QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) again, so what? Montero? MB police? Jesus Steff, who made you public defender #1. The incident is all over the freaking place- radio, tv, newspaper, internet- and he comes on a message board to ask what freaking happened? Give me a break. You said I was ignorant. Ignorant has a couple definitions and none mean rude. Uninformed, lack of basic education, unknowledgable all mean ignorant. I have no idea how ignorant means rude. I still find it hard to believe that you don't check out MLB or ESPN or chisox.com. This can not be the only place you get information from. If that was the case you would be highly uninformed about most subjects and from your posts I don't find you as being uninformed about anything. Of course there is a question about it. That is why there is a discussion about it. If there was no question about it then there would not even be a debate, vote, or conversation over this whole thing. Tracey disrespects Ozzie by not following orders. Ozzie puts Tracey in his place. The way it should be. End of story. Yes, that is in fact what I did. First off, I missed the entire incident because, like I said earlier, I was watching A Fistful of Dollars. Now, when I logged on this morning, I clealrly did not know that this incident ever happened. So, I get on to SoxTalk and see that there is something that happened between Sean Tracey and Ozzie Guillen in which Guillen snapped. So, I ask politely for someone to explain to me what happens, and then you come back with the comment you did. Now, considering SoxTalk was the 1st website I went to when I got on the computer, I did not hear anything about the incident. You might ask, then, why didn't he see it on TV? Well, because I woke up and watched Soccer (World Cup) all day long. My TV did not switch from ESPN 2 and ESPN all day. Boy, sure is a shame that I had to explain myself in such a manner. Is this a good enough explanation for you Mr. Information?

I wouldn't mind putting Pablo in the lineup a few days in a row but not consecutively for Pods. Maybe one day in left, one day at 3rd, one day in right, etc. but not in LF for a few days in a row. Pods needs to hit.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 10:30 PM) When I was on the newspaper at my high school, the first year I just wrote. The next two years, I was in editor positions. So I had to sort of learn parts of PageMaker on the fly. We never had time to sit down and learn it, because the way we worked is a staff of 15 putting out a paper every 3 weeks. We'd try to get a paper out the third week of school, so we were already working on the paper on the first day. So I have experience with PageMaker, but nothing indepth. The past year that I've been writing for an actual newspaper in town, all I have to do is pick up a camera, go to the game, keep a book while taking pics, interview coaches, write the story, drop the camera off. I'm doing this at the very least because it'll help me in college classes. As a plus, it could give me a step up. I don't think (I don't know really) that you're going to get a kid real often heading into his second year of college with two years writing for a newspaper with experience with layout. It'll be the same with me. When I go to college, I will have 2 years of newspaper experience with 1 1/2 as editor and 2 years of layout experience as well. I plan on getting a internship with the Sun Times or Trib too.

I am familiar with Quark. When my journalism teacher assigned me to be the editor, he put the entire layout on my lap and I had to learn Quark in like 2 days. It's quite easy once you get used to it. At the time, I was working with Photoshop a lot and it would f*** me up a bit. A really nice program. Not familiar with PageMaker however.

This is the absolute perfect way we should have the 3-4-5 set up. Look at how all 3 are feeding off eachother and all have had tremendous success this season. What a thread.

You are very welcome...

Do we have a distance on the Thome missile? And if I had a dollar for every time Hawk mentioned Carl Yaztremski...

Serbia/Argentina to play tomorrow morning. It'll be tough for the Serbs. As if it wasn't hard enough to contain the Argentinian attack, I found out that Nemanja Vidic, our 2nd best defender, who plays for Machester United, is out with an injured knee. Unbelievably bad luck for us. First, Vucinic (Lecce) hurts himself, then Petkovic pulls out right before the cup, and now Vidic is out. It's a must win. If we win, and Netherlands loses to CIV, then the entire group ends with 3 points after 2 matches. I'd definitely like that, considering we'd face off versus the Ivory Coast and Netherlands/Argentina are left to beat up on eachother. Any way you look at it, a must win. And I'll certainly be cheering. -
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 06:57 PM) The question was what would a decent reliever cost us. I beleive we got the answer today in Javier Lopez. So no. Look about 8 posts up.

QUOTE(shoota @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) Your link detailing Randy Johnson's five-game suspension IS NOT "a very large loss." Johnson will have his next scheduled start pushed back one game. You consider that "a very large loss"? And you are the best when it comes to wording what you want to say. Give me a break.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:55 PM) Fixed . Look, England is a fine country with fine people, but your soccer team is little more than big names beating on bad teams at the moment. The best team, not the best collection of names, wins this tournament. Very well said. -
QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:50 PM) Riske was the one guy we had trouble with last season when he was on Cleveland. I like this move. Good job KW! I would still like one more solid arm down there. You can argue Betancourt as well. We always sucked against him until this year.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:27 PM) England has been well known for playing to their competition. Its what kills them in these tourneys. Give them a real team in the 2nd round and you will see the real deal . Kind of like when everyone beats the crap out of the Royals, but they take 2 out of 3 from us and we shake our heads. Excellent point. We'll see in the next round. -
QUOTE(Contreras @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) You know you look like that, too. Just ask any Cub fan. We're all mullet-headed meth addicts.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:32 PM) He's joining the team in Tomorrow in Cincinnatti. As I suspected. Gracias.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:11 PM) On what happened during the game? I thought you just read the article. What the s***?!?! You came on here and asked what happened. You were the ignorant one because you lacked the knowledge and information. Hello McFly! You just said you KNEW what happened. I thought you meant you knew exactly what happened. Yeah, I read the flipping article but that's not the entire thing McFly.

QUOTE(Contreras @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:16 PM) Thanks. I plan on it. The mlb.com boards are too silly for me, so I intend to do all of my Sox-related-posting here. Actually, if that's you in the avatar, you can leave. Welcome aboard.

I'm guessing he won't be available until the Cincy series?

I met a few famous Serbian singers when they have had concerts over here. The only American musician I have met (that I recall) is Lupe Fiasco.

QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 05:01 PM) I'm not ignorant. I KNOW what happened. I am INFORMED of what happened. SoxFan is ignorant on this matter. And if that is what you mean then ok I agree. I don't believe for a second that you rely on the message board for 99.9% of the news. I am sure you listen to the radio, read the internet, and watch some TV. Then he shouldn't be in the major leagues anyway. Good riddance. Then why don't you enlighten us, oh informed one. :rolly

QUOTE(DePloderer @ Jun 15, 2006 -> 04:51 PM) Oh contraire, if you know your history of past world cups, the team that wins is generally amongst the ones that start slowly. Peeking too early is a no no. Watch how far Spain get. This is very true, but England is far from peaking. They have played poorly.
