6/2/06: Rangers @ SOX
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) Well, your memory sucks and you need to go get yourself a Tivo. You're a mess all over. I apologize. I will go do so immediately.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:28 PM) I have it paused on my Tivo right now, they showed the panned out shot from behind home plate, Ross is just around second and Barajas is picking up the ball. But whatever clear visual evidence is overrated anyway. I do not recall. Nor do I have Tivo. You are awarded no points.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:24 PM) Barajas picked up the ball the second Gload slowed around 2B, he probably would have been thrown out and either way it really isn't worth the risk of making the first out at 3B. How do you know? They never showed where the ball was when Gload was at 2nd. Not that I saw at least. I doubt the entire team, including your 3rd base coach and manager are going to run into an easy out. Ozzie clearly said "Damn" when Ross went back to 2nd.

Our situational hitting has been very s***ty lately. Very, very s***ty.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) Appearantly this is the new hotness right here, doing the wave during a close game in the late innings. HORRAY FOR BEING DUMB f***ING FANS!! Maybe in High School baseball... Red Sawx win.

QUOTE(fathom @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 08:58 PM) Hawk yelling Stretch on a ball probably 20 feet short from going out. Shocker But seriously, that pisses me off when I am not watching and hawk is screaming and I run over to see a fly ball well short of the warning track.

QUOTE(Chet @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) According to Farmio, Loe's Batting Avg. against him rises to well above 400, when he tops 70 pitches. I'll take it.

Spelling Bee
I won the Spelling Bee 3 times in elementary school and was runner up once. I usually watch it for the same reasons as WilliamTell but this year, I did not.

QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 10:27 PM) Why would we trade McCarthy? It doesn't make sense to do that, no matter how you look at it. Also, Garland has a no trade clause this year, and its highly unlikely he'd accept a trade out of Chicago, and if he did, it would likely only be to Anaheim. Aneheim? If there was a way to trade JG to Aneheim and get Scot Shields, I'd highly consider it.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:34 PM) It was already there, I edited his OPS to 1.074 to reflect what it currently stands at. I'm pretty sure you're the only one to not see it in there to start. Also, notice how the edit came before you even said anything. Touche.

Where is the heart???
Sounds like something I posted in August and September 2005. Well, I learned my lesson. I was way f***ing wrong. This is everything but the "f*** this team, see you in spring training." Like I said, I learned my lesson. The bullpen let us down. Our bullpen is not that good. Heart has nothing to do with it. Skill does.

Excellent post and I definitely agree. You forgot to talk about how reliable he is defensively. He WILL be an All-Star this year. World Series MVP...the guy can hit.

6/1/06 Game Thread: White Sox @ Indians
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:12 PM) Just a horrid road trip. Definitely. It will be VERY nice to see that home field again. That series with Detroit will be HUGE!

Ron Kittle
I'll pass. The only playoff game we lost last year was when Ron Kittle replaced Bill Melton in Sox Pre-Game Live. 11-0 with Melton. 0-1 with Kittle.

6/1/06 Game Thread: White Sox @ Indians
QUOTE(CWSOX45 @ Jun 1, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) Bulls***. You felt pretty confident with a 15 game lead last year right? We all know how that well. It's May. They made up those 15 games in two f***ing months last year. As far as I'm concerned, as long as the Indians aren't 10 back, they are in this race. CWSOX45 Easy there killer. First off, when we were 15 up on them, they started playing .900 ball. 2nd, it now June. 3rd, when they consistently win games and play like they have this series, then they will be back in it.
