It is just a show at this point anyway.

While he said a lot of the right things, to have such divergent opinions from what he said very recently seems suspicious at best. It comes off as unauthentic at best and lies for the press at worst. The non- reaction from the players tells me they feel similar.

Yep. No surprises there.

Mostly because they don't have enough talent.

This is such a Boomer mentality. Its like if you aren't doing well its because you aren't getting abused enough. The 50s are gone.

That and WAR, oWAR, dWAR, batting average (which you seem to think is very important), runs scored, stolen bases, BABIP, OBP, wOBA, and RC+,.

I won't tell you about all of the categories that Eaton out produced Nomar Mazara in.

If felt about as long as April 2020 did to me.

If you are asking if I think Steve Stone could do another job in baseball after decades of being an announcer, I would say the same thing. The game isn't the same as the last time he was in a dugout.

Rick Hahn flat out said they didn't interview everyone he wanted after JR went to TLR.

Steve Stone bringing ?

Great. Get rid of them too.

You mean the team of players where not a single player has said anything about this today? Not a single tweet, interview or comment from a current player. No, sounds like everyone is thrilled.

Seeing something like this might also mean that LaRussa is playing a persona for attention too, which is almost worse.

I was excited about Timmy since he got here. I was also one of the few who supported his extension when it happened.

I got a TLR autograph when I was like 10 years old in the mid 80's at a game at the original Arlington Stadium. That ball is all faded and barely legible. You know, a lot like Tony now.

Jerry: Get me Al Lopez! Rick: Isn't he dead? Jerry: Well cross him off of the list!

If you are going to give credit to Tony for saying what he had to say during the presser, you have to give Marcus the same here. It is obvious what both have meant with their statements.

Unless it has F@ck in front of it, I don't believe it.

Here it is https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/heres-the-david-robertson-trade-the-nats-white-sox-were-reportedly-close-to-making/#:~:text=The Nationals%2C according to executives, got hung up over money.

I don't think he was in it.

Jesus Luzardo is a huge one.

On the bright side, Guaranteed Rate now has a slam dunk crossover to endorse reverse mortgages.

Rick essentially said they quit interviewing candidates once Tony made it know he was interested. And by that I mean Rick quit interviewing candidates once Jerry told him to hire Tony.
