As of right now, the Bulls, Hawks, Sox and Cubs all qualified for the playoffs in their last season of play. I don't think that many Chicago teams have ever made the playoffs all in one season. Do people think that both baseball teams could do it again this year, plus adding the Bears to the list? Has anywhere ever had this many teams in the playoffs at once?

QUOTE (The Beast @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 11:36 PM) Do you guys want to get tickets on the day of for the game? I'm all for playing softball, but I was curious if we were all going to the game afterwards in a specific section. Usually there is the opportunity to do a patio party after the game. I don't know if that has been arranged yet or not.

EAT s*** FARNSWORTH!!!! Sorry, I love tradition.

Come on Chris, first and third him.

Fields with the bunt single... means Wise should be bunting as well.

The most disapointing number of the day is only forcing Meche to throw 91 pitches to get through 7 innings.

Lexi K's to end the 7th... Sox trail 2-1 with only 6 outs left to try to make it up.

Damn. This is going to be another 2008 if we are going to win the division... 225 homers minimum.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 02:41 PM) i'd like to give him a golden shower Kinky

Nice inning Clayton!

Clayton Richard in to pitch the 6th.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 02:22 PM) Like I said, it's better stimulus than a tax cut. But, the most effective stimulus is going to be something that not only employs unemployed people but which produces something that the country actually needs and which can facilitate further economic activity. A new Presidential helicopter can not enable new economic activity the same way a few billion dollars worth of Solar Panels or a new high speed rail line or some intensive volcano monitoring will. But its shovel ready!

Nice way to work out of it by MB. Too bad he had put himself into that hole... 2-1 KC halfway home.

Anyone throwing yet in the pen?

Wow is Mark living dangerously today... You don't often see him this afraid of the strikezone. I wonder what his pitch limit is today?

Game tied at 1 after 3 innings of play.

Fields ties it up with a single, Dye gets shot at the plate 1-1 after 2

Ugh.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 01:16 PM) Konerko lines a single to Left Center. Bases loaded, nobody out. And who's up? Pierzynski. Get to Alexei with the bases loaded. For God's Sake get to Alexei with them still loaded. That's not exactly how I wanted that to happen...

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 01:12 PM) Weren't the Republicans 2 months ago making an issue of how much of a waste that was? It's better stimulus than a tax cut, but just like all defense spending, its actual value to the country's future is limited. Weren't you the one who was recently saying that it didn't matter how wasteful that spending was as long as it was spending when we were talking about government spending?

Sinking liner to TCQ ends the top of the second... 1-0 Royals

HE GAWN!!!

Alex Gordon goes yard 1-0 Royals

HE GAWN!!!
