  1. Just for the record, 2/25 /= 5/75
  2. Now that makes sense.
  3. There are a decent amount of White Sox related pressures that are pushing us that way as well.
  4. Uh, I haven't seen that at all here. Everyone knows he is getting the QO, so he won't be cheap.
  5. Why does this matter? A prediction on a prediction?
  6. New York and Boston are truly tough places to play because of the fans and media. Some people are made to play there, but many are not. Gallo might be one of those guys. Could be an interesting buy low talk to be had.
  7. It's not "everyone". Drop the "every".
  8. Here's the thing. Everyone is in a meltdown about Kimbrel's two years before this year serving as redflags, despite what he had done for the first half of 2021 with things back to relative normalcy. Conforto has many of the same red flags in his 2021 regression. He scares me.
  9. I could just copy and paste this from the Bears, but I am not sure why the Hawks thought they were that close to being able to compete. While the leadership isn't great, neither is the talent. Back it up and start over. Get crazy and quietly see what teams would pay for Patrick Kane.
  10. Tuned in for a bit for the first time tonight. Turned it off after they blew the 2 man advantage.
  11. Josh Fields has 632 yards passing in his career. Tom Brady 598 touchdown passes
  12. A Hall of Fame manager who can't handle teaching? Now that is a special one.
  13. Ah yes, more insults. Look if you are "watching the games" but not actually understanding what is happening, wouldn't you rather know? Or would you rather revel in your ignorance? Though I suppose your post contains the answer to that question.
  14. You literally asked... "How would you explain Cody Heur suddenly being able to locate the plate and close out games immediately after joining the Cubs?"
  15. Considering his walk rate almost doubled with the Cubs, his strikeout rate fell by about half, and his BABIP against went from .367 with the Sox to .225 with the Cubs, I am going to note that your assumption was wrong that he was able to "locate the plate". His FIP with the Cubs was actually 3/4 of a run higher with them vs the Sox, and note that he was incredibly lucky with the Cubs, and incredibly UNlucky with the Sox. I will also note that he had two saves in 25 appearances, so he wasn't exactly "closing out games" either.
  16. My favorite part is the Loonosphere is already trying to say that the person shot was somehow connected to HIllary Clinton. I am not joking.
  17. Eloy needs to learn to play a little league level of OF without hurting himself before it's not justified.
  18. Again the hire of Tony kind of painted them into a corner. JR drug the guy back into the dugout as the World Series winning move, as well as rectifying the Hawk Harrelson original sin. If he continues to flop, it really shines a dark light on Jerry and the organization that his handpicked guy which he neutered his own front office for, looked just as bad as the guy like fired. Jerry has to prop him up.
  19. Kopech, not Cease
  20. You should know by now that "eye test" is internet speak for "confirmation bias".
  21. If you watched games you would have seen that the stuff is there, but he was hit like batters knew what was coming in the last month of the season. To me that screams tipping. That is something that can be fixed. I would be a lot more worried if his velocity was down, or his off speed stuff wasn't there.
  22. Let's be honest here. If Kopech really is a starter, what kind of odds are you giving him to make it an entire season? Same for Dallas. Definitely same for Rodon seeing as he has done it once in 7 years. That's without bad luck on Lynn, Cease, and/or Gio. It might not be a top level guy, but having at least six starters at our disposal, with options for a 7th or 8th which can be kept at AAA are reasonable.
