Lead-off walk. Not too good.

PK with the base hit. He's been hitting the ball well as of late. 1st and 3rd, 2 out. And Iguchi caps off a great inning by grounding to 3rd on the 1st pitch.

Howell throwing 81 mph heat up there.

Andy Gonzalez is the only complaint I have with Ozzie right now. Why is he starting? Why is he batting 2nd? But then again, if it wasn't for KW, he wouldn't be up in the MLB right now. And he's safe at 1st.

Watching some pre-game in WCIU, it's good to see that Cooper is still doing his job. Can't say the same for Walker.

Which prospect would you want to see play in the majors the most?
I'm really starting to get impatient. All these rumors, a few guys in AAA who should be up in the MLB, but nothing is happening.

Vasher Signs Extension
Fantastic. Tommie and Peanut next.

Good Buehrle thread on Red Sox board...
Milledge, Ichiro, Sweeney with Terrero as the 4th outfielder and I'm a happy camper.

Floyd and Richar have the best chance of being up this season, and quite frankly, I want to see what they've got against other ML talent. Thats who I voted for.

Can I get an update on Gavin Floyd?
QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 03:00 PM) Wow, he might be back, seeing that velocity hitting 94 is huge... eh? I'd love to get him up to the bigs and see if some of the big time potential can be realized. I sure hope so. If Floyd turns into the pitcher he once should have been, and Gio becomes the pitcher we all think he could be...

AAP: Nevin Griffith
This is the guy I'm most excited about from our draft. I hope he signs ASAP.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:57 PM) i just don't get how so many people think the Sox are going to trade 5-6 regular starters? Baseball should investigate because we will be almost trying to lose every single game the rest of the year. 2 starters, 2 fielders, and 2 relievers. Is that really that terrible?- Predictions
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:48 PM) ALRIGHT...Everyone needs to take their Grinder Glasses off. Does it make more sense for Kenny to gut the team or to try and get the best value in return? AND, all things being equal, you think there will be more trades or less? A couple of pieces will be dealt, but not all of them. Not because he won't trade them, but because other teams won't offer what the Sox want. OR, they just weren't on the market anyway. OR, we want the draft picks. This is a prediction thread, not an XBox thread. I say 3-4 players go out the door, not 6 or 7 like some of you are predicting. Jeez, the Sox do have talent on this team, but for whatever reason, they are having a collective brain fart. LMAO. A brain fart is a skid of a couple games. This is some sort of massive season-long brain diarrhea.- White Sox vs. Devil Rays, 6/25/07 (W)
QUOTE(mu mu @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:20 PM) We get to play a team that is better than we are.- Is Jenks on the block?
If I'm the GM, I'm keeping Danks, Konerko, Garland, Fields, Jenks, Thome, and Pierzynski...and Boone Logan. The only way you get those guys is by making a ridiculous offers that absolutely blow me away. Everyone else can go.- Seattle or Arizona Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(daa84 @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:17 PM) slg and obp are probably rounded down....ie his obp is probably .3024 and his slg is probably .3652.....when you add em you get .6676 which rounds to .668 That's what I figured as well.- Seattle or Arizona Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 01:11 PM) Your numbers don't add up. OPS should be .667, but everywhere I've seen it says .668.- Predictions
Contreras Buehrle Iguchi Dye Thornton MacDougal Those are my picks.- Seattle or Arizona Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 12:58 PM) He'd fit right in with those numbers. I think he's going to be a good hitter, and would gladly take him over someone like Wily Mo. I'd take him over Wily Mo as well, but he has been bad in his 2 seasons in the MLB so far. That slugging % is shocking though.- Mets Interested in Contreras?
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 12:55 PM) I will go on record as saying that I would love to get Milledge. That could potentially fill one of three outfield openings for next year. Milledge, Ichiro, Sweeney- Seattle or Arizona Interested in Buehrle?
QUOTE(JDsDirtySox @ Jun 25, 2007 -> 12:47 PM) Speculation is that Quentin could be had. I want him. .213 BA, .302 OBP, .365 SLG, .668 OPS He's been terrible.- Mets Interested in Contreras?
I'd do any one of Humber/Milledge/Pelfrey/Martinez/Gomez for Contreras straight up. - Predictions
