Jim, Jamie burke would have been my choice. Seems strange other than getting someone to put down a bunt or pinch run.

I remember that one game where they wanted Dransfeldt to bunt, it was a disaster.

Lay off of the guy, he's not that talented but he came up here and did some good (Other then booting that ball in Baltimore.)

I would be all about giving him another shot but we are stacked with infielders right now. Unless he can play 3rd to bench Crede's non-hitting ass then whats the point?

If Borchard hadn't tweakes his hammy I would guess the Sox would of called him up because he could fill in while Maggs is out.

I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that would need his services, but you never know who will get injured between now and when he is sent back down(june 12)

That would be a stupid thing to do.

 

Jose is hitting about 280 against LHP since April 7th, with a 350 OBP and 400 Slug. Considering it's the first time hitting lefty-on-lefty, I'll take those numbers even if he has a few things to improve.

 

Defense? All his errors total less runs (2 in NY and 1 in TB) than Kelly Dransfelt's 4-run error in Baltimore alone, and Kelly could dream of Jose's range and baserunning skillz.

 

You sit Jose against lefties and you risk distrupting his timing against righties - and he's your best hitter against them.

Kelly Dransfeldt got released from the AAA team here in Louisville last year and I find it humorous that he is even getting the chance to play with Chicago. He shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Manos Valentin.

Aboz, I couldn't have said it better myself. Plus KW has said he has no plans to trade any present member of the starting team, which includes Jose Valentin. Maybe they are showcasing Kelly Dransfeldt and Kelly Wunsch as a package? Makes as much sense as this drivil of trading Jose doesn't it?
