  1. Bruce Levine asked Cooper about the rumors and he said he doesn't want to work for anyone other than the Sox.
  2. Podsednik didn't win the RotY. He was the runner-up to Dontrelle Willis in 2003. Podsednik was 27 in 2003.
  3. But you don't make the rules, the MLB does. Therefore, Iguchi is just as eligible for the RotY as Robinson Cano is.

  5. 4) Journey - Don't Stop Believin' 5) Steam - Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye
  6. That would have been a sure-fire winner, wouldn't it? :puke
  7. I guess Clemens has a bad hammy. Pods should bunt on Clemens to start the game. Cold night + bad hammy = recipe for disaster.
  8. That one botched catch was the start of the Indians tanking their season away. And I loved every bit of it.
  9. It will be Ichiro, Vernon Wells, and the third spot is up for grabs.
  10. Don't forget the awesome .320 OBP. Jonny Gomes is far more deserving than Robinson Cano.
  11. Exactly. Ichiro won the RotY in 2001 but now Iguchi has no right to win one because he played in Japan? The rule didn't change so why do people think this?
  12. Just because it's called "pro ball" doesn't mean that there's better talent in Japan than in the MLB minors. Come on now. Tuffy Rhodes hits 40 to 50+ homers every season in Japan. I guarantee you he wouldn't do that in the MLB minors.
  13. I disagree. Scott Podsednik was the runner-up for the RotY in 2003 and had played 9 years in the minor leagues before that. The MLB's minor leagues are probably just as challenging as Japanese baseball. What's the difference?

  15. That last guy to sing was pretty good. Oh, how fruity it sounds.
  16. You gotta love Sox fans who predict bad things for their supposed favorite team.
  17. Boers & Bernstein are at a bar somewhere and they are having people sing Karaoke to this stupid song. It's hilarious.
  18. Well, it may not have been a "hometown" discount but Jermaine Dye took less money to sign with the Sox. He was offered more money by the Rangers and Diamondbacks.
  19. I would venture to guess that Konerko's father knows more about the situation than us.
  20. If we win the WS, Konerko will be back. Reinsdorf will bring back the same crew and more to try and win another. He would get reamed by the media and fans if he didn't. All the money will be there to do it anyways. But I agree with you, as long as Konerko helps us win this thing it won't really bother me if he isn't back next season.
  21. Good point. Talk about this stuff after getting the job done.
  22. I'm just surprised that the Sox didn't try to resign him to get the hometown discount. Afterall, if Kenny really wants Konerko back like he and Ozzie both said, why wait and have to pay more?
