  1. its going to be one or the other, abreu or PK, and my money says we dont end up with abreu. wow you sure are looking ahead. i would think that since we just won a world series, we should maybe hang on to what we have and not clean house, like you are talking about.
  2. cubs suck. thy are obviously panicking right now. this is such a gross overpayment for a set up guy.
  3. have fun in 2006, landry! its nice to know that no matter how bad we do next year, at least the cubs will do worse!
  4. im sorry, why was the thread i just made about eyre signing with the cubs instead of us just yanked?
  5. 3 years, $11 million- to the cubs! idiots. just my opinion, but that is a gross overpayment. the cubs can have him for 11 mil. jesus, well at least we know who's not winning the NL central next year. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2227664
  6. haha, if JR did that he might be lynch mobbed
  7. stapp smokes obese rhino dong
  8. priceless
  9. right on! the packers do suck.
  10. hopefully we keep paulie and this is never an issue
  11. we are fools to trade rowand to the yanks. they got nothin'!
  12. agreed. when you are talking about bang for buck, eyre is not where it's at. i would honestly stick with marte rather than throw big money that could contribute to getting us a heavy bat.
  13. yes, i agree. wang is another flavor of the month. the yanks throw millions at anyone who could be good. counting on him to be some kind of ace will probably leave you dissappointed in the end somehow.
  14. absolutely. and rowand seems like such an integral part of the team. i say we keep everyone that we can unless we can work some amazing deal.
  15. castillo's good...but you really want to dump iguchi after the year he just had?!
  16. i cant listen to it because of geography. whatever
  17. does anyone actually feel slighted by their description of crede's homerun? their descriptions for the other plays are just as bland. i think some people are being a little oversensitive. you cant expect all media outlets to say "world series champion" before they say white sox every single time we are mentioned. its not even that big of a deal. the play speaks for itself. since you can watch it, the description hardly matters.
  18. yeah, id have to agree with you. shea is absolutely terrible, the worst in the majors by far.
  19. sure. good for podsedenik
  20. like i've said in the other two threads about blum's signing with the padres: thanks for one swing, buddy. see ya.
  21. we got to lose somebody. i wish we could keep everyone, but no dice.
  22. i got to disagree with you. piazza is so past his prime. i know there is a weak free agent list this year, but there has to be somebody better than piazza for the DH role. somebody!
  23. interesting, but who would we part with
  24. some amazing plays on there
