  1. Cutting to the chase, I thought a professional photographer used to advertise with soxtalk, but couldnt find a a link anywhere. I'm looking for a nice 16 x 20 Crede photo for his signing this weekend. Anybody have info on where I could find some nice pics?? I even tried to google a few vendors from Soxfest, and no luck. Websites would be fine too, but I waitied a bit too long and need this by Saturday. mlb.com photos takes like 2 weeks to deliver. thanks.
  2. Road day game, Scorpion will come correct this afternoon..... no doubt in my mind. I say 7 1/3, 6K's, 3 ER, W. Bonderman shows mercy.
  3. QUOTE(WCSox @ Apr 9, 2006 -> 05:24 PM) Pods listens to Trick Daddy? Only for his first AB of the game, then its onto U2
  4. QUOTE(Timoperezrulez @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:17 AM) I think tonight is a good night for Scotty's first hit of the season. coupled with his first stolen base(s) of the season.
  5. Any word on JD???? Or are we just to assume that he will be a gametime decision?? Me thinks the bench for him in my fantasy
  6. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 01:23 PM) I'm surprised it took 8 posts. By the way, has anyone seen a Thome T-Shirt yet? I can't find one ANYWHERE. I believe I saw them at the Cell, and if not there I def saw them at Grandstand.
  7. I'd say out of everybody, the most I was impressed with was Mota. He could be really key for them if he stays effective as a set-up man, and great insurance for Wickman.
  8. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 12:33 PM) I think you've got to go Thome Taking into consideration coming off a WS season without him on the roster, even with us re-signing our most popular player and most sought after free agent, there is no doubt in my mind that Thome will be the top selling Sox jersey this year.
  9. I could be wrong here, but I thought Nancy was not coming back because her contract weas not re-newed by the Sox??? I believe they are looking to ditch the organ all together.
  10. Does anyone have access to an NBA mock draft that they could post?? Big Baby is in no way, shape, or form ready to jump. I dont know if he was just winded or sick, but he couldnt make it past half court 8:00 into the UCLA game. I do feel he will be a great pro, but could definitely use another year and afford to lose another 30.
  11. good post, I agree with a lot of what you said. I will be celebrating last year's title forever, but I am glad all the ceremonies, rallys, give-a-ways, fly-overs and bake sales are over. Holding onto last year only keeps the team from moving forward and focusing on doing this again. I expect the White Sox to play much better in KC and Detroit.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2006 -> 09:53 AM) So are people seriously saying that they'd want Borchard to have come into the game yesterday instead of Mack? Seriously...Rob Machowiak is the first guy off the bench for almost every outfield position, as he should be, since he's the best backup outfielder on our bench. People wanted Borchard to start in center over Anderson and Mack, so these outcries come as no surprise.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 03:58 PM) Another reason that many of us wanted him to start the season on the DL. However, the best we can hope for is that he finds a rhythm during the games. Nevertheless, he still has the same amount of RBI's as our captain. Prove me wrong, Paulie.
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) Trust me when I say that the first 3 games of this season doesn't change the way I view Pods. I'm just grateful that he did great in the postseason. The guy saw what, 10 AB this spring?? If anything, Konerko has left the most people stranded.
  15. QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 03:47 PM) I'd take Michaels over Pods any day. And I wouldn't say he's unknown. Ummm no. Unbelievable the bandwagoning going on here within the first couple games. I'm sure everyone will be back to bowing down to him when he gets his 4 sb game. But yeah, go ahead and blame these past 2 games on Pods.
  16. I bought 80 of these batting gloves.... one for every base I'm gonna steal. GO GO GO
  17. Did DJ just say the World Series ring is what keeps him wealthy?? Hmmm ok.
  18. QUOTE(WinningUgly85 @ Apr 5, 2006 -> 09:18 AM) I was at the game yesterday. I know you cannot avoid the drunks, but when I think of baseball and drinking I immediatly think of Wrigley Field and those cub fans. I hate it when cub fans show up to our games trying to influence their s*** in our ball park. I sat left field right next to the foul pole. Then I hear a guy scream throw the ball back after the Indians homer. Seriously whats the point? its just making you look like an idiot. I mean how many chances in a life time do you catch a ball in a regular season game? If your going to throw that s*** on the field give the ball atleast to some kid who hasn't even caught one before. I say if you want to throw the ball back go up north. I agree completely... the Cell was much too similar to a "Wrigley" type crowd yesterday. Uninformed stupid baseball fans that just came to get the ring and get drunk on an early spring day. If I have to hear "Rowand would have caught that" one more time, I think I'm gonna go haywire. I even heard "Podsednik sucks, why did we trade Willie Harris??" Has it really all come down to this on the Southside??? We all know our fans are better than this, but the trendies sure didnt take long to influence the park.
  19. All these ebay rings come from the abundance of Cubs fans in the park yesterday.... WAY TOO MANY. I missed out on a ring but not because I wasn't there earlier enough, moreso coming from the fact that the parking continues to be an absolute joke. So I'm waiting to park in Lot F at 11:10 am, maybe 3-4 cars from the attendant, when they stop the line and start talking on their walkie talkies (mind you, Lot F still was half empty and Lot L was still 60% empty. The attendant comeas back and said sorry, can't park anymore here we have to leave these lots half empty, go to IIT lots. Ok fine, expect for the fact that the Sox don't have an contract with IIT during day games. At 11:15 they were moving cars to 31st and Lake Shore with half empty lots in F and L. People were getting out of their cars and swearing... I'm surprised a riot didnt break out. The Sox couldnt have be more unprepared to start the season with public relations and overflow crowds. All the new employees are clueless. That being said, I have a lot of great tickets for upcoming games and extra signed balls from soxfest if anybody wantys to trade me a ring. Its not that I HAVE to have one because they are so great, actually theyre kinda ghetto in their little dimebags, but being a season ticketholder for the past 5 years, I do want one. If you have an extra and are willing to trade for a couple lower deck tix, or some autographed memoribilia, please pm me or let me know.
  20. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) I'm fairly sure that the banners ARE the flags. THe banners are pictures of flags, you may notice. And the actual flag polls now have an array of past Sox logos. Yes. Very sharp new skewl indeed.
  21. They were taking cash at Lot F, problem was, it was full by 3:15/3:30
