The money quote from the story:

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 06:25 PM) I'd say being a senior citizen is the worst impairment one can have. Worse than, say. . . BLINDNESS?!?? HELLOOOO!!?
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) Speaking of surveillance cameras, how are the ones that America's Funniest Home Videos installed in your bedroom working out? I kid, because I can If they throw the Benny Hill theme music on top of whatever they caught on tape it'll be a network smash hit.
-
QUOTE(SnB @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 01:03 PM) please, the sox cameras pretty much follow me around. Security surveillance doesn't count.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 11:35 AM) BTW, I've been hoping for a five ballot floor fight at the convention. I want lots of secret backroom deals, accusations, dirty tricks, the whole deal. So THAT'S how that big tub of goo Ruben beat my boy Clay on American Idol, huh?

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 13, 2008 -> 07:44 AM) I didnt think the Abomination looked great, but all I ever wanted in a Hulk movie is a "Hulk Fight! Hulk Smash!" scene. Seeing them lock eyes and start charging each other was awesome, especially with the Hulk roar right before he charged. I dont expect the world of comic book movies, I want to be entertained and I dont want the character to be different than how I know him/her in the comics. I actually appreciated the Ang Lee version for his attempt at making it look like a comic. I just think he was misguided in presenting the story as a love story/ bruce banners father soap opera. But I thought Sam Elliott was great as the general and Jennifer Connelly is smokin hot and was great as the heartbroken love interest. Just not enough firepower to make it look like the Hulk had any problems dealing with the US army. Its going to be awesome seeing him go up against somethign as formidable as himself. I also give Ang Lee props for the visual aspects of the first film. All I wanted was purple pants for the Hulk, and I got them!
-
QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 11:16 PM) I realize that the Ang Lee/Eric Bana one sucked, but why make another one so soon? Is it a sequel or something? Yeah, sort of. A sequel of the Ang Lee film was always planned, and it was going to be Grey Hulk, but then Marvel Studios decided to buy back the righst and do the next film themselves in a very different style. This film is supposed to have continuity with the first one, but Edward Norton's revised screenplay includes a lot of origin flashback so the film is going to be sort of a sequel/reboot hybrid. Supposedly this film will borrow heavily from the tone and style of the old TV series which I really didn't much care for when it came out. Hulk looks good in the trailer, but I dislike the updated abomination from what i can see in the trailer. I also see that Robert Downey is going to cameo in this film as Tony Stark,so having some actor continuity in the new slate of films will be good. I assume that means both Downy and Norton will reprise their roles for th Avengers film when it comes out.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 10:48 PM) You are all girls. Piss behind a dumpster in an alley like a man. The SSI parade is the only time of year where public urination is completely legal. Take advantage. Those were the times I was always happy my Bro's place is on 101st and Oakley. I think he had 200 people over throughout the day on Sunday and I'm sure every last one of them stopped in to use the head first and to say hi second.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 10:52 PM) Everyone keeps talking about all the wonderful things that pot does, yet almost no one wishes to mention any negatives. Certainly there are serious negatives to consider. Chief among them, in my own apartment back in college, pot was the number one cause of chronic shortages of Doritos AND Funions.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) http://www.nypost.com/seven/03122008/news/...ley/photo01.htm Pics of Spitzer's hooker, identifed as Ashley Dupre. If that is a "seven dimaond girl", then the business must not be great. I'm underwhelemed. The NYT article says she wasn't a 7-star: -

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 01:14 PM) Not surprising. I was watching a report on these sorts of scandals and according to the experts the individual usually hates that part of themselves and goes overboard trying to kill it. Kind of like making some cosmic amends. They can all forget the cosmic amends and just keep it zipped up. -

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 01:13 PM) Unless it's a very wide stance. With a little hand play under the stall. Oh wait, wrong political party. Senator Widestance (R-Idaho) falls into exactly that same hypocritical lot. Soliciting gay airport stall sex is less reprehensible than the self-hypocritical rabidly anti-gay rights position he espouses in his professional life away from the airport bathrooms. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 12:45 PM) ....Mary Ann from Gilligans Island wouldnt be in trouble. Wait, what is this thread about? Let the Marry Anne on Mary Jane jokefest begin. And looking at that mug shot a damn one of those Castaways aged gracefully, did they? Stilll it could be worse, she could have had Bob Denver's size 23 old man ears.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 12:35 PM) I don't have to play it to know what it is. Sometimes I think a man has stand on his own. I'd just want for it to have been her decision to be up there with him at that time. How any specific couple deals with broken trust and unfaithfulness is something wouldn't presume to be able to have an informed opinion on. Beyond the domestic side of it in this instance, what Spitzer did is every bit as hypocritical as any adulterous televangelist ever has and nothing short of his resignation would work. By day he'd be prosecuting people for the very same thing he was apparently already engaged in. What an arrogant hypocritical ass this Democratic "rising star" turned out to be. Pretty dang funny that the reforms he helped put in place regarding how the IRS tracks potential money laundering are precisely what brought him down. -
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 27, 2008 -> 05:19 PM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FzZWqYWhdQw Best gameshow moment ever? Marriage=over I would never in a bajillion years go on that show.

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 10:32 AM) Ferraro: "They're attacking me because I'm white" http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/03/11/fer...ents/index.html Barack Hussein Obama is so fortunate, so lucky to be a young, half-black man who went to a Muslim school in Indonesia, has a middle name that's the same as a dictator we recently took down, and has a last name that's one letter off from America's #1 enemy. That's the type of person America loves. No wonder its been easy for him! There seems to be more and more racism coming from Clinton's camp. It started with Billy boy in South Carolina, then her latino supporters in Texas, and now this. He also has Louie Farrahkan throwing in for him, and you know that's like gold for a candidate trying to be elected to office by mainstream America. Some guys get all the breaks.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 09:46 AM) For those of you thinking that Gov. Spitzer's undercover investigation was perhaps the greatest ever undertaken by an elected official or celebrity, I remind you of this specially deputized undercover narcotics agent and the President®* who made it possible. * just for Alpha Putting The King on the FBI drug task force was sheer brilliance. He kept untold quantities of pills off the streets. . . by taking them all himself. -
QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 12, 2008 -> 09:50 AM) For those of you wondering, Jim was just laying in bed, studying the posters on his ceiling . . . grow up old man . . . You've always been jealous of my vintage Tiger Beat collection. Pathetic.

Is it just me, or did Peter Gabriel circa 1971 look just damn like Kelly Leek from the Bad News Bears?

Ahhh, 2:30 am, and I just stepped outside in shorts and barefeet to watch a gorgeous early morning launch of the Shuttle Endeavor, on its way to the International Space Station. Sometimes I love living down here.

Chicken Ranch??

QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 03:14 PM) dude, tell me about it.... it's the Tri-state area killing us. can't it just be spring already?!?! Tex and FlaJim have no excuse. My excuse is that my wife is waffling in her own dieting commitment and now she's being a food temptress. I planned on having a plain chicken breast and some steamed veggies last night and instead I had a big honking chicken pot pie. If I don't lose at least 3 pounds this week it will be all her fault.

Soxy muses on Governor and prostitution prosecutor/solicitor Elliot Spitzer's current situation: QUOTE(Soxy @ Mar 10, 2008 -> 03:25 PM) It's all over the NYT and the Trib. Spitzer is totally f***ed. At least he won't have to pay for it this time. . . :lolhitting
