  1. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:09 PM) I think that chick in your avatar cuts my hair. that's the girl from the stands reacting to the fight right??
  2. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 24, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) As for Rondo, that guy couldn't hit a b**** from 6 inches away if he were Rick James. If taken in the first round, he'd be the worst guard in terms of shooting ability I've ever seen taken in the 1st round. However he does run the point well, is a great athlete, gets a lot of rebounds, and can defend, which are all pluses. But I still don't like 6'2 guards that have NO shot. A point guard is not always relied upon to score. Rondo is a pure leader and arguablly the best defensive player in this draft. I would not mind ther Bulls snagging him at all for a backup guard with their 2nd 1st round pick, but I very highly doubt that he'll be there. ESPN has him ranked way too low.
  3. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 24, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) "Go!" by Common and Kanye West is also played before some Pods at bats btw, although not sure if that matters. Yeah, I did notice that for the first time last weekend too. Excellent song. It should also be pointed out that Pods usually comes out for his first AB to Trick Daddy.
  4. Was it a brand new authentic signed jersey or game used???
  5. Ok, I'm not saying this is fixed or anything like that.... but have any of you, or even heard of anyone winning a jersey?? Obviously the odds are not too good with only being 15 jerseys that they give away...but even last year with the sparse 12,000 crowds, I've never seen somebody or knew somebody that won one.
  6. The future. Thinking Thomas is Swift II is pure ignorance. More like Jermaine O'Neal. This guy accomplished more in one season than Swift did in his entire career at LSU. Not to mention he absolutely dominated Jokim Noah and Shelden Williams. He has the intensity and quickness the Bulls need down low. Alderidge is a fine player, but I see Thomas being a much better NBA player especially with his speed.
  7. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ May 23, 2006 -> 02:12 PM) I'd assume that you'll see them all over the place starting tomorrow now that the draft order is about to be determined. If you can't wait that long, nbadraft.net has one up. thanks... I like to take a look at various projections. nbadraft.net and espn seem to differ with several different players. Rajon Rondo is one player that I am trying to keep an eye on as pre-draft camps start up..... he'd be a solid pick for the Bulls 2nd 1st round pick, though I doubt he will be there. ESPN has him going as high as #7 to Boston, nbadraft.net has him going #26 to the Lakers. The kid plays outstanding D.
  8. QUOTE(knightni @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:32 PM) ESPN has a fun draft lottery randomizer. It has the Bulls taking Tyrus Thomas, LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy or Andrea Bargnani. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/lottery2006/mockdraft anybody find any other mock drafts or projections??
  9. I believe its because Baines has been away for his kid's graduation or something to that effect.....
  10. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 22, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) Today should be a very interesting game for several reasons. I'm very interested to see how Frank is received, if the poll I set up is any indication, he should get a nice ovation. I don't think the people that are voting in the poll, or on a white sox messageboard for that matter are going to be the ones that will be booing. He regrets his time with us, so why should we be thankful for that time
  11. Torii Hunter, CF MIN News: The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the five teams on CF Torii Hunter's list in his limited no-trade clause are the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Detroit Tigers. Analysis: Hunter, who hit just .189 in April, has raised his season average to .268. The athletic outfielder should be active in all formats.
  12. QUOTE(Jimbo @ May 18, 2006 -> 04:19 PM) Neifi Perez goes for a bunt with 2 outs in the 9th......what the f***?? I said the same thing, and then I realized that it was Neifi Perez. I guess he thinks just as highly of his offensive skill as everyone else does. Always important to get that go ahead run on base, espeically when you are still down by 1. I've really seen it all now... wonder if Neifi will take the blame for his boy Dusty. Doesnt matter, Pierre lost them this game, or at least a chance to tie
  13. But where will the kids go for candy next Halloween??
  14. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 17, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) Dj and Brenley would be priceless "WAY BACK OUTTTTTTTAAAA....... :uhoh"
  15. Here's hoping that the favorite prodigal son has left his hair product(s) back in Minnesota. Not that I was expecting to beat Johan twice in a row, but Judy was out in full force in the Land O Lakes.
  16. you know what I was thinking that could be reall cool for a Pods wallpaper is have him in screen shots stealing a base.... kinda like the wind-up in motion shots that you see of pitchers, but for pods stealing... LOl if that makes any sense whatsoever.
  17. GO GO GO !!! Good Luck!!! PS- Didnt find anything coming up for pairs. LOWER BOX for Sunday!!!! Damn.
  18. QUOTE(jphat007 @ May 15, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) Somebody needs to go find that thread about Pods. You could have some great laughs. Pods is a very good player. thats better.
  19. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 15, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) Pods is now hitting .297. Check that: .302. Damn, youre quick. Pods = Spitting HOT FIRE. Needs a triple for cycle.
  20. Does that mean that 80% of the people on here still want to trade him or even better release him?? Hey, Jerry Owens is batting a staggering .225 in TripleA, I bet he would get on base and be much more than effective than Pods. His non-effective play is KILLING our offense. Maybe he's hurt?? The wedding?? :banghead Pods is now a shade under .290, major props for one of the biggest one month turnarounds I have ever seen. He is also 7 for his last 8 in sb, with the caught stealing on an throwing error. Pods is offically on cruise control.
  21. Ohh well, at any rate, at least I'll be able to catch up on my MLB 2K6 season on 360. On the bright side, at least there is no temptation for slip n slide.
  22. Now there is something the Chevy Pride Crew recruting team should take notice of
  23. that is tight, mind if I use it for my avatar??
  24. Hey Burls had a terrible outing today, maybe we can get Jerry Owens or Sweeney to replace him too!!!! I swear, if its not "Pods SUCKS", its "Anderson is awful", if its not Anderson, people will probably be crying about losing Rowand again because he made some webgem and Thome struck out again 4 times. Anderson will be fine. It seems like certain people around here will stretch to find anything to argue about, especially when there really is nothing to argue about in the grand scheme of things. This place seems for on edge now than before we won the series...I guess we are turing into greedy Boston fans that expect nothign to go wrong and when it does, KILL. Not every player is gonna make the All-Star team, nor would I want them to. Give some credit to our coaches and scouts....both Anderson and Sweeney came to the team the same year, guess what Sweeney lost. Not even mentioning he is not a CF, nor will he learn to be one in a month. Despite some of our guys struggling, Uribe is much more of a concern than BA, because this seems to be his trend during his time with us and as a ballplayer. I'd be willing to bet that moving Uribe up to 2nd was more to look into a possible benefit for him, rather than looking to get more production out of Iguci. Our offense is still very productive and very consistent thus far this year, BA has made up for his sloppy start by making me forget Rowand in CF. It's not like BA is the first rookie to have a bad first month at the plate in the majors. I still laugh at the comments a couple weeks back on people wanting to "release" Pods. Sure Cubs fans boo at their players, probably becuase they dont even knwo who the hell they are... all some of u guys do is whine and b****. If BA comes back to have a stellar season and wins ROY, the same people will come back and gloat with "I told you so... what a stud." This team has no place for bandwagoning fans.
  25. Dear Fans, I want to personally thank everyone – my friends, my family, White Sox fans, baseball fans in general, the Chicago White Sox organization, and of course, my teammates – for showing their support for me during the past three days of on-line voting for the final spot on the American League All-Star Team. The response has been amazing and humbling. Being named to the All-Star Team is a dream every 10-year-old enjoys when growing up playing baseball. Thanks to your votes, I will have the opportunity to fulfill those dreams on Tuesday night in Detroit at Major League Baseball’s 76th All-Star Game. It will be an experience I will never forget. Thank you, Scott
