Being 5 games out of a team that is way overachieving, and that people are just waiting to see when they fall apart, they would be crucified in the national media as well. I think it would depend who the trade yields. If we got someone who could step into the rotation right now and contribute, I don't think it would be that bad. After all, Colon hasn't exactly set the world on fire this season... IF we got 3 of the pitchers that we have talked about I would be in favor of the deal, BUT, it would be a PR nightmare if it happened.

Did anyone else notice that before last night our home and road records were mirror images? We were 19-31 on the road before that come from behind victory. My question is, how the hell do we only have 20 wins away from Chicago?

Just got home a few minutes ago and turned on CNN and didn't know what the f*** was going on..I thought it was an assassination attempt on the mayor.. Then i thought that one of the council men shot another council man...Was the shooter somehow work for City hall or something? This is f***ed up.. Story is that the shooter was ushered through security by a different councilman. Because he was with someone else he didn't get checked by security. The NYC Mayor said today that from now on, everyone, including himself, has to go through security checks. Can you imagine Hizzonor going through security "geez, what do you want from me??"

Koch better have that attitude. The only way he is going to fix whatever is wrong, and have a chance at closing again, is if he is thinking like that.

It is called being a fan of THE WHITE SOX, and not the individual players. Even the players I can't stand I want to see do well so that the TEAM does better. Radical concept, I know, but give it some thought. You might just learn something.

Of all the things I can say about Harrelson, that he is critical isn't one of them. He never will say anything bad about a player until they aren't in a Sox jersey anymore. If you want to hear guys that are fair and aren't afraid of the players, listen to Farmer and Rooney. Farmio isn't afraid of anyone on this team.

BTW KC lead the Twins at the Roller Dome 8-1 in the bottom of the 9th. No ground gained on the Royals, and we will be 1 1/2 ahead of the Twinkees.

Unfortunately I think you are right. Those numbers aren't even close. i could take a survey of people on this board that could name the sox starting rotation. I bet you'd have about 95% of em. i could then report that "95% of people can name the white sox starting rotation" riiiiight. you can get whatever stat you want by controlling you sample your right... besides i highly doubt that half the female population is lesbian...........if that were true then you guys would have a hard time getting dates...... Well that could also explain somethings for some of the guys on here...

Interesting stuff. Which to me begs the question, if it isn't an acronym that describes the game, should we rename it something that reflects this board? Renaming is always a possibility. Any ideas? We could rename it after the contest where people pick a white sox to hit for the cycle and people keep picking Paul Konerko and Frank Thomas for some god awful reason, the Pick and Predict.
