QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:48 PM) 94? Damn he's been working out or maybe knows Jason Grimsley. ZING!
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:46 PM) He has 3 pitches that are obvious, the straight fastball in the upper 90's to around 100, a 94 to 97 cut fastball that has late movement, not like Rivera but still nasty, and that hammer at 85 that just drops out of sight. He also throws at least 2, maybe 3 other pitches sometimes...but that s*** is so nasty that I couldn't tell you what it is. Not sure, but that cutter he throws doesnt have much cut to it, it just runs in on hitters. You CANNOT see a high 90's cutter in on the hands and then a mid-80's curveball at the knees on the outside corner. It's just not fair. Thats all I can say. It's not fair.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) I saw Kapteyn pitch as well (a close friend of mine's cousin goes to Illiana). As SF1 said, very good control and a fastball that probably is in the 88-90 range now if scouting and common sense are correct based on him growing into his body as he gets older. On CSN, they said he tops out at 94 so someone was longtossing over the summer.

College to NFL position changes

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) Of course, anyone in general. The ones that are publicized most are generally QB to WR, but I'm just wondering about all players that made position changes. And for that matter, DE's can move to DT even once in the NFL. I know for a fact Kevin Williams has played some DE for Minnesota, and he's a DT by nature...or maybe it's the other way around. I know he plays, or has played, both in the past. Kevin Williams went from DT to DE, I believe. Oh, and Cuck the Fubs...Azumah went from RB to CB to KR to IR. -

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 07:58 PM) Once of the funniest celebrations you'll ever see for a goal. Hopefully he'll bring it back out if he scores again. He has to score first. Personally, I look forward to all the African countries to score and do gymnastics on the pitch. Except the Ivory Coast of course. -
20 (615). Wade Kapteyn, RHP, Illiana Christian High School (IL) I played him my freshman year. The guy is good. Good control, and I believe he has improved his velocity every year. Shoule be in the high 80's now.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 05:11 AM) If I was going to pick a team to suprise it would be Ukraine. In a pretty easy group, and they have a great striker in Andrei Shevchenko (just signed for Chelsea). Holy schnikes! Didn't know he signed with Chelsea. Ballack, I knew about. WOW! They might as well just sign every great striker in the world. What are they going to do with Shevchenko, Crespo, Drogba, and Gudjohnson? Might as well run a 4-2-4. -
QUOTE(hi8is @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 01:55 PM) hey man, im 5 foot 11 and my weight is about 155 lbs... i need to get my body fat percentage but id imagine it to be pretty good... i just have a little over the bottom abs and the obleuques as well.... my goal is to remove that so i can have a more defined looking stomach.... but id also like to add more mass so im a bigger guy.... what would you recommend.... backing off the cardo, doing less reps with more weight, eating a lot of protean spaced out 6 times a day, and taking suplements (if so what suplements) or.... continue my cardo, get toned more by doing more reps with less weight.... then start to build mass as i do some cardo but focus on increased eating/weight on my presses thanks for the help amigo. any advise will rock. First off, try not drinking a case of beer every day. Now, I'm not the kineisiologist or whatever but I'd probably go with the 2nd one. More reps at lower weights will help you tone and burn some of that extra fat around the edges. This is what I do to condition for baseball. Keep up with cardio no matter what though. And you just can't stress water enough. Keep water with you all the time. I'm 6'4, 185 btw. Oh, and bench pressing is WAY overrated. It helps you in no way whatsoever. When are you going to be able to push off of a wall in real life? Never. If you want to improve core strength, do squat presses.

QUOTE(ShoeLessRob @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) As I'm recovering from that alex homer ... the boo's settle in for Anderson, he's got to go. His suckiness is magnified due to the bad stretch the team is on. If we can turn it around, his defense is too valuable.

Boy, Anderson really sucks right now.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 06:21 PM) Wow, I think I broke the system. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, it started giving me the exact same confirmation code like 20 times in a row. Then like 10 votes later, it decided my name was Colin Tremblay and I was born in 1992 (I even got Colin Tremblay's email address and zip code filled in.) -
LMAO at the Schedule Makers.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Jun 6, 2006 -> 04:47 PM) Tigers and Sox can't both lose today. Sox have gotta win. For your sig: 3) Todd Ritchie
