  1. Yes, because differing with George Bush on policy in any form clearly makes you not a Republican :rolly:
  2. As long as they get the same federal minimum wage standards guaranteed by the government for US Citizens, I'd be totally down with it. And they have to have an opportunity to become a permanent resident after x years.
  3. The last two graphs are pretty funny. The rest is bulls***.
  4. I don't think Hamas winning an election in Palestinan lands is a step backwards at all. Rice is right, it has enormous potential to be a big positive step for peace.
  5. I think a more generous guest worker program for Latin America would go a long way too. Especially if there was an opportunity to gain citizenship from it.
  6. QUOTE(knightni @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 03:37 AM) There are many Green Lanterns. Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner and John Stewart are the three from Earth. (Hal Jordan was the original I believe) The Wonder Twins were a "Super Friends Cartoon" idea. They have nothing to do with JL. (Except in later incarnations I just noticed) As per naming them, I'll pass. But, I do recommend the Justice League Unlimited episodes on Cartoon Network. Quality TV watching for animation. John Stewart went from the Green Lantern to The Daily Show? Is that a step down or a step up?
  7. God forbid someone should talk about the message rather than the messenger. Girls, you're both pretty.
  8. Didn't Scot McClellan wear a safety orange tie to the Press Conference on Monday to try and joke this off?
  9. Illegal immigration will not be a problem when we force our free trade partners to make worker's conditions closer to what we enjoy here.
  10. Cool. The source that was here originally was World Net Daily which is usually full o crap.

  12. Or you could withhold aid to Mexico until they make it better for Mexicans to stay in their own country.
  13. If the only place you can find this is on Insight or WorldNetDaily, I'm not buying it.
  14. Actually, isn't that why most of the people that were placed in Gitmo were finally sent home?
  15. Because there's a court battle to release those photos publicly. Because maybe there's a need for the public to see the worst as well as the best of what this battle we're fighting. Sunshine is the best disinfectant.
  16. Only in this forum can the Vice President shoot a 78 year old man and the media gets blamed. Kap, I know where you are with this, but I can't see why you wouldn't be at least a little concerned that the White House can't see itself fit to notify people when the VP accidentally shoots someone. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. If they'd just said something in the first place - we'd all have laughed and moved on by now. In fact if it wasn't for so many people blasting the media for being upset that they weren't informed about a shooting that didn't even have a police report filed on it for over 24 hours, when it involved the Vice President, we'd have already forgotten about this story.
  17. Yeah. They also would have holes if they pushed back to Bush's term in the early 90s or Reagan's presidency. But I guess that speaks volumes too.
  18. Exactly. Not to hype up anything but to misdirect attention away from their f***ups. And its our allies who are doing it.
  19. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) I hate to do this, because now I'm switching the topic back to Clinton. *sigh* - but it's an easy target. What about the whole Vince Foster mess? How long was it before that story broke? What about Monica? The only reason that kept going as long as it did is because the press secretary went out there and lied for months about what really happened. So now on this issue, incidentally, the sheriff was called pretty quickly, and the report's filed, yet OMG the MEDIA didn't know. STFU already. It's all about perspective. And as usual, the press corps want a piece of ass because they were 'scooped'. f*** them. I'm sorry, who killed Vince Foster? Last time I checked - even if you agree or disagree with the conspiracy theories, it wasn't Bill Clinton pulling the trigger. I don't care one way or the other what happened in that Quail patch. I'm reasonably certain it was an accident and that happens. But the White House owes the American people the respect enough to admit that it happened, not wait 24 hours until the ranch owner tips off the local paper and then hope that the AP doesn't pick up on it. Why? Because it breeds suspicion when the AP does pick up on it. Not just from people who are blindly anti-Bush or Cheney, but from just about anyone and everyone. I understand it's an embarrassing situation, but the Vice President DID shoot someone. If the White House wants to crow about our President's resting heart rate, they oughta be honest about incidents like these.
  20. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 08:10 PM) Naawwwww, they'd rather see him forced to resign. On the subject of the cover up, I don't know what the big deal is. Governments always try to cover up bad news. That's not entirely true. When George Bush Sr had to go to the hospital after collapsing in Camp David in 1990, the AP had a flash before the helicopter left Camp David. Did they think that nobody was gonna hear about this? In other news, I read that the heart attack was caused by buckshot entering his heart. That's gotta suck. This is rapidly becoming less funny and just more sad.
