Is there a Baseball America Draft Preview?
MnSoxFan replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in FutureSox Board
Yes, I get it in the mail, and got it a week or two ago, has info on all the best prospects in all the states/regions. I assume it is on the stands, I know with a subscription I get it a bit earlier, but not sure how much. I think Drew from Fla State was on the cover, not positive. -

The latest BA one in print is good, not as good as online tho. -
Shafer, who I am guessing is another Duane Shafer kid, was rated 5th best prospect in state of Kentucky.
-
BA reported these 4 as Draft and Follow signings from last years draft CHICAGO-AL Rolando Acosta, ss, Pima (Ariz.) CC 41 Eric Everly, lhp, Olney Central (Ill.) JC 42 Dustin Shafer, ss, St. Catharine (Ky.) CC 43 Brandon Johnson, 2b, Crowder (Mo.) CC 44 Everly is the 10th rated player in state of Illinois, and there are 2 others we have not signed yet, LHP Travis Doyle from Grand Rapids, Mich JC (22nd round), is 10th rated prospect in Michigan, and Mitch Woolf, RHP from Southern Idaho JC (45th round) is 3rd rated prospect in Rocky Mountain region, and considered the 3rd best draft and follow prospect available.

Arnie makes one mistake, good game for Spidale, more great relief from Fields. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=15646

Miller with hard luck loss, big error by Gray, tho Gray and Young led offense with Daigle. Kanny loses yet again. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=10880 W-S loses 4-3, Mieses with the start. Offense led by AGon, Sweeney, Amador and Rogo http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=11776 Charlotte shut down 4-1, Borchard played and had a hit. Torres with a decent day. Kohlmeier had an ok start, Wunsch Kd all three batters he faced. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=14934
-
Figured he may have by now, I know he had not about a week or so ago.
-
2 more hits for Amador too, up to .290, but with 0 walks on season, his OBP is just a tad more than his batting average, I think he has 1 HBP.
-
I have discussed him with Rex some. We like him, he is quite fast, and showing a bit more pop with his bat this year, but he is far from being Pierre-like. He seems to be a very servicable OFer, maybe not a starter in majors, but a nice reserve, but who knows, he might be able to break out. I know he is accomplishing more this season than expected. But he did well for half seasons previously and then wore down, I think that is important to watch the 2nd half of the season, can he keep average up or does it end up sinking again.
-
Winston Salem getting shutdown bad again today, 5-1 in 7th, 5 run first for Myrtle Beach, that team really struggling with the bats lately.
-
Still in system, unable to make it out of rookie leagues. This will be his 4th season in rookie ball.

1st game, Ulacia with ok outing, great relief for Fields and Baj and Spidale had 2 hits and 2 RBI. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=15643 2nd game, 3 more hits for Spidale, Bullard and Allen crushed. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=15644

You take an everyday player over a pitcher as #1 pick unless he is like Prior.
-
Charlotte with sweep, Yofu with nice start, but pulled it seems, Majewski with save. Reed down to .280, Borchard still out. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=14647

Charlotte, Birm and W-S all with double headers tonight. Barons against the 1st place Cubs team, big games. Kanny has night off.
-
Grilli with 3-hit shutout and Torres with a double, triple, homer and 5 RBIs http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform...px?GAMEID=20770

Christman got hurt and stunk besides. Eddie Pearson was a horrible pick, he never got close to making it either.
-
Anderson 3 hits, but W-S loses on poor start for Lamura and worse relief for Purvis. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=11773

Glavine just signed as a FA with Mets, cannot trade a guy in first year of long term contract or he immediately becomes a free agent, correct?

I had read our 5th starters won 3 games in something like 27 starts last season. Brutal, may as well say we won none. -
Spidale, Morse and Bikowski each with 2 hits, pen fails Barons again. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=12285

W-S loses 6-1, Tracey reminds me of Wyatt Allen at W-S, too many walks etc... Sweeney with a double and the RBI. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=11817

Great start for McCarthy, Fabio with hold and Wasserman with save. 4-1 final. 2 hits and 2 RBI for Valido, and 2 hits, 1 walk and 2 runs for Gray. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=11202
