***6/3/2006 Official Game Thread***
QUOTE(Felix @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 05:50 PM) ...which is why Uribe should be starting. Cintron should be a career pinch hitter for the pitcher in the National League.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 05:46 PM) Exactly, fans of other teams are allowed to be here as long as they're not trolls so knock it off with the 'go away' stuff because tigerfan isn't trolling. /cues the mod and admin "the more you know rainbow" //your friendly neighborhood mod ///loves slashies ////go sox! I'm still a bit irked by the first post I ever read by him being "YOU GUYS GOT LUCKY THERE!"

QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 3, 2006 -> 05:22 PM) You guys caught a lucky break there. Ball bounced right off the 2nd base bag and into center. go away

For all you chicken littles out there...
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 11:12 PM) So you're saying that Cintron is AAA SS who will never amount to anything? Some how I doubt this. Essentially.

For all you chicken littles out there...
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 2, 2006 -> 04:35 PM) SS (though I badly want Cintron in there) This will never happen, and for good reason. Cintron is Juan Uribe with less power, less strikeouts, less walks, more double plays, and much worse defense(he's not at all like Uribe and in fact, much worse). What Sox fans fail to realize is that we were trading equal value when we got Cintron for Baj.

9th Inning Tonight
QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2006 -> 02:34 PM) I'd much rather have a talented team that loses most of its games because of lack of execution, compared to a team with lesser talent who simply gets outplayed by the opposition. I can only think of about 5 games this season where we had no chance to win. Yeah, I made the comment in the chat that the Blue Jays series was the low-point of the season for the team because they simply didn't show up and I expected the team to really sky-rocket and go on a huge run after sweeping the Athletics(and they still grabbed one out of three). I think a lot of the doom and gloom from Sox fans comes from the Tigers being a little ahead of us more than how our team is performing, though I do think the team may be underacheiving just a tiny bit. Though the bullpen is struggling, I think our much improved offense(Jim Thome) is making up for that. A lot of people are talking about how we're not getting the little things done, but I don't think it's as far off as it was last year. I've seen games where we did the little things well and still inevitably lost. Likewise, I've seen games with poor execution that we won.

That's because Cintron isn't a very good or smart hitter.

CWS: Playoffs will be starting soon
Using an acronym such as "CWS" for something other than the Sox is bound to confuse more than just me.

oh my god. this is awesome 7 f***ing home runs? unreal. they're going to break the record,. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) Andruw Jones goes yard. Would be nice to have him on our team. 12HR and 47 RBIs right now. And have a 3-6 with 500 combined RBIs at the end of the year? sounds good.
