I heard Podsednik on The Score and he said that he is frustrated with his groin problems. He said he worked hard this offseason to get over them. Herm Schneider said that Podsednik needs to be running perfectly like a Porsche or else he will have problems (basically, he's injury-prone). They already said that Ozuna will start in LF on opening day against Sabathia if Podsednik isn't ready to go.

According to George Offman of The Score, Ozzie told the Cubs' dugout and the umpires during the 8th inning that he was out of pitchers and only wanted to go one more inning. The umpires were already walking off the field right after Cotts got out of the bottom of the 9th inning. Dusty is playing to the sorry-ass Cubs fans so he can look good.

Wasdin will earn $600,000 this season. He pitched 75.2 innings last season and had a 4.28 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and .261 BAA. He's a long reliever / spot starter. He has been pretty awful over his career though.

I like Toronto but A.J. Burnett might be on the DL to start the season and their infield defense looks pretty terrible -- Glaus at 3B, Russ Adams at SS, and Aaron Hill at 2B.

If he bombs, we will still have Lopez at Charlotte to back Logan up. No biggie.

I would rather have Gload than Pena. Pena is not the guy I would want off the bench. Sure, he can put up a decent OPS but he's strikes out far too much, hits around .240, and can only play 1B. Gload can back up 1B and at least play some LF. Hee-Seop Choi would have been a better option than Carlos Pena anyways, if we actually needed another first baseman.

Who was going to replace Dye -- Timo? Cintron is a much better 2B backup than Timo is a RF backup.
