Didnt get to see this cause I was at the game, but WOW. What a great tribute, my favorite part by far was all the players meeting up again in Spring Training. I dont know about you folks.... but damn this makes me HUNGRY.

QUOTE(Sam @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) My bad for skipping you Venom...I had to get this one out of the way: dude, that is great. It belongs on a t-shirt. Thanks so much. How do I go about posting this?? Usually I just steal from the internet with picture that already have a url.

QUOTE(salty99 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) Good because I plan on bringing my Wheaties box. Are they restricting to one item per person or no? Yes, and I'd imagine that Buherle is gonna be a bit more crowded than Crede's. Joe showed up 15 minutes early, and by the time I got there, the line was only 10 minutes long. There was talk that Crede might stay after all the people with vouchers got their items signed to sign more, and Joe did finish up about a half hour early, but of course there were no more autographs.

Buehrle and Widger autograph signing today

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:28 PM) Well that should tell you my expertise on autographs. I'll do that with Bobby if I get one. Thanks!!! Yeah, some players will ask where you want the signature... but then again, taking into consideration they are there signing all day, it's a lot quicker not to ask. The auto will also stay in much better shape on a ball when signed with a pen, prefrably blue. -
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 11:37 AM) cool thanks for the info. I wonder if the Buehrle signing will have the same on paper restrictions with him signing anything I think you'll be fine with any "paper" memoribilia, they are probably just trying to discourage bats, gloves, bases, jerseys and the rest of the big items.

Buehrle and Widger autograph signing today
watchtower41 replied to Controlled Chaos's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:01 PM) ?? The "Sweet Spot" on the ball (between the seams) is usually the best spot to have someone sign. Unless of course you plan on getting the ball signed by numerous different players..... -
Buehrle and Widger autograph signing today

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 12:00 PM) Just got back. I got my world Series program signed and a baseball. They would only sign two things each. No sweet spot?? -
QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 12:35 PM) Far from being true. Look at last year with Colon. There were at least 3 other pitchers who should have won it instead of him (Rivera, Buehrle, Santana). I love Buehrle as much as anybody, but he deserved no piece of last year's Cy Young. He just did not have it down the stretch, October on the other hand, TOASTY.

If youre feeling creative, I definitely could use one. I'm looking for something with Contreras and Mortal Kombat. Me and my season ticket partner give each pitcher a MK nickname, Bronze Titan is Noob Saibot. Maybe something with the MK symbol w/ a Contreras pic and "FINISH HIM" script from Kombat??? Thanks, much appreciated. EXCELLENT! Noob Saibot WINS.
-
EL TITAN DE BRONZE! Said it once, I'll say it again, he will win 20 with us this year. Noob Saibot wins!!! OUTSTANDING.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 09:04 AM) #2 on the the top ten plays of the day. Number 1 was the fact that it was Jackie Robinson Day in MLB. It was #1 Web Gem on ESPN, Ravech already predicted that it will be a nominee for Web Gem of the Year.

Had to figure this was gonna get blown out of proportion

Slap on the hand, go about your business.... it's probably gonna be over played in the media though. Burls wont re-sign after this blah blah blah

QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) Just remember, it could always be worse... we could be listening to Ron Santo Ron Santo at least has comedic value with his great remarks "those heaters in the dugout blow out hot air when its cold outside", our booth on the other hand is just dead. No chemistry whatsoever, Singleton doesnt even acknowledge Farmeo's questions at times.... much bigger stuff to worry about though liek the reappearance of Judy Garland

great post, I can't wait for Vasquez's home debut tonight...though I highly doubt we'll get anywhere close to a sell-out, its gonna be a beautiful night for baseball. I like Vaz to go 6 2/3, 3 ER, 6k, 2 BB. Pods will get 2 hits tonight. Mark it. White SOX WINNER.

QUOTE(salty99 @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) I would call the Toys R Us and make sure this is still happening. It is no longer listed with Toys R Us Website. probably sold-out
-
QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:20 AM) I've got him stashed on my fantasy team and hoping he'll be in the rotation soon. I wouldnt stash him away on your fantasy team, s***, even coming out of the pen, the guy is one of the most consistent pitchers I have thus far. If you have a spot for him, put him in everyday.

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 14, 2006 -> 10:04 AM) Scotty will be fine... patience. Thank You. How soon people forget that he hist a walk-off in the World Series, against one of the best closers in the game. People also forget on how much welcomed him and loved him as we voted over and over again to put Pods in the All-Star game over the likes of Jeter, Matsui and Crawford??? He has one bad week to start the season and people "hate" him. LOl what a joke this board is at times, so quick to jump to negative conclusions like a true Wrigley rat. What are you gonna do BOOOO him like a Cubs fan tonight?? Me, I'll probably be cheering louder than anyone at the Cell, because I'm a Sox fan, I refuse to kick our players when they are down and treat them like Corey Patterson. Our fans have much more class than that.... If a Sox player goes into a slump, we support them. Our organization also has more class and is not going to lie to us about injuries and what a player's status is. Pods deserves more than a little slack here... he will be fine. Cripes sake, he had the best average on the team last year. I know its an easy excuse, but as far as what he's been able to do so far this year, he'd still be in his 3rd week of spring training. Want to see worse than Pods start?? Go ahead and keep whining for Jerry Owens, he's just tearing it up in the minors

Good place to buy professional Sox photos??

Nobody has that link that used to be on here for the professional playoff and WS pictures for sale?? I know Ive seen it on here numerous times.....I long for better days ahead with a search function. Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm looking for a 16 x 20 of Crede's WS Game 1 HR, like the one below..... -
QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) It would be nice to see Crede make an appearance at the plate this season.. geez what is goin on with some of our hitters not sure what youre expecting, I know his average is not there yet, but he has been driving the ball pretty well and has 7 rbis, he's done a decent job at the plate so far imo. His glove on the other hand, besides the "no call" error that Farmeo was mentioning today, has been spectacular.

QUOTE(Wedge @ Apr 11, 2006 -> 12:39 PM) I'm a little bored on this off-day, so let me ask a question. If the Twins tank, and decide to trade Hunter, would you trade for him? It'd almost be a move akin to when the Bulls brought in Rodman: the guy on the hated division rival steps in as a great defensive player and brings just enough clutch offense to keep you over the top? Getting AJ was like Rodman going to the Bulls.... hated him and then LOVE everything about him. Hunter coming here would be like Starks coming to the Bulls, hated him and continue to HATE him. I still have yet to forgive and forget the whole incident with the Josh Paul plowing and saying the Cell didnt deserve to hold an All-Star game. Classless clowndick.
