  1. What about Paco Martin..... Remember that collison they had in short right field....... ouch....... f***ing ouch..... I think Lyle broke his cheek bone. But ya know what..... he wasnt that good.... so lets not care. Paco Martin, aka Noberto. Ya, he was great too. I would always yell Paco as loud as I could at Anaheim Stadium. Damn, I wish him, Mouton, Robin Ventura. Those guys were awesome. Then there was One Dog, etc. Speaking of those guys, what ever happened to the witty Hawk Harrelson nicknames? He hasn't come up with anything since Carlos.
  2. DUde you arent allowed to post on this thread unless you verbally abuse the sox.. Ok BMR....... try this on for size. I like the Devil Rays right now more than the WhiteSox. thats the worst one yet... HELL AT LEAST THE DRAYS HAVE REAL MANAGEMENT!
  3. Well game one we hit the damn ball, too bad we couldn't field the damn ball, we would have won a game!
  4. DIE DEFENSE DIE! When Buehrle gets 5 runs it should have been automatic.
  5. I seem to remember someone in spring training saying take Matt Ginter north and release White... Who was that?
  6. That inning was absolutely discusting. we should have been out of that without giving up anything. Now I know why Graffy doesn't start and why Carlos is still the resident dumbass.
  7. Wow Lofton now has a 24 game hitting streak?
  8. Um he had trouble throwing to 2nd or 3rd in his prime when he played first base everyday. I doubt seriously he has perfected that while DHing the last few years.
  9. So what you guys are saying is that the key is to score more runs than the Blue Jays do? Man that is some radical thinking. Maybe someone should call Jerry with that theory.
  10. i think you mean tim worrell, as todd retired a good six years ago. D'oh!

    Bears

Nah, I still don't feel this is any better than a below average offense. Once again the onus is going to be on the defense to stop teams from scoring and create turnovers.
  12. The Sox shuffled their lineup Sunday, moving Carlos Lee up to the No. 2 slot for the first time this season and dropping Jose Valentin to sixth, only the fourth time he has batted anywhere but second. Frank Thomas was back in the lineup after a day off and made a change back to his old familiar batting stance, squaring up his feet toward the pitcher and putting his left foot flat on the ground rather than up on his toes. Thomas is expected to see some playing time at first base during the trip because designated hitters won't be used in the interleague games at Arizona and Los Angeles. "We'll probably get him out there before interleague games start to make sure," Manuel said. "He's worked very hard during infield at first base, but I don't think it's going to be a major deal for him. I think he'll handle it very well." Thomas drew the 1,320th walk of his career in the seventh inning, one more than Tony Phillips, moving into the 30th spot on the all-time list.
  13. What is that his 2nd bad outing of the year?
  14. Borchard is a switch hitter, Rios is a lefty. I very seriously doubt that he will play over Joe. Besides if JM is going to do the samething with Joe that he did with Willie he will play just about everyday.
  15. We need a good pitching preformance from Mark tonight. After getting a ton of innings yesterday from the pen, guys like Marte and Koch are only going to be available on a limited basis if at all. He needs to bear down and get us deep into the game, and hopefully the offense will make sure that we don't need our key pen guys.
  16. Saids the Frank Thomas worshiper
  17. Thats what they would say! "Noyton! Ya da greatest!" From some movie or something... Try one of TV's classic shows, the Honeymooners
  18. Well to anyone else who hasn't played, you can start at anytime. Just start posting your picks on the thread for that particular day's picks to click.
  19. Rocky Biddle Vernon Wells Rocco Badelli Jose Cruz Jr Michael Young Esteban Loiaza Gil Meche Todd Worrell Corey Lidle Woody Williams
  20. Well once again, the top player did not get picked by anyone, but to make it more interesting neither did the 2nd best player. Both Carlos and Joe Crede went unpicked in the 5-24 PTC session. The next best point total belonged to Jose Valentin with 4 points. Pickers were HotSoxChick and WhiteSox247 Congrats and good luck for next time on Memorial Day
  21. Pretty much, except there is a defined point system and rules. It makes it a little less controversial as to which person/player wins each game. Under the pick to click section is the rules and regs that is pinned at the top of the page. Anyone new can jump in at anytime.
