But the ASG isn't about preivous performance unless Torre is managing. Loaiza: 3-5, 3.63 ERA, 94.1 IP, 73 K, 28 BB, 1.33 WHIP, 1st Place Not great at all but good numbers. He got extremel unlucky in all his losses.

The Gigantic all encompassing TRADE THREAD
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) Maybe the groin and back injuries played some part in the poor defense? Hard to say. Seems like it. That blooper from Polanco in the 1st inning last night showed he was still a little tight. He couldn't really explode to get the ball. But, he still got a 3B so I'm happy!

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) Twinks. Some alien named Leo Nunez couldnt hold them down and they had about 6 hits in a row in the 7th or 8th. f***. Why didn;t they keep Sisco in? Pena > Buddy Bell. BTW, this discussion about Contreras is simple. He has confidence issues. He gave up the bomb to Ramirez on a hanging forkball after he threw a forkball in the dirt. HAVE FAITH IN YOUR f***ING PITCHES AND LET AJ CALL THE GAME!

The Gigantic all encompassing TRADE THREAD
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) Did ESPN suddenly have a different attitude last year when we acquired Garcia, who was the #1 pitcher on the trading block until we grabbed him? True but Schmidt > Garcia and 05 Sox > 04 Sox.

All Star Game Starter
QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) Although that is true, doesn't anybody think that Halladay being a former Cy Young winner will factor into the decision? Loaiza is having a great season and deserved the Cy Young that year. The Nats are in 1st place...does that make him an All-Star? In my view, their numbers are too similar and the fact that we have the best record in the league gives him an edge.

Hermanson may miss some time in the near future...
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 01:10 PM) Thought and Prayers go out to Dustin and his family. For sure. We'll all for Hermy's family. BTW: I didn't knwo the Magic # was already down to 80. Last I remember it was like 109!!!!!!

14lb newborn
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) You were fat. They gave my mom a small champaigne bottle with my name, weight, and date on it. I was the fattest baby ever born in South Chicago Hospital. I'm not sure if that record stands anymore though.

THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!
6 out of 9 K's were looking for Robertson. This had some to do with the Ump behind home plate.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Updated from my 2 minutes of thinking. 100% Chance: Buehrle, Garland 75% Chance: Hermanson, Konerko 50% Chance: Politte 40% Chance: Podsednik 10% Chance: Everett, Iguchi(unless B.Roberts is hurt) Better.....and I agree with all those. PK's HR's and RBI's get him in as a reserve amd Hermanson's ERA and saves gets him in. Politte needs to continue on at his stellar pace and Podsednik needs to raise his AVG and SB to get in. Everett is a long shot. Iguchi gets in if they take 3 2B (Roberts, Soriano, Gooch) or if 1 of them is hurt.
