Yeah, that game sucked ass. But that was the year the M's won 116 right?

Well. This kinda sucks. Marte was trade bait and now he isn't. But why Walker with his 15.00 ERA!

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) Jackson is #1 in the D-Backs system. McCarthy is #1 int the Sox system. I don't think it really matters what position they play. But the fact that both teams need bullpen held does matter. McCarthy can be used out of the bullpen, Jackson cannot. -

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) Everett is the best OF the Sox have to offer that's ML ready, and he also happens to be left handed, something that was specifically written into what the Marlins were asking for. As for the MR, I'd hope that one of those two would get the job done, and with any luck they could. Beyond them, maybe put in Baj? The problem is that we have NO clue if Burnett would re-sign long-term and if he did, would his injuries re-occur. -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) McCarthy not Anderson. No no, Jackson is a fielder so I compared him to the Sox top fielder prospect... -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:47 AM) The D-Backs are in contention and need bullpen help. Why would there ever be a bigger trade and what would it be?!? Would it not be fair to assume that if a D-Back's fan included Anderson into a conversation and was then shot down because the Sox are in contention and need bullpen help? Think about it long and hard. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) Once again, why mention Conor Jackson if you didn't think he was a viable trade option. You probably thought we could get him for Shingo or Vizcaino. Why else would you mention his name? :rolly Exactly. :rolly Are you serious? :headshake -
After reading how the D-Backs need bullpen help and how their scouts were at the games...it would be a fair assumption that Shingo or Jizzcan or Marte would be traded and Baj would be brought up.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:32 AM) Connor Jackson is their top prospect I beleive: http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/app/mil...milb&pid=433582 6 HR, 58 RBI, .373 AVG, .463 OBP!!! Now tell me Jabroni or Milkman...where in this post do I say the Sox will get him in retur for Jizzcan or Shingo. I was simply putting it out there and that if a bigger trade does evolve, he might be talked about. Clueless? Hardly. :headshake -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) I doubt we're getting their top prospect for Shingo or Vizcaino. Seriously, settle down. How bout you settle down there. I never said we were gonna get him for Shingo or Jizzcan or that I even thought we were interested. I was simply putting it out ther that he is their top prospect and he's f***ing awesome. -

They have some previous MLB'ers in AAA. Matt Kata, Randy Choate, Matt Herges, and I think Armando Almanza. -
Personally, I use Rooq Exquisite. Only thing is that it is hard to read the green.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:25 AM) I would have said Alex Cintron in the past but Ozuna is showing that he is a quality utility man for us. He still isn't good at 3rd base though. Maybe Kenny would want Cintron to play 3rd base for us? Or it could be what I already said. Maybe Kenny wants to get a couple prospects for a guy like Vizcaino who is the last pitcher in our bullpen so he could package them up with some of our prospects and obtain a starting pitcher like Schmidt. That could be the case, too. Sweetening a deal for another player. Didn't we do that for Everett the 1st time? -

Perhaps KW is looking at Alex Cintron or Craig Counsell? You never know. As far as pitchers, Halsey, Webb, Vazquez, and Valverde woyld be the only guys I would consider. -

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) He usually bats 5th in the lineup. That hurts his chances because he doesn't come up with guys on as much. You need at least two men to get on in front of him for him to bat in the first inning, meaning he bats first or second in the 2nd more often. I know that that's only the first inning, but that counts for about a quarter of his at bats. I didn't think of it that way. That is very true. He might not always get AB's woth the top of the order in the same inning. He probably leads off the 2nd quite a lot. Kinda like Bonds when he batted 4th. He led off the 2nd and 4th/5th inning often. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Aurillia is not their primary two hole hitter... not even close. He is hitting .250 with men on and .189 with men in scoring position. Men not being on is not the case in this situation. Then what is it? -

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Diamondback scouts huh, sounds about time to take a look at that Vazquez contract. '05 - $10.5 - $3M = $7.5 '06 - $11.5 - $3M = $8.5 '07 - $12.5 - $3M = $9.5 $3M a year payed for by the yankees. Not gonna happen. They are in the thick of it in the NL West at 39-39 and only 3.5 GB. -

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 12:07 AM) The reds not the sox. Since you seem to believe no one gets on in front of dunn. Oh, I dunno the Reds order but if he did have more people in front of him on base, he would have more than 39 RBI's. Lopez, Aurilia, Casey, Randa: 350/300/372/371 Thats actually pretty good lol. Then you tell me why he only has 39 ribbies! lol
