  1. I just want to add, that on top of a Bears victory, I was in Packer land (NE Wisconsin and the UP of MI) on a hunting trip and they are disgusted at their team's suckiness and are jealous of the Bears' success. They remind me of Cubs fans. I overheard a bitter cheesehead (owner of restaurant) saying "Man, their head coaches name is Lovie...yeah, Lovie." Ha.....haha.
  2. WOOWOO! Fishing! We go fishing in Wolf Lake here in Chicago often. I go fly-fishing in Wisconsin. I got fishing for catfish on the Rock River, Fox River, Kankakee, Illinois River, Vermillion River, and Mississippi River's often. What else....I go to Fay Lake/Long Lake in Wisconsin often. Never gone salt-water fishing yet but I will be going in April when I go to Alaska. Biggest fish caught yet: 57 lb Flathead Catfish
  3. Can we make the PTBNL Timo instead???
  4. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 23, 2005 -> 08:47 AM) Does Illinois still have that patchwork of seasons? One for shotgun, one for blackpowder, one for archery, etc.? To stop the debate on which state produces the best tasting venison, I will offer, at no cost to y'all, a taste testing. Y'all send me, (frozen & overnighted), the best roast from your deer, and after tasting them all, I will announce a winner. Remember, state pride and all, so send me the choisest cut Haha, I'll be sure to send you a nice back-strap of doe that I will hopefully kill. LOL. I'm leaving in a few hours on a 5 1/2 hr journey to the Upper Peninsula. I'll post a report with pictures on monday hopefully.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 22, 2005 -> 07:14 AM) If you don't feel inclined to put me in the Chat Crew, well, that's messed up. I led that b**** most of the year my friend. "led" ???? Not so much. My apologies kind sir....BTW, I am planning an off-season chat crew meeting so if you want to arrange that (not this week), it would be cool. What do ya think? EDIT: Peep that sig now beeyotch!

  8. QUOTE(Brian @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 09:40 PM) Just.bring.it Oh it's already been broughten!
  9. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) Camden will be nice when Rutgers finishes taking it over like it did with New Brunswick. Wha?????
  10. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) hey shut the f*** up, my team the packers are playin, and r gonna win and will catch the bears ... a ha
  11. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:48 PM) He's pretty damn good with a bow. I think my Dad stepped it off to be 47 since his stride is about a yard. He was using his landowners tag and shot the deer in his cashmere sweater and penny loafers. He just decided he wanted to try. LMAO. That is f***ing awesome. I wish it was that easy.
  12. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) You're right. My parents should have moved to Chicago so I'd have a hometown NFL team to cheer for. Those f***ers had no idea what they were doing living in Iowa. I, too, am a moderate Colt's fan. But the Bears are my pride football team. I like the Falcons and Panthers too.
  13. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:45 PM) It was 50 yards with a bow.....he just missed low. 50 yards!?!?! Why would you even attempt that shot? Could he have called it in with a bleat call or at least waited it out?
  14. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:41 PM) Yes....it was shot in the leg and it hit an artery...my uncle figures it was going to go to coyotes or would die anyway soon so he wanted it to go down humanely. Nope. First weekend in December I'll be in my stand by 5:55 AM. I skip school Wednesday and I'll be in a stand by 5:30 AM Monday morning. A friend of the family killed a nice 8 point in my stand last week and saw a bigger 8 point that he passed up. I'll post pictures of it on Monday.... Oh, and your uncle shooting a deer in the leg? Not too smart.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:39 PM) I'm not interested in watching the Bears at all....they should be off of Fox. Go walk into a cornfield or something. Your just jealous because the Iowa......uuum, wait, what pro football team does Iowa have? Oh yes, they have the Iowa Barnstormers in the Arena League....
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) My uncle shot it with a bow Saturday nite and tracked it til dark but couldn't find it. There was five of us who were out at 7:30 Sunday morning. We were ready to quit at 8:30 but I spotted it. My uncle finally got the deer at 12 or so. Nice...but what about you? Have you gone out at all?
  17. QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:34 PM) Opportunities for hunting near home are non existent for city dwellers. Chicagoans (the city proper) have a huge opportunity for fishing in their backyards. But, as a percentage of the population, you will find more hunters in rural and semi-rural areas than on the 25th floor of a downtown condominium. That isn't to say there are not anti-hunters in Manhattan, Illinois and avid hunters in Manhattan, New York. Of course. What is understood need not be said. Of course their are hunters and fisherman in Chicago (3 of which being me, my father, and grandfather) but generally, Chicagoans are not outdoorsman.
  18. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 08:12 PM) I can't really do grades, its such a short season and its so hard to tell based on a players stats. Often times a player is simply in the fall league to work on one aspect of his game and because of that his overall numbers suffer. I just don't think it would be fair. For example Tracey was working on developing another pitch and therefor was working on his secondary pitches and the new pitch a lot more, which is why his numbers were a lot worse than usual. I wish I knew what all of them were working on and I'll try to ask around to find out cause I think that would be really informal. f***ing slacker. I kid because I care Used without consent....what you want!?!?!?
  19. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Helped track a doe yesterday. Ate it last nite. Have you gotten out yet or did someone else shoot the doe?
  20. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
  21. And to think, I was considering going to Rutgers @ Camden....
  22. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) Nice av by the way. LC...YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! The show blows hard but Kristin > LC and I am prepared to physically fight over that with anyone.
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 21, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) man I hate to break the news to you but washing your shirt has nothing to do if they win or not lol..... so for the sake of the people around you please wash that shirt Obviously your not supersticious. During the White Sox playoff streak, I wore the same pants and shirt for every game and never washed them and look how that turned out!
  24. QUOTE(Some Auusie @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 04:28 AM) Jamal Lewis >>>> a holded out Benson and Thomas Jones. Ravens O-Line >>>> Bears O-Line Ravens D >>>> Bears D. A very good defense the Bears may have, but they may be on the field so much in games, they'll be stuffed by the 4th quarter, and teams could just run over them. That's why it's so important, the offense can at least control the football. QUOTE(Starts with H ends with ammerhead @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) Vasher shouldn't be starting for anybody. He's good against the run, but god damn, from everything that I have witnessed, he can't cover for s***. Yep, the Bears have major holes in terms of depth at CB and LB. And that's why they're not in my elite 4: New England Jacksonville Buffalo Carolina Teams like the Eagles, Ravens, Bears, Jets, etc have some serious star power in their starting units, but if numerous guys get injured, well, you know how it goes. Depth prevails. QUOTE(a certain Admin from Iowa @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 10:26 PM) The Bears will not go above .500. I'm confident of that. ^ Sig bet with Jas... Lots of gems in this thread!
  25. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 10:01 PM) Its BS, they should be able to play in the elements. Exactly. this warm-weather Super Bowl s*** takes away from the nitty-gritty charachteristics of football. Have a Super Bowl here in Soldier Field one year...
