  1. Only game I ever left early was a Bulls/Heat game in 2003. Bulls were down like 25 with 8 seconds left and I got up with my dad and went home. No comeback win for the Bulls, btw. I can surely say I have never left a White Sox game early though. And I do not plan on doing so.

    Uribe

QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 05:30 PM) How come those with differing opinions than me on the topic of Juan Uribe write posts questioning my baseball intelligence and/or putting ridiculous opinions into my mouth instead of stating your case for Juan Uribe. HAHA.
  3. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 08:42 AM) Steve Largent. Or Dick Butkus. And I'm sorry but anyone in "professional" wrestling can't possibly be considered. Its stage combat, not sport. I invite you to get do some "stage combat" with Mick Foley.
  4. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 12, 2006 -> 07:39 AM) Australia vs. Japan kicks off in 20 mins. Biggest game in this country for at least 30+ years. AUSSIE, AUSSIE, AUSSIE!!!!! If I were you, I'd be uber pissed. That was a BS goal by Japan. Keeper gets tackled and the bll bounces in.
  5. This thread = teh suck.
  6. Dep, relax here Mr. 3 Lions. They did get lucky on the own goal. I know it's your country and all but be realistic. If Gamarra times that better, it's headed out of the zone and the game ends in a draw. Instead, he jumps late and it goes right off the top of his skull and into the net.
  7. I like this lineup a lot as well. God damn this day is going by so slow.
  8. Wow, this just goes to show how great the MLB Draft is. A first rounder is just as big a question mark as a 54th rounder. Hows this for a fact if the day: Ross Gload and Jim Thome were both drafted in the 13th round. Ha.

    I love the internet

Any time I have some singles and I hear an ice-cream truck, I get an ice-cream sandwich and a 2-ball screwball. Oh yea.
  10. I watched this game and I must admit that the Arena Bowl is fun to watch. Congrats to Ditka and the Rush.
  11. At least it's not Chris "I'm so retarted that I make up middle nicknames for people" Berman.
  12. Mexico was impressive but if Borgetti is injured, they are screwed. Iran held in there for most of the match but made a crucial mistake. So far, this has been a really good World Cup. Can't wait to see Portugal. God, I love it!
  13. He can sob all he wants. At least Anderson is giving us some kind of production with his solid defense. Garland just throws hanging breaking balls and 2-seamers over the heart of the plate. Jeez Jon, shut the f*** up and pitch...better. If he looks at himself, than what is he crying about? Fix it. Must have some wierd mirror.
  14. Dissapointing loss for Serbia. They made 1 mistake and it cost them. Each team had a good counterattack buyt Netherlands was able to capitalize. Serbia had about 6 total chances to score and failed. If there is any hope of advancing, we have to win the next 2 and it will be tough.
  15. QUOTE(danman31 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 10:19 PM) Who is Jordan? Maybe he means Tim Howard?
  16. People seem to be cutting Iran short against Mexico. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Iran draws or wins. Portugal should be able to beat Angola. Serbia would be sitting pretty with a win against Holland tommorrow but the same can be said for any team tommorrow. Can't wait for 7:55 AM tommorrow!
  17. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) Ivory Coast should have had a penalty kick around the 70 minute mark. They should have had about 3 penalty kicks.
  18. Argentina looking really REALLY good. Should be 3-0 but 2-0 ARG at the half. Drogba scores in the 82nd minute to make it 2-1 but CIV just couldnt put it together. Boy, a draw in this match would have been awesome for SCG.
  19. England was very unimpressive and got lucky on the own goal. Their defense looked ok though. Crouch is so damn scrawny btw. Jeez, eat once in a while. Sweden/T&T start now. Can't wait to see Larsson/Ibrahimovic work together.
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 11:43 PM) He's still around. His time is pretty much Foley's time. He was just never in WWF, so he's not known as well. There you have it. I stopped watching wrestling in about 2002 and when I did watch, it was WWF and WCW.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 11:35 PM) Yes, and LCR named him. Foley is nuts, but I don't even know what to call Sabu. I saw that barbed wire match, and I still can't believe that he tore it out of himself and continued that match. I guess he was before my time. I know some stuff about him but don't remember much. From what LCR says, the guy is a beast.
  22. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) Hell, if you've ever even heard the guy talk you'd know that he's not shaken up all that much right now. He's making fun of himself during interviews (great sense of humor) and he realizes he's sucking at the plate but he also knows that he's helping the team win during every damn game he plays in with his defense. I doubt Oz was worried about BA's feelings, he's not Arnie Munoz. Anytime you see BA in the dugout, he is never flustered. It's quite amzing. Obviously, Ozzie has instilled some confidence in him.
  23. If your talking wrestlers, can anyone beat the grittiness of Mankind Mick Foley? Also, from what I have read and seen, Ty Cobb was one BAMF. Others that come to mind: Pete Rose, Ronnie Lott, Jack Tatum, Jack Lambert, Brett Favre, and Deacon Jones.
