  1. Against KC, he gave up 4 hits, 1 walk, got no outs. Last nite the only out he got was on a sacrifice. Glover is one thing. But how does KW get out negotiated to the point of giving up a really good pitching prospect in Tim Bittner to boot. Bittner did well for us this year in two clsssifications and is almost lights out at RanchoCoocha monga, wherever that is, for the Angels. Kenny does it again. "How many guys do you want for so and so?? What, you want more? Okay, we'll throw in this guy. What, you want another guy? No problem." What was Bittner in the deal for? We got a worse pitcher with a worse contract and we throw in a solid pitching prospect. General Managers must f***ing love Kenny.
  2. The White Sox just turned Molina into a Hall of Fame candidate.
  3. All you Schoeneweis lovers out there, do you still want him to be part of our starting rotation next year? Tim Bittner, by the way, is pitching very well at the Angel's Class A team.
  4. Hey, Elcaballo, I siad ONE of the most, and I'm still psyched.
  5. Allright, you tried to sneak Dan Barnett by us. He's a catcher for Kanny who just had 4 hits. Where did he come from?
  6. You know that we will be facing Gary Glover in the next four days. He has pitched in 5 games already for the Angels. I wonder how we'll do against him...
  7. This is one of the most important weeks of the season for us. We have to have a good week here. I'm psyched.
  8. I have never seen a poll that is as much of a no brainer as this one. That performance on Sunday was nothing short of fantastic. He is a pitcher's pitcher, whatever that is.
  9. I love to watch Ray run. Used to be appropriate. IMO, Hawk is one of the best all time. He should start getting some support for Hall of Fame. Jason, why don't you run with that, now that you have connections.
  10. We play 7 games against both KC and Minny.
  11. Guillen will never make it as a hockey player, rugby player, or boxer. But you were right, Crede should have been on second.
  12. CubKilla, if he flies on the company jet, it saves money.
  13. If it were up to me, I would bring up Adkins. He has been pitching very well, and he is already on the 40 man roster. Ideally, Cotts would be kept off the 40 man roster and invited to ST in 2004 on Charlotte's roster. That way they could use that spot for some other prospect who would be lost through the the draft otherwise. Unless Cotts would have to be promoted to the 40 man to be protected, then it doesn't make any difference. I wish we had some way of knowing who will have to be protected, so that this board could properly advise KW.
  14. I bet Jim Bullard know. Come on Jim, you can tell us. We can keep a secret. Seriously, don't you think that if he is going to pitch in Anaheim Tuesday, that he would fly out there with the team tonight? Why would you make him fly commercial/coach across the country on Monday, suffer through the jet lag, etc. when it's not necessary?
  15. CLee's fielding slump lasted only one game.
  16. This is the first I heard about JoeB's wrist injury. Is it recent? Re: Bikowski. He's been a consistent .300 hitter all year lonng. I think he gets type cast into a mid level prospect, regardless of what he hits. If a couple of other guys had his stats, he would be the second coming. My question is this: Will he have to be protected on the 40 man roster this winter to avoid exposure to the draft, and is this likely to happen?? If he is NOT protected, I can't imagine him getting through.
  17. Tony G playing two in a row with another lefty facing us? Hope so.
  18. I just read today that the beloved Yankees are targeting Colon and Millwood for free agency next off season. What will Georgey Porgey pay for those two? If the Sox want Colon, they should do it now.
  19. I think you guys will have Borchard up there three years from now, even if he is still hitting .240 in the minors. Is he a better hitter than either Hankins, Hummel, or Gload? I don't think so. Virtually the same age. Reed is a shoe in to be in Chicago soon. The pitchers who will get a chance by the end of 2004 include Cotts, Adkins, Munoz, Pacheco. Everyone else is 2005 and beyond.
  20. Clujer, it's not quite as funny when you're at the bottom of that list. I'll be plagerizing that, if you don't mind.
  21. The only thing stopping it is the 40 man roster. I think they owe it to him, plus a minor league invite to ST at the least.
  22. Thanks, Rex. There is one question that I have about our minor leaguers that I have been reluctant to ask, because it is pretty early to be thinking about. But since you just did this report, I'll ask now. Which of our minor league players must be added to the Sox 40 man roster this winter to avoid exposing them to minor league drafts? Tks gain.
  23. I think he has a great chance to make the Sox next year out of ST, unless we trade for a bunch of pitchers this winter.
