  3. I love how he takes a shot at Clement yet when he was on the Cubs, every Cub fan thought he was the next ace in the MLB and they all wore his goatee s***.
  4. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) I'm an idiot because I think Frank's number will be retired? Yeah, that makes sense.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) Im sorry, Soxfan1, you were saying...... I'll eat every single bit of s***, crow, ass, etc. that I have to. I was naive and pissed! EDIT: God damn was I wrong.
  6. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) ^^What he said. ^^^What he said that he said.
  7. I'll admit, I wanted Joe badly. Except I wanted Joe Randa not Joe Crede. Meh, worked out for the better. Oh, and BTW, Geoff Blum is the greatest deadline trade in MLB history...
  8. Yes and no, pretty much the same as everyone else. While the Sox were in the division push and then in the playoffs, I did zero hw, never cleaned my room, etc. It was sickening. And as I celebrated the day they won it, I thought 'No, it's over. It can't be over. WTF!" The sleep I got during the playoffs was the BEST 4 hours nights of sleep EVAR!
  9. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 09:05 PM) Ozzie is now a shoe-in with other greats such as Frank and Herbert. Read this and then the big blue letters in your sig....
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) ^^^^^^^ His slam was my favorite play in Sox history. Same here.
  11. bumper sticker, sticker in back windshield, liscence plat cover.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 12:45 PM) The biggest size I've seen is XX at Sportmart downtown. Damn those are some big boys. I wear 2XL. Tall people wear big sizes too.
  13. QUOTE(DePloderer @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 12:19 PM) Happy to help keep the English language alive and strong. I am however interested in those Cooter mints, never tried them. Are they used to make your breath smell of Cooters?
  14. QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) Don't you dare suggest trading Pods Lisa Dergan ::Google Search::
  15. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:51 AM) EXACTLY. But because people loves Pods so much, you need to have 2 good run producers in the other OF spots. You can't have both Pods and Rowand if Rowand's offense stays on a 2005 level. If he can hit like he did in 2004, he'll be here for a long, long time. Sure didn't hurt having the 05 Pods and the 05 ARow this year did it. And you better eat some mad crow for dissing Pods before the playoffs started with your yadda yadda he's a LF'er with no power bs. 2 HR's in 12 postseason games, 0 in 162 regular season games. Dont tell me how many you hit, tell me when you hit them. God damn I am pumped!!!!!!!
  16. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:47 AM) I never said "I wanted" to trade Jon. I said the Sox could look into that possibility if Konerko left, if they needed a trade option. As for Aaron, yes I know everyone loves his defense. But can you sit here and tell me a .736 OPS in a hitters park and a 116/32 K/BB ratio is good? And thank you for the compliment. Any time. It just seems as if you'd rather dismantle the team that won the World Series rather than keep them intact and improve. Not that that's a bad thing Mr. Gm.
  17. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) Isn't that the "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme? Yup. They replaced Thunderstruck with that song I believe.
  18. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:42 AM) Burnitz, haha that's a good one. Like a fine wine, he's only going to get with age like Vinny Castilla right? He hit 24 HR's in a ballpark that's excellent for LHH power hitters. He's only going to get worse, not better. And don't forget Jacque Jones is absolutely HORRIBLE against lefties, which means you need a good platoon OF. Frank and Jones won't put up 65 HR's like Carl and Paulie did this season. I know everyone wants Thomas back, because everyone loves him, but Cheat's posted the stats, when he comes back from a major injury, first season back, he's not that good. Anderson's a better defender, and unlike Borchard, he's actually hit for a good average in the minor league levels. He should be playing everyday, not sitting on the bench and coming in for a pinch hit once a game. And knight, don't forget the Sox hold an 07 option on Rowand's contract. They could easily decide not to pick that up and give Anderson CF, or they could trade Rowand to the Yanks before then. If you ever became the White Sox GM, I would shoot myself in the foot. What would be the point of getting rid of Aaron? And Jon?
  19. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) Before. D'OH! I missed them.
  20. I am pretty sure there is a reason KW chose Dye over Burnitz last off-season...
  21. The replay is on now. Were they before or after Clooney?
  22. I'm not a big Lyons fan. But everytime I think about this offseason it depresses me. Just knowing that PK, Rooney, and Frank might all be gone just pisses me off. We won a world series 2 nights ago, we should be enjoying this but in the MLB, the work is never done.
  23. QUOTE(knightni @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:11 AM) Depending on the $$ involved, I'd be interested in Piazza as a backup catcher with AJ and part time DH with Frank. Widge. En. A. Tor. Period. We don't need more people trying to hit on Podsednik...
  24. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:13 AM) Okay, I found it. Thanks. http://www.suntimes.com/output/worldseries...t-deluca28.html No prob.
  25. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 29, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) I haven't heard or read anything about it. Who specifically reported this? Bruce Levine? I do not know the specifics but from what I hear, this was reported in one of the papers...
