  1. I can just imagine having a picture of someone photoshopping green seats on.... ::Goes and tries:: Pics soon
  2. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 08:47 AM) The search is back off. I am going to create an index that will allow the search to work against a back up database that should allow for easier access. It won't be for a little bit, though. I have a lot going on. Bulls***. SoxTalk is your #1 priority damn-it!

QUOTE(Steff @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) I was like.. "damn.. that's a LOT of posts.. " Till I looked at my #. You absolutely dwarf my numbers lol. But ss2k5 makes us all look like we spend very little time on here at all.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:25 PM) Spammer... Congrats. Speaking of witch... (like the Halloween pun, he he) Feel's good to be part of Soxtalk's elite.
  5. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:44 PM) Pie is not ready to be in the majors yet if he is their starting CF they are going to be making the same mistake with him as they did with Corey Patterson. You would know... :rolly
  6. I was thinking, with the impact of guys like Tadhito Iguchi, Ichiro Suzuki, and Hideki Matsui, and Shingo Takatsu for 1 year, who will be this year's big Japanese signing? I remember reading about a certain OF slugger and a starter/reliever or 2. Anyone have any info on Japanese imports for this season?
  7. QUOTE(keninem @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) The Bears, also, have a perfect record in SB appearances. I'm sorry but the commas you use are totally unnecessary and quite frustrating.
  8. I have a hunch, as did 31 other people, that he would be bought out and resigned. He seems satisfied with the title and I think he would take less dough.
  9. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:21 PM) I think Pie is their best bet instead of Patterson. i would unload patterson if I was them. I dont see the cubs getting any of the top FA's, just based on some of their track records. That explains it. I thought Pie was in infielder.

    10 Grand!

This is my moment of glory. Seems to be a trend to make your own 10,000 post topic so I made one as well. Let me gloat............................... 10 grand! Woot woot!
  11. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Bernie to the Rangers he said because he wants to play DH full-time, he could do that in Texas and he loves Buck. Giles to the Cubs he said without much thought, but didn't really give an explanation. Ah, ok. Thanks for the explanation. Makes sence. But I thought Giles was close to inking back with the Pads? From what I know about the Cubs (not much honestly), they have Patterson, Murton, and Ben Grieve in the OF and Burnitz is a FA. Those are some big holes. Grieve is an overpayed stinker, Patterson is, well, Patterson, and Murton is an up and coming prospect I believe. Giles is definitely an upgrade but do they have enough to lock up Furcal and Giles PLUS the contracts of Ramirez, Lee, and the starters. Hmm.
  12. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) Rather than start a new thread, I just want to post three names I think the Sox ought to, or perhaps, will look at. Listed in order of assumed probability: Kevin Mench Austin Kearns Adam Dunn Now, of course, I want to see Paulie signed through whatever means necessary. These three names are names that can either a) assume full-time DH esponsibilities, or b ) platoon DH esponsibilities with the newly re-signed Frank Thomas. Thoughts on this, Cheat and co.? I don't know about Mench. He seems like a sleeper guy who might get a bunch of money some where under the radar. He was super-clutch against us and I think it would be a good deal. A big "meh" on Kearns. Dunn, now there is an impact pick-up. He would hit 50+ easy at the Cell.
  13. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 06:07 PM) Gammons was on Dan Patrick today and I'll try to recap where he said he thought players would go: Brian Giles - Cubs Rafael Furcal - Cubs PK - White Sox BJ Ryan - Mets Bernie Williams - Rangers Billy Wagner - Phillies Nomar - Dodgers (as an OF) Johnny Damon - Red Sox That's all I can remember for now. Odd. I wouldn't expect Bernie to the Rangers or Giles to the Cubs but I certainly like the bold writing! Johnny Damon, btw, is not staying in Boston. Just a hunch.
  14. f***ing sweet. Just downloaded them on my phone with sound and all so I can watch them in school if I get bored. Hell yeah!
  15. QUOTE(rangercal @ Oct 31, 2005 -> 12:00 AM) I luvvvvv the search feature Ouch, let me go and cry. :rolly
  16. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) I say give the rings out in the 1st game of the Cubs series..... Might just be the best idea in the history of the world!

    Any good videogames?

I'm not a big an of live. The features are cool and the soundtracks are usually f***ing awesome but the players look like they are skating, not running.
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 11:45 PM) This is the thread...... He started his own then one of the mods placed it here...
  21. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 30, 2005 -> 11:40 PM) PWNED.
