  1. Were these mo'fo's wrong or what... http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation...tion12234=50585
  2. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 07:00 PM) Beat you to it.
  3. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) Yeah, god forbid we sign a .295 left-handed #2 hitter. Switch-hitter
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) Does not count DARN IT! I thought hard to get those!
  5. 5) united 6) state(s) 7) of 8) america
  6. I'll try to listen in. Anything to get the Sox juices flowing in the off-season.
  7. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 06:26 PM) 13. At Yeah I take all the hard ones.. Oh yeah, a toughy.
  8. I am very surprised at the lack of Prison Break love.
  9. Talk about ripping the s*** out of someone.
  10. This would be a travesty to the game of baseball... I photoshopped Frank in a Twins uni and it almost made me cry.
  11. QUOTE(Soxy @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 12:26 AM) Oh yeah, I've gotten better about not wanting to pick a fight, but once in the Walmart an ex of mine literally had to drag me away from this woman. Literally, pullling both of my arms and dragging me away (probably the closest I've ever come to getting arrested). I've found I get much more satisfaction saying something nice to the kid, although I sitll get physically ill after watching that. I hate people. I hate you too! :Runs off like a girl:
  12. Prison-f***ing-Break And the Sunday night lineups on Fox (Simpsons, War at Home, Family Guy, American Dad)
  13. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) Almost anything you could ever imagine I'd probably eat. Spam(fake meat, not SS2k's post count ) fried in oil, and then made into a sandwich with lettuce, cheese, and mayo is pretty awesome. And then I like to eat just regular green olives too. I love Spam right out of the can with good ole' bread....mmmm.
  14. QUOTE(Frank the Tank 35 @ Dec 2, 2005 -> 01:00 AM) Lately I've become kinda fascinated by hitters' averages when hitting behind in the count as Gooch was often asked to do last year hitting behind Pods. Pierre's career BAs when: 0-0: .332 0-1: .309 0-2: .262 (pretty good) 1-2: .233 (what's up with that?) 2-2: .286 3-2: .365 1-0: .326 2-0: .324 2-1: .318 I don't understand the average in the 1-2 count, as in how the heck is it better than the 0-2 count? Just an interesting tidbit. I kinda like my Brady Clark idea from the who's next thread, but it all depends on what each person would cost in terms of players. BA would be fine too, but I'm just thinking in terms of a new #2 hitter. Did I miss something? .233 smaller than .262.
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:44 PM) I don't know what happened.. I couldn't move. I'm sure it will come as no shock to anyone here.. I am rarely at a loss for words.. The other customer said after the woman left that if she had hit the child they were going to step in... I think I would have called security or something. Had them follow her. I don't think I could have confronted her. Ya, look at your post count.
  16. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) That's nice and all. What about Juan Pierre? LOL. I meant Pierre in 1 of them.
  17. There is really nothing you can do. Unless she got physical with the child, I wouldnt have stepped in.
  18. Holy shiznit Goldy. Glad you came out ok. You never know with car accidents...
  19. That is pretty messed up Steff. Honestly, it is not your business but it was definitely right of you to be concerned. Unfit parents is all that is.
  20. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:28 PM) I never called Rowand an excellent or top tier player either though. I said that if Pierre's defense was as good as Rowand's, he would be an excellent player. I consider Pierre an excellent leadoff hitter but I don't think he's an excellent player because his defense in center field is shaky. And you guys shouldn't take offense to my opinions because I actually like Pierre. So then it's all cool. I like Pierre too and I think the addition of him (for the right price) would solidify another run at a WS ring. Pods, Pierre, Thome, PK, Dye, Gooch, AJ, Joe, and Juan....how sick is that lineup???
  21. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) it's not like they have any money? do they have money? I thought they were the team that was looking for bargain bin free agents. You killed it. Should have left that one alone.
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:19 PM) Or, SF1 misheard and they said Red Sox. That would be my guess. Nope, I am SURE he said White Sox.
  23. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) Wow, that wouldn't make much sense unless VAfan was right! Maybe the Sox did want Giles in LF, Podsednik in CF, and Dye in RF. Exactly, that would be some crazy s***. Now, don't hold me to this but I am pretty sure that he said the White Sox offered him a contract a bit bigger than San Diego's. What I don't know is if this is pre/post PK.
  24. I believe I just heard Jayson Stark say on XM-Radio that the White Sox offered Giles a contract before he re-upped with San Diego. Apparently, it was just a little more than what he got from San Diego. Can anyone confirm this?
