  1. I filled it out becausew of my dog. She ran away once but luckily, we found her down the block chilling in front of Walgreens. Supposedly, our type of dog is a runner but we only had 1 experience, luckily. Now she has her "outside" routine. This seems like cool product. Keep us posted kap.
  2. The worst ones are the ones that knock on your door every day...
  3. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) SoxFan, I think we going to have to agree to disagree on this one. Baseball fans are pretty split on this, though I suspect after one year most people (in AMerica at least) wont much care. After about three years, it will not even be the elite players on the team. Fine with me. Like I said, there is no right or wrong, it's just up to the players. I do agree with the bold statement though.
  4. You're not serious are you?
  5. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:30 PM) So when other countries start shooting guns in the air and rioting after their soccer team loses, are tey more patroitic? I would like to think that there are better ways than sports to represent your country. If not, should I only pull for Americans on the White Sox? Not necessarily, but they sure as hell put more effort into it. Either way, this is baseball not soccer so what's your point. Oh and by the way, soccer is the most popular sport in the world...period.
  6. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Why dont we call up Erik Kramer or Jim Miller and see what they're up to? Moses. Moreno.
  7. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) Why what happened? That was f***ing sweet. The only negative of the play was Berman's call: "A slow roller to Graffanino...OH NO! He tried flipping it to 2nd before he had the ball and all the runners advance!"
  8. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 06:00 PM) Maybe XFL is a bad example. But what if Jordan or a Dream Teamer got hurt in the Olympics. Even that example is a stretch because the Olympics matter. So your saying that it doesn't matter to the Cubans and the Dominicans and the Venezuelans and the Japanese to represent their country??? GMAFB. The sport of baseball doesnt have a Olympic team so this is all they get. I'm sorry to say but Americans are some of the least patriotic people on the Earth. As an athlete, the greatest thing you can achieve is to represent your country in your sport, no matter what the occasion. Not being an American myself, I know what it means to have pride in your countries sports teams. In 2002, when Yugoslavia won the FIBA Basketball World Championships and I was there to witness it live, it was one of the greatest moments I ever have and ever will experience. It was by far the proudest I have ever been as a Serbian. Americans are spoiled....I am sorry but this is just my perspective. To argue that representing your country doesn't matter is absurd.
  9. QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:51 PM) The problem I have with this is that these players signed a countract to play with an MLB team. If an NFL player played for the XFL (I know it doesn't exist anymore) and it ended his career, he is screwed. While the XFL or arena football at least pays money, what does WBC get you besides a longer season? A lot of people can lose there job or money if they get injured doing something not part of there job. It is a bad proposition. ... But that's just my opinion. Dude, they are representing their country in a tournament. This is the greatest honor an athlete can achieve. And you cant compare the XFL with the WBC because the XFL was actually a league. It would be like comparing the NFL to the CFL. The best comparison is with the World Baseketball Championships. The player has the right to choose and after just winning a world series, they have a little leeway. Personlly, I have no problem with it. Of course, I would be pissed if they got hurt but I would be pissed if they got hurt in ST too. It's moot IMO. But, to each his own. There is no right answer or choice.
  10. Same here. Technically, he was with the White Sox in game 2 of the ALDS so...
  11. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) i think grandstand does it. Do you know how much. I feel weird walking around with a Shingo jersey on now lol.
  12. Staying on the topic of jerseys, does anyone know where I can get my Shingo jersey changed to a PK jersey?
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:39 PM) i'd also be upset if someone got hurt in spring training. what's your point? ^ That's about it. You just never know what can happen so you really can't question the WBC. Same as the basketball world championships. It's not in our hands. Get over it. Like I said in the Freddy G thread, any player would be honored to play for their country. If the get injured, sorry. Whose to say they wouldn't get injured in Spring Training. Whose to say they dont fall down the steps at their home and break an arm. You just never know, it's a moot point for anyone to argue. Like Greasy said, congrats to Tad, Freddy, and Mark.
  14. Holy s***...is it just me or is the Met's mascot a clone of Bobby Valentine?
  15. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Dec 5, 2005 -> 05:14 PM) That would be a terrific sign for the Pirates. They need bats and he gives them upside in their offense and would give them a guy who can generate buzz and sell tickets Agreed. He would be just the thing they need in Pittsburgh to spark attention. But if he signs with Cleveland, it's hit or miss. Oh, and CF is by far the toughest outfield position.
  16. There was a thread on this a while back. I believe it was hi8is who introduced it. Really cool. It's kida like Tivo...it'll play the stuff you want.
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) Except Time Dwight has a lot more experience and success at returning punts than Eddie Berlin. Berlin has only returned 7 punts in his 5 year NFL career and all were in '04, he gained 26 yards off those returns (3.7avg). Dwight has returned 152 punts over his 8 year NFL career, he's gained 1500 yards off those returns (9.9avg) + 3 tds. Totally different players. They're both fast white guys....same!
  18. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 05:29 PM) I think the Bears will draft a WR (the wrong one; e.g. Dez White) or probably trade down for multiple picks. It's the Jerry Angelo school of thinking. Dez White was a 4th round pick. At that point in the draft, it is shoot-and-see. Bad example. A better example is David Terrell.
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Dec 4, 2005 -> 07:52 PM) It depends on how he feels, if he feels he can go out there and not reinjur himself, then there's a damn good chance we'll be seeing a speedy little white guy returning punts next week. See: Tim Dwight
  20. I voted Timo just because I hope he is moved.
  21. I think we are all being too selfish. He is a countryman first and a White Sox player 2nd. I'm sure most would accept the offer to play for their country. I am somewhat concerned but definitely won't lose sleep.
  22. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) I know The Hawk mentioned it a few times during the season, and I tend to agree with him, it seems that FG just does not focus in some games. He tends to get really sloppy with his pitches, pitches behind in counts, etc... in some non "big games" but yeah, i agree, whatever was working in game 4, let's keep that going Yup, he'll have all the momentum on his side when the season starts!
  23. QUOTE(SoxFan562004 @ Dec 3, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) Heard somewhere, I believe on ESPN Radio today, that Royals are also in the lead for Jaque Jones at 3/15 Only 5 per year? WTF! Perhaps KW can clear some room (Marte) and pick Jones up. I wouldn't mind having him in LF....or in center actually.
  24. Wow, thats Jabroni?!?! I never would have guessed. He did an excellent job disguising it and I do agree new Jabs > old.
