It is just one of those things guys. Kickers fail in big moments, it happens. The Bears played well enough to win if Parkey does his job. Everyone forgets that the reason why Gould got cut is because he cost them 3 wins a few seasons ago.
I wouldn't. Trubisky reminds me of a young Aaron Rodgers. The game is still a little faster than it should be for him at this stage, but I think MVP seasons are on the horizon for him.
Horrible. Mitch is just as talented as Mahomes. The thing that Mahomes has over Mitch is game experience. I could totally see Mitch have a 45+ TD season 2-3 years from now, and keep it up.
The horrible thing is that there is no way in hell they're this healthy next year. It just doesn't happen. You have to win Super Bowls when you're as healthy as the Bears were this year.
Hopefully Mitch continues to develop. Sadly, the media will be blaming him for the Bears losing when he didn't commit any turnovers. Mitch did everything he could in the 2nd half to help the Bears win that game. Mitch severely outplayed Watson and Jackson this weekend, but yet the national media thinks Mitch sucks and those two are great....
I just want it to be 3/1 ASAP so that I don't have to log onto soxtalk and see all this bullshit about Harper/Machado anymore. I want to talk about real baseball.
No problem with a little ball busting. I deserve it for some of the shit I posted on here between September and December.
Anyway, I really thought Inciarte played LF.
Unless the OF is Pollock, Engel is starting anyway, unless somehow they can swing a trade for Fisher or Tapia.
Keuchel is the only SP on the market worth signing left, other than garbage diving guys like Pomeranz or Buchholz.
They only have $50M on the books this year. If they spent an additional 70 M to get that done, that is still only a 120M payroll which is modest these days. It is absolutely doable as long as the Keuchel and Pollock contracts come off the books when some of the guys start to get expensive in Arb.
Agreed.
I think that if they got Machado, Keuchel(who is a Buehrle type at this point of his career) and Pollock, with some improvement by Rodon, Lopez and Giolito that is a contender in 2019.
If the Sox land Machado, I don't think they're getting Harper and are going to spread money around to fill other holes. If Pollock's market is basically non-existent, I wouldn't mind grabbing him. I still have this sneaky suspicion that Abreu is going to the Astros and will sign back with the Sox after the season.
