QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 01:54 AM) Two words: Ryan Hollins. Yeah, that's right. He might only have two more rebounds (149) than fouls (147) this year, but damnit, he's going to be that new dominant center!!!!!!!!1 Also, on an unrelated note, if you need any more proof that +/- is a terrible stat, just look at tonight's Timberwolves line: Darko Milicic was +35 coming off the bench. I didn't watch the game, but something tells me that doesn't truly show Darko's value tonight. That being said, I love the addition of him. Perfect low-risk move that adds a big body to our front court to play with Jefferson/Love. Now if only Hollins could be benched... From everything I've read, he was pretty damn good off the bench in 19 minutes. Something like 8 pts, 8 boards, a block and 2 assists. -

As it currently stands, the Bulls have $31.1 million in contracts due to 6 players next season. That is before any draft pick salaries. The cap is expected to be somewhere between $51-52 millions. -

I'm skipping class to be home for the deadline. I'm sure it'll be uneventful like most other years, but we'll see. As of right now, I'm extremely pleased with what the Bulls have done in getting rid of Tyrus and Salmons. I am however, extremely worried about New York and Miami being our competitors this off-season for the top FA, and it seems even the Clippers have some money to spend. We however, have Derrick Rose, and they do not. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 02:37 AM) Hard to be good when you play in the West of course.. They are hoping they get the OKC way of improvement with youth though. I don't think they will be as bad as you think though (though they won't be good either in the tough West), but that of course depends if they land a potential stud like Wall (especially) or Turner. I'm not a big Tyreke Evans fan. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 02:26 AM) Well if the Kings view Evans as a PG (which I don't think they do) that doesn't rule them out drafting Evan Turner at SG as well. Evans/Udrih Turner/Garcia Casspi/Greene Landry/Thompson Hawes/Brockman I still think a Wall-Evans-Casspi-Landry/Thompson-Hawes/Brockman/FA signing big man lineup is much better though. Wall (or even Rubio or Harris) and Evans.. damn. Ya, they'll be better, but they won't be good. It wouldn't take a genius to improve that team. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 18, 2010 -> 02:12 AM) Not a big fan of Martin either, but he is a solid player when healthy, and the Rockets obviously like him. Everyone says this is a good trade for the Rockets, I think its better for the Kings. They will still suck, but who knows.. they can get lucky with the ping-pong balls and net the #1 pick and John Wall (they have the 5th worst record right now) which would really make them damn good and fun to watch. (or perhaps Ricky Rubio if he comes back to the states) You can't even rule out a trade for Devin Harris if the Nets net the pick. If things go right with the drafting (moreso them or the Nets winning it or Kings in top 3 if Rubio is eligible again), the Kings could be sitting pretty. None of those scenarios make the Kings good really. Sure, they'd be fun-ish to watch, but they'd still have 2 point guards and ok big men. -

Wow, didn't see that one coming. WojYahooNBA: Kevin Martin just spoke to Y! Sports' Marc Spears: "I appreciate them letting me go to a playoff caliber team at this time of my career." If T-Mac gets buy out with Kings, he privately hopes to sign with Lakers or Cavaliers for the playoffs, source close to him tells Y! Bucher says: If Sac and Hou can pull Knicks into 3-team deal, Sergio Rodriguez + TMac would go to NY, a source says. Told Sac-Hou two-way deal not done. -

KCJHoop The Bucks are either going to send Hakim Warrick and Joe Alexander OR Kurt Thomas and Francisco Elson to the Bulls. Probably the former. -

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) The Lakers want Hinrich and are offering the expiring contract of Adam Morrison around. But they also need to trade Sasha Vujacic in a deal, so they're trying to find a 3rd team to do that and give an expiring deal back to the Bulls. Chances of that happening probably aren't very good. There was a report out a short while ago that said the Lakers wont be doing anything at the deadline. -

I think its entirely possible that the Bulls just wanted to dump Salmons on the first willing team. It seems as if Houston is dragging this TMac thing out WAY too much and asking for too much in return, and the Bulls were having none of it. They know they can't waste time getting in a bidding war over Tmac, nor should they. They still need to move Tyrus Thomas, and possibly one of Deng/Hinrich. They got their guaranteed max contract money out of the way, now they can work to get the extra dough. -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 03:42 PM) Yeah, thats what I thought too. I think it lowers the friction on the ice and kinda heats it which smooths it out and keeps the stone moving faster. Damnit, gonna be stuck at worker longer so am only gonna get to catch the last hour of it tonight... Thats correct. The ice actually has tiny little pimples or ice bubbles all over and the brooms actually smoothen them out and reduce the friction on the rock, which causes it to travel further or to curve one way or another. -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 17, 2010 -> 03:27 AM) So I had this real good looking girl really into me at the bar tonight and as we were leaving she asked me if I remembered her name...um whoops. One of the worst feelings ever.

Russia looks amazing. Granted Latvia isn't great, but they look very cohesive. Some amazing passing. It's like an All-Star team. -
Well, if it HAS to be within the last 5 years, probably Ryan Sweeney. Or 2005 Jose Contreras.

Jose Paniagua. If not, Carlos Lee.

Chris Mannix of SI is reporting the Rockets and Knicks are finalizing a deal that would send Jordan Hill, Larry Hughes and Jared Jeffries to Houston for Tracy McGrady, with the teams swapping 1st rounders in 2011 and the Rockets getting the Knicks 2012 1st. The only hold-up right now is both teams efforts to protect the pick. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/bask...rady/index.html -
