Pete Rose back in baseball?
I'm still on the fence about this whole thing, but I do wish him well. He was a damn fine player and a pretty good Manager as well.

I really hope you guys don't hate me now
Being duct taped and locked in a trunk...boy does that bring back memories.

Fuck the Bullpen Thread
It really pisses me off when I was fighting sleep into the top of the 8th and Alomar hits into a DP so I go to bed thinking it's over - Only to wake up this morning and hear that we scored 4 runs in the 9th. Allright! - But wait a minute - they scored 4 in the bottom of the 8th! f***!

Fucking shitty umping
I also noticed he was inconsistent all night. I hate that worse than a bad ump.

Houston and St. Louis won. How's that? :fthecubs- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
Is that in the rule book?- A move that makes sense...
I can't agree more. I understand where everyone is coming from - keeping the oposition off balance - but really, if he does his job and hits his spots and doesn't get rattled, he'll be OK.- 7-0 road trip

I hear ya, man.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
He makes a great arguement and I'm with him. There are ties. It happens, but as far as the rules and a call goes there is no such thing.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
Koch, am I right?- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
You know what. I think I understand what he's saying now. He's saying that the ball either beats him or it doesn't. A tie does not beat the runner, so, the runner "beat" the throw and is therefore safe.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
Are you saying it's impossible for them both to get there at the same time?- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
I have absolutely no idea who you could be talking about!- New member here
I guess I just have extreme southwest Michigan covered :dips*** He nailed you! Michigander, my ass!- SoxNet and Future Sox Announcement
Yeah, I noticed. Iwas gone Thur - Sun, so I thought I missed the reason. Thanks.- There is no such thing as a lucky hit.....
I think it isn't so much a "lucky hit" as it is lucky that the defense was out of position, the pitcher missed his spot, the second baseman was on the move because of the runner going, etc. But, the batter, like you said, still has to get the ball in play and do his job. I hear you point and I like it.- New member here
That's why I came over here as well.- New member here
They sure are some strange cultures, you got that right. - 1.5 games back now....
