  1. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) That being the hallmark of an eating disorder..... And that is the saddest part of it all. Literally Hollywood is killing this girl.
  2. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:20 PM) and you know how bad the sox have been agaist unfamiler pitchers these past few years They just kicked the s*** out of Francis last night.
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) Actually, SS, your sig is a pretty good guideline for posting. I my sig.
  4. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) Would love to have Cameron back on the Sox as our 4th OF I can give you 7,333,333 reasons it won't happen.
  5. Who would you bench?
  6. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:54 PM) Anyone who saw me post at WSI knew I was a pretty s***ty poster. I think I just grew up a little. Some people could use that. Mainly SS...... personal attack, you're banned :finger
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:52 PM) Exactly, not to mention your left handed pitch hitter off the bench would be: Timo And your 4th OF.
  8. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) And you believe him? Saying he won't trade Everett is one way to get teams to offer more for him. Frank has 2 pinch-hit homers already and needs to be our DH everyday. That would leave little playing time for Everett. Although, it's nice to have Everett as insurance in case we have an injury. And Carl Everett is on pace for 110 RBIs, while Frank could get hurt again at any second. Yes I really believe Kenny when he saids Carl isn't going anywhere, he needs Everett just in case.
  9. Has anyone else gotten this yet? Is it true?
  10. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Common Sense is such a paine these days. [/pull pin, throw joke grenade...] An Economists joke!!!! s*** where is my bow tie???
  11. Kenny just said he isn't trying to trade Everett. Basically unless someone offers us something stupid for him, he is staying here.
  12. My 1993 home Robin Ventura without a name on the back, like they were originally.
  13. QUOTE(farmteam @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) Enough's enough, keep it within the PM's guys. Anyways, I'd say it's a good idea for KW to step back and let the others do their jobs, especially since he knows he's essentially useless with it. ^^ What he said. There is no need for that crap.
  14. Awesome pic...
  15. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) And you still have 31,800 posts? Yeah, evidently it is amateur comedy hour now j/k. This is a good thread guys. With everyone one in a reasonable mood, if you have something you want to get off of your chest about the site, now looks to be the time to do it.
  16. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:48 PM) When I'm ticked off I can't get to my email fast enough... LOL.. you know that for sure. I have comtemplated a "steff's rants" folder. Sometimes I wonder if it wasn't for problems would she email at all?
  17. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) I've done that myself, 56789. I do it all of the time. Especially when I am upset.
  18. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) A bit of topic here, but does anyone else feel A-Rod lost a bit of his luster when he went to the Yanks? He lost it when he got the $252 million contract
  19. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Take it to the Roadhouse.
  20. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) Lance says that we need to consult both the World Bank and the IMF to make sure that the much needed econmic aid reaches the Philippines. I just typed up the interview and once FutureSox gets back up within the next 24 hours, the interview will be the big story. C'mon, give us the exclusive first
  21. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) I would have no problem with that. It's a bit more open in OT because you can't lose your point, however...so OT has been better. But it's the third period where no one does anything if it's tied. Hence the giving an extra point to winning in regulation. It motivates teams not to play for OT for the last 5 minutes of regulation.
  22. Here is the deal the way I see it. When Soxtalk started, it was all people who basically knew and liked each other. The early growth of the site was all word of mouth growth to other people that the original people knew. Heck I got on here because of Mario talking about Soxnet, and never looked back. The problem has become the growth has been extended into strangers who have no attachment to each other, and there for have no feeling that they have to respect each other. It is easy to respect the people you already know and like, but when you don't know someone and they rub you the wrong way, it is easier to snap on them. And as we have grown the problem has only gotten more and more pronounced, to the point where not many people know each other, and the level of respect for each other has evaporated. But don't worry. We as mods and admins have noticed the problem and have been all over it. We have been talking tons and have been trying to take actions ASAP to fix problems as they are happening, instead of waiting for things to get bad. Some of you have noticed the symptoms of this. There have been more threads closed, moved, and deleted than there every used to be. We have also been trying to send warnings to people to try to deflate situations quicker, and we have also had to suspend people. We are serious about keeping this the premier place to post about the White Sox, but most of that lies in you all's keyboards. Do us a favor and think for a sec before you post. You might think something is stupid, but it really doesn't help much to have 6 posts declaring how stupid it is. It just mucks things up, and makes things look more chaotic. Just passover the bad posts, and posts in the quality threads and discussions. If someone wants to say something stupid, ignore it. If you feel the need to respond, stick to substantive responses. We have a few posters who are masters at this, and lately their posts have really stood out to me. Also there is never a need to call somebody a name, simply for making what you might view as a bad post. And finally if someone is out of line, report the post to us. PM one of us with a link, and we will take care of it. Also remember though just because you don't see a big announcement of suspensions or warnings, doesn't mean it wasn't done. We try to keep things private as much as possible, to give the posters a level of respect and ananimity. And finally keep up the good work guys. Despite the appearence of a decline, this is still the best Sox site on the net. There is such a collection of incredible knowledge and passion here, that it is unmatched anywhere. You guys are the ones who make this site, if you feel things aren't good, take it back from the problems. Thanks guys Mike
  23. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) Welcome to the post of the month club! Seriously... Good one
  24. #1 you weren't punished. The thread was closed because it was becoming a problem. #2 This isn't the place for discussion about this, either the off topic board, or PMs/emails are.
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 9, 2005 -> 11:31 AM) This is exactly why he wont be in the bullpen, I wouldnt be surprised if they moved him up in the rotation as well. He is flat out the best post season pitcher we have. In a playoff setting, the guy who could benefit us the most out of the pen is Contreras. #1 he has done it, and succeeded before, and #2 he can let it all out, and not hold anything back.
