd easily have over 300 rbi's between the two of them
  20. Shingo had more saves than Jenks, he will most certainly get a ring. David Sanders on the other hand, ish dont think so.
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) All I know is he won POY for HS Football in Arizona this year, so he's clearly pretty damn good. What is his postion??
  22. nice, I can happily announce that I contributed to that figure by purchasing a Ron Kittle "Tales for the Clubhouse" book and an awesome Albert Belle 8x10 auto'd mug shot from the garage sale. At $2.00, I'm surprised sucha deal still existed on Sunday afternoon. My fridge has never been guarded so closely.
  23. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:28 AM) Allright another KU fan, i love the pic of JUJU in your avatar. Don't mind the other posters, they are KU haters, mostly due to Self fleeing their school. I would be the same way, and am with roy boy. I am more excited about the OU game then I am the super bowl. A win and we are a ranked team baby. Yeah I attended KU '96-'98, lived down the hall from Pierce, LaFrentz, Vaughn and co. Its been a rough couple years for the crimson and the blue, but this current outfit has a lot of talent and unlimited potenital. They do need to get abig win under their belt, whipping UK is far far from enough..that being said though, this is a completely different team than the one that got ousted in the Maui tournament and lost to St. Joe's at MSG. IF they finish 2nd in the Big XII, they could work themselves up to as high as a 5 seed I believe, though thats a huge IF, theyre still frosh and theyre gonna be inconsistent. I expected much more out of Giles this year, and where Darnell has been a pleasant surprise, it would have been nice to have a nice twin tower threat down low. Wright, Robinson, and Chalmers are the future and watching on how quickly they are developing, the jayhawk faithful can sleep again with optimism. As for Illini hatred against Self, I can understand that, as I have the same feelings for Benedict Roy, that bastage. Only difference was Self never said on national television that we would remain the Illinois coach forEVER. I like that Illinois fans are getting cocky with their program, and I will admit, the program is close to becoming "elite", but lets stop and think what got the team here. Weber is a great coach, no question about it, but also safe to say his recruiting has not got off to a very solid start. Is Illinois any better than an NIT team if Dee doesnt gt hurt at the pre-draft camp?? Has Augustine got any better or learned anything from last years championship game?? I have all the respect in the world for Illinois and I hope they continue to build a reputation that makes the team a perinnial elite powerhouse, I just don't get it that their fans take it for granted that this is a foregone conclusion. Kentucky, UCLA, Duke, Kansas didnt become the programs they are overnight.
  24. QUOTE(Goldmember @ Feb 2, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) for versions without watermarks, yes... biggest uribe catch pic i've seen another thanks, I had never seen that 2nd angle before. Even without the significance, this is the defensive gem of the season, without a doubt.
  25. long time reader, first time poster to this thread. Great hoops talk in here, I'm kinda pissed that I missed out on the early season discussions, but Febuary is here, seperating the contenders and pretenders. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK. Scared, be very scared of this maturing team come March.
