  1. Hold me, I'm scared lmao.
  2. Guzman on a close play gets tagged out at first base by EL, but the ump is blocked out, by Daubach, and calls him safe. Jerry comes out of the dugout and gets tossed in about 10 seconds. Wow!
  3. I disagree. I think it is the Twins move now, if they want to keep up the beanball derby. We made our statement, now if they feel up to it, it is their turn.
  4. Hmm he is an interesting thought... Who will make the playoffs next, the Blackhawks or the Bears???
  5. I would guess if it is KW's call he would go with Gordon. Just a hunch.
  6. This is the only things that I could find. Looks like Cotts only gave up one run on an HR.
  7. The weekly radio show that Farmer and a guy from ESPN radio do was kind of interesting. Farmio said he was talking to Bert Blyleven who is now a Twinks announcer and pretty much they agreed that Maggs was hit on purpose on a sign from the dugout. Farmer said that not only was no sign given from the catcher, the catcher and pitcher stared into the dugout before the pitch, and the Catcher didn't even bother to set up a target!
  8. Just goes to show you, anything to get people to watch!
  9. Just wanted to say something about Hawk for manager. You don't want to go there after his fiasco as GM once. Hawk is a great announcer and was a great player, but that's where it ends. His forte is not in the dugout. I love him though. Well he was awful handling personell decesions as a GM, but I am kind of curious what kind of a manager he would make. Being a long term player he seems to have a knowledge of the way the game should be played and what players are thinking, and unlike Jerry, isn't afraid to show some passion to get players cranked up.
  10. You guys have got to be kidding me. Why do you think our benches sucked so bad over the last couple of years? Because these guys never got any AB's too keep fresh. Guys like Jeff Leifer and Aaron Rowand were automatic outs because they were averaging less than an AB a game. In order for guys to be effective they need to play. When was the last time Joe Crede sat? Why is it such a big deal for him to get a day off???
  11. This was Franks best game all year. His HR was a line drive to the gap, vintage Thomas. It was out of the park in a heartbeat. The other Thomas HR's this year have been hit very high. In other words he got under them, but was strong enough to muscle it out. His basehit was a shot into RF with a runner on. He looked to move the runner along, or hit it in the hole. Turns out he hits it HARD, and gets the bonus of a basehit. This was also the best Maggs has hit the ball all year. He was hitting the ball the other way, and on a line. Both of his HR's were out of the park in a heartbeat, not to mention hitting an opposite field two run HR off of wonderboy himself, Johan Santana. Very encouraging signs.
  12. one thing about daubach..ive folowed his career since july of '00...0-15 is pretty common with this guy...in boston he could wear the collar a whole week and then get a seeing eye single and all of a sudden go 11-15 and carry the team on his back...but when all is said and done his numbers over his 4 year career are as about as consistent as they come...he is very much like ray durham in that aspect...hot , cold , hot , cold, but in the end hes' always there

Sing it brother. I don't make much money, and I have to choose the games I go to carefully. And if I have the descrecionary funds available, I sure as hell am not going to waste it on a team that doesn't care. I love my Sox more than anything else, but if they can't convince me they care, why should I be paying their salary?
  14. This was wrong. I was at the game and he was coming up 93-94 on the gun with his fastball. That dropped third strike ended up costing him two runs tonight.
  15. Yeah, I made sure i started him on one of my fantasy teams today, before i waive him, lol. Cy Lohse my ass. We pounded him tonight!
  16. Did someone hire KW to do their dirty work? Did they offer Mike Sirotka?
  17. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=230426104 I just found this on ESPN about the game. Rios was tossed, along with Garland and Hawkins. Man that was a fun game to go to. 4HR's a White Sox winner, and a bench clearing brawl, who could ask for more???
  18. Who did Rios go after in the bench clearer? From where I was sitting all I could see was Jose dragging him out of the fray, and he was pissed off at someone! Anyone got some details????
  19. For anyone just watching the draft, what the hell just happened????
  20. If KW is dictating the game to Manuel, why isn't he proud enough to either tell him to stick it and do what he wants to do, or quit?
  21. Jets pick Dwayne Robertson of Kentucky with their pick... It'll be interesting to see who the Bears pick.
  22. lead off hit gets shut down by MB. He gives us 7 innings tonight after an awful first inning
  23. Alomar gets the first hit of the night off of mays and the Sox can't do anything else... 3-0 Twins after 6
  24. another 1-2-3 inning for MB. Man that damned first inning is killing us.
  25. another 1-2-3 inning for Mays
